Colorado in general is a very backwards and intolerant state. Even in downtown Denver gay people get harassed. Just last year a young gay couple was attacked in Boulder by college students. This is the future, and they are so bigoted. It's scary that young people are getting so ignorant, even in college.
Speech is full of interolance against behaviors like drunk drivers, pediophiles, overeaters, sexists, homosexual behaviour, poligimists, & people who don't buckle their seat belts.
I'll bet you just said that some of these "intolerances" are OK, and some aren't.
"Interolance" is usually just code for intolerance of behaviors which are fashionable with the left and not the right. And so "intolerance" is OK with you or not depending on which side of an issue it's on!?
I'm proud of these students, and happy that the local media realizes the importance of both the problem and student response. I've been at CC for 19 years, and think the campus climate has gotten more intolerant in the past five or six years.
