  • I wanna go there, so bad it´s too expensive!

  • I think that water is piped in from the nuclear power plant up the road. Lol! Iceland is really a cool place. I want to go there. Only when it's not so crowded!

  • @seattwa no we don´t have nuclear power in Iceland...this water is drilled from underground...

  • Wow thats busy, hope I don't hit it on a day like that.

  • im from the cool iceland ;D

  • o.o Apparently, there is a geothermal power plant there and the heat output was put into water to make a spa...

  • There are usually not so many people there.

  • best airport waiting room ever

  • Search Chavasqueira or Outariz. Spanish Therms japanese style . Flip flops, towel and suit dressed obligatory. 3.50 euros for one hour and half. Have a Sushi bar

  • that place is so much fun!!! i miss it so much. my favorite part was to go whne it was snowing. you'd get into the water, jump and and roll in the snow and then jump back in.^_^

  • WHAT???? so many people?

i've never been there where there they are so many!

  • ah to many people there but i want yo go there

  • I have to tell u this is a very busty day and yes it is fantatic but the old onee was much better in its dat before some one dird xx

  • unfortunately, everyone is drinking beer and is too lazy to get out of the pool so they just pee in the lagoon. ick!

  • Wow you got it on a really busy day.

Last time I went there was like 40 people overall, and over half of it was from our group.

Just to prove it was quite, we were throwing a rubber rugby ball from 1 side to the other.

  • This was the weekend of some huge music festival...and for the life of me I cannot remember what it was called. Juliet Lewis was there with her band (in the pool)

  • Ahh, that explains it

  • gross, it looks like a communal bath.

  • well, no one goes in there without swimsuits on, its just like every other pool, except its in geothermal hot natural water

  • it isint natural water haha

  • yes it is

  • No it came from Hitaveitu Suðurnesja, its water leftovers (ef þú ert frá Íslandi þá ættiru að vita þetta)

  • Það var einusinni natural

  • What the heck else would it be, synthetic water?

  • its stupid to say 'it isint natural water' the thing hes trying to say is probably that its not what everyone think it is, some hot water that comes from under the ground and is heated by natural causes and all that, its just water from some waterfactory or whatever, the Blue Lagoon isint all natural

  • oh and this is with facilities of showers, a restaurant etc.. you have to pay to get in there and let me tell you, its not cheap.. the water is filled with silica etc and its very healthy for the skin

  • It is indeed not cheap but it is worth it.

I was on a rainy day in june and there were almost no people there at all. Later on the day after 1pm there were more people coming into the lagoon.

Did you know only a few km underneath the lagoon you have hot lava :)

  • yes, it is very much worth it :)

I knew it was natural hot water, and I knew my country has active volcanoes, and I've been there, but I mustve forgot, hot lava right under there, that is so awesome :O

  • Lol... forgot? How do u think the water stays hot?
