  • You know I think the model for Venniea was re-used in later Thomas Series...

  • used to love this when i was little, amazing!!

  • Zorran: You crook!

Lillie: That's good coming from you, Zorran!

    LOL

  • who heard zorran say damn

  • I really love the music at the end.

  • @scifiguy9000 Yeah I love how the part of the singing at the end fades back into the ending TUGS theme!

  • oh well at least we still have thomas the tank eneiiiii....ooh nevermind

  • *sigh* back when people knew how to make children's TV shows...oh, how I wish this had a DVD!

  • @TrainzMovieTheatre

The TUGS fan base on SIF has a signing pention to get it on DVD.

  • I still feel very emotional when I watch the end. It's just so dang beautiful and sad at the same time.

  • you have to say what away to send off a brilliant childrens show, goodbye vienna, i mean goodbye at the end of and era, sometimes brings a tear to your eye. goodbye vienna, more like goodbye tugs...

  • What?! You Crook!

That's good, coming from you, Zorran.

    Ah heeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh

    XD

  • Gosh, that's left me all slightly tingly inside lol That's my childhood right there :)

  • does anyone know the name of the song a the end of the episode

  • @wootang2k9 Mike O'Donnell stated that there was talk to release a single of the theme music. This was sung by "Sue and "Sunny". It was never finished, but what was left is what you hear in this episode!

  • aww this is the last epaside this show is great :)

  • it'd be interesting to see the main characters of the series on Sodor, working in the waterways of Brendam Docks, Knapford Harbour or the Wharf

  • I wonder what TUGS would look like in 3D animation.

  • @SuperDooperVideoBoy Well a team of people could mod GTA IV to make digital tugs episodes. lot of hard work though, but it'd be a great starting block since Tugs is based in NY aswell, and the look of the water is similar.

  • @Overpair tugs was not based in NY it was based on the london docks

  • @roadwolf2 i'd disagree since in regatta we see them with american flags

  • @ruppy99 And the episode 4th of July itself. It's an American Holiday. The Tugs and ships are based on American boats, and American cars are seen around the ports.

  • @TheRyanCarMan Well, in the UK, we not known for our tug boats. So a lot of it has to be based on American things. But I don't recall any of the English voices ever being American. Lancastrian (Nantucket), Geordie (Sunshine), Welsh (O.J.), Scottish (Numerous), Irish (Boomer), West Country (Billy Shoepack), Estuary English (Ten Cents), queen's English (Various). Their attitude isn't very American either (luckily). There's probably a mix because of it being created by one Brit and one American.

  • @jeneshisugakuto Ten Cents accent was a Londoners, you missed out that Top Hat's was an Arostcartic English and Feddie and Eddie (His Railway bardges) had Cocknie accents...

  • im sure there was an episode where the railway bridge was broken and top hat saved puffer with a rubbish boat..

    can someone help?

  • @ravenbez That episode is called "High Tide."

  • Hope to be in Hit Entertainments DVDs!

  • The song at the end always brings a tear to my eye, and a lump to my throat.

  • i love the song at the end its so well worded

  • 13 Episodes and 1 season. Why did it have to end so quickly! :' (

  • Mabye they were busy filming Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends.

  • @LGee14

Perhaps, but i don't know WHY it had to end!

  • @LGee14 no, Britt left the show.

  • hercules definitely gay who else calls ppl darlings. and dont get me started on top hat

  • Actually he's more suave old bachelor and as un-gay as he possibly can be.

  • TUGS FOREVER! They should really put this on dvd

  • great end to a great show

  • LONG LIVE TUGS ! Love the ending by the way, my fav part out of this episode.

  • just for anyone who couldn't here, these are whatn I think the lyrics are at the end;

    far away

    across the sea

    I'm missing you

    you're missing me

but no matter how far away you are

know that I'm here to guide you...home.

  • I wish there was a full version of that song :D

  • Like the song at the end.

  • CAUSE YOUR NOT BIG ENOUGH. Classic memories!

  • one of the greatest children series ever also apperantly it's Vienna who sings at a the end.

  • it seems it was a singer on board not the boat

  • Damn, they really knew how to make kids tv when we were growing up, eh?

I don't suppose anyone knows the name of that song at the end?

  • there never making any more episodes because they sold them to Britt Allcroft who heavily altered them so theres never going to be another episode

  • its sad to see this show go, but it was for the best..... if it stayed on air, sHIT entertainment would probebly f**ked it up

  • the end of this one always gets me...

  • the song is so beautiful in the end

  • It's sad that TUGS had to end. I really like this series. There's probably no way it could come back now.

  • @JTHMBirdGuy777 I dont know why - the models still exist and most are in working order.

  • @JTHMBirdGuy777 Yeah. All the models were cut up and used for scrap in the Thomas and Friends series. It really is a shame.

  • i remember watching this when i was like 5. im now 17. sure brings bak memories. nd i realise now that the ending was so perfect for it to finish. goodbye tugs. god speed

  • I wonder whatever happen to Zip and Zug after the Fire Chief caught them. Did he report them to Captain Zero?

  • I actually just teared up because the ending was so beautifull!

  • One of the best endings you'll see on any programme, let alone a cartoon. Fantastic.

I swear that if I ever get rich enough, I will commission a new series of this show. I swear.

  • Vienna looks very simailer to the RMS Titanic.

  • Alot of ships did back then but I see your point

  • Comment removed

  • All the characters in Tugs was based on real life vessels including the Liners:

"Duchess" was the SS Imperator / RMS Berengaria

"Princess Alice" was the "Empress of Ireland" (sank in 1914, killing 1024)

"Vienna" had RMS Aquitania's superstructure, but with distinctive staggered pairs of funnels similar to the SS Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse. In Salty's Lighthouse she was callad R.M.S. Martania in homage to RMS Mauretania but does not look like her.

  • May be a throwback, especially since the episode is all about ice. :P

  • A beautiful ending to a splendid series...

  • who was the singer in it?, ust of blow the budget on this 1!

  • They could make more of these hey. would be so good.

  • ahhhh man it was a good show, they dont make em like they used to, tugs was legendary! x

  • Perfect way to end the series, and i miss it to

  • And that was the last time TUGS ever saw the sun.

  • I miss TUGS so much.

  • What a happy ending. I'll miss this show :'-)

  • i miss this show

    SO MUCH

  • Bon voyage, Vienna!

  • Can someone give me the lyrics of Vienna's song? It's beautiful!

  • From what I could make out:

    Far away,

    Across the seas,

    I'm missing you,

    You're missing me,

But no matter how far away you are,

Know that I'm here to guide you home.

  • That's actually the TUGS theme lyrics. Vienna has no song to herself.

  • in fantasy Studios she is the Liner That the boy Tony Pilot Silver arrived to the Port onboard in.

  • Thanks for uploading Bigg Freeze!!!

  • bye lads god-speed!!
