  • damn 3:00 would totally be a flagrant today. weird how much it's changed in just 10 yrs

  • Harper-Fisher-Shaw as your pg rotation? That's not even fair.

  • horry's the man

  • Bottom-line

The Lakers deserved the three peat

The Blazers choked in Game 7 and then the next 3 straight years to LA

For the Kings it was controversial, David Stern set up a game 7 in that series to make it epic. The Kings choked in there own building so the Lakers deserved it again. Unfortunetly the only team to take the Lakers out in this era were the faggot ass Spurs. And I cant stand either the Lakers or the Spurs!!!! Too bad my Pistons couldn't repeat in 2005. Fuck you Horry!!!

  • da blazers could have been a Dynasty if they had won da Series wit LA

  • gotta love scottie's leadership tellin his team to calm down

  • lol WMBA at 1:57

  • 0:59 TURNING POINT

  • LOL 5:00 "Brian Grant who has been completely ineffective...." Shaq looks like hes gonna eat his little ass.

  • fuck i miss bill walton

  • i absolutely couldn't believe the graphic they showed around the 2:45 mark of this video. How does Shaq only have 7 shots with only 9 minutes left in the game? I don't care how badly he got himself into foul trouble, he should have at least 15 shots.

  • thank you so much for posting this. wanted to see this epic comeback/meltdown for myself.

  • Uh ohh, someones a little peeved about this year's 4 game sweep. . Anyway, all I was saying is that when they fell down 75 to 60 in this game, NOBODY thought they could come back. And they did.

  • Damn. The Lakers got so lucky they won this game. They didn't defend Portland during that huge run to overcome the deficit. Portland just went ice cold for wwwaaaayyyy to long and the Lakers finally took over. But still, what a great game this was. I am not even a laker fan, but I can still appreciate a classic, epic NBA game.

  • @mightybedbugs

1:02 (Kobe block)...2:56 (contested 3)...4:17 (contested Wallace jumper)...6:34 (Shaw strips Pippen)...8:29 (steal by Shaw)...what game were you watching??? That's what makes me laugh...people go out of their way to diminish what the Lakers do. They came back and earned this game...they didn't LUCK out. If that's the case, the MJ's Bulls 'lucked out' in '92 against Portland in Gm 6 or Dallas 'lucked out' four times this on their way to the title. That's BS

  • @cbaldwinjr So I guess Game 6 vs. the Kings was greatness too? Oops, your whole argument just went out the window.

  • @Trinidadian125

What was my 'argument' island man? I stated examples. You have ONE game...and SOME bad calls. The whole game wasn't just some big USA/USSR Olympic fix. So save it. But for the last time...the Kings had Game Seven IN THEIR HOUSE in 2002. And they couldn't get it done. So save your snark for someone who can't see through you like sequins.

  • @cbaldwinjr "Island" man? Save the racism - unless you're Native American, you're as much of an immigrant as I am.

ONE game? SOME bad calls? It's widely accepted that game was FIXED. That's the game we actually know about. I'm sure there are other examples... this game might be one of them. The 2002 WCF should never have gotten to a Game 7. You're just making up excuses to make it seem like the Kings choked. They didn't. You can't win when you gotta beat the other team AND a corrupt commish.

  • @Trinidadian125 widely excepted by who you dirty island bitch? on the networks they talk about how one ref who got busted called it out for cheating. But in no way does majority of what u hear from nba players/ analyst or coaches say or even hint towards a fix. Only cry baby kings fans and other laker hating fans come up with this. I know your a little kid so ill take it easy on you but next time u want to put your opinion out there try not to say things that no smart adult would ever respect

  • @Trinidadian125 only a cry baby bitch like you would think thats a case closer to point to a game where they got alot of calls there way. One person who was getting in trouble already tried to create a conspiracy by saying the fix was in so it MUST be true..case closed haha its so great to hear intellectuals speak then listen to ignorant little kids such as yourself tell your weak opinions that have nothing real supporting but say it as if it were stone cold facts Ah to be dumb and young again

  • @Trinidadian125 You're right... It never should have gotten to game 7. There were calls that went the Kings way at end of game 6. And as for game seven. The Kings did choke. They missed 20 FREE THROWS. 20! If that's not choking then I don't know what is. As for this game The refs didn't make Portland miss all those shots. They choked. Simple as that.

  • lol at 550

  • Whatever happened to Bonzi Wells?? That boy had game!!

  • The sketchiest game of the decade was Game 6 of the 2001 WCF. That was robbery, and I'm a Laker fan. Doesn't compare to the last four games of the 2006 Finals though. 98 FT attempts for one player? Holy shit.

  • Damn i remember watching this lakers game on tv. It's been 11 years already damn.

  • shaq is a monster :D

  • 15 points in ten minutes.. blazers should have won!

  • Cmon Staples Center open the lights to show those sexy purple seats I miss the old days

  • The lakers in this game are a good example of a team, that endures and perseveres.

If they had entertained any thought of doubt, they would have lost.

  • My question: why didn't Portland go for more inside shots late in the 4th? It was all jumpers. Ah well, I turned off the game in the 4th, all to find out that the Lakers won the next day.

  • Hahaha Resheed actually agreed he fouled.

  • Too bad, would have been sweet to see Pippen get a 7th ring. I remember this game, the Blazers really blew it in the 4th..

  • they shud of play damon the whole 4th quarter he would a got them points they needed to put the lakers away ! but the coach is a dummy

  • ddam kobe has had that finger wrapped up here too..hes bin having this problem for a while already..

  • I'm a bigg Lakers fan, But shaq was in the paint from 0:29- 0:39. They should have called a 3 second violation.

  • great basketball, two awesome ball clubs battling it out. even if la didn't make it out of the WCF, a team from the west would have had the ring that year no doubt.

  • i love watching these games from the early 2000s, the nba was more entertaining back then. by the way kobe wouldnt have won without shaq vice versa and same for jordan and pippen

  • That should have been a Flagrant Foul on Bonzie Wells at 3:03.

  • 3 sec. Shaq :39

    goaltending Kobe 1:37

    Horry fouls Wallace 4:18

    Sabonis 5th 4:29

    Wallace foul 5:30

    3 sec Shaq 7:52 leads to a 3.

  • Makes me sad how the Staples Center is loud and everyone is wearing yellow shirts back in '00 but in '10 the Crowd is nothing but rich snobs who are quiet for the most part and leave the yellow shirts :'( Thats what the NBA needs nowadays. A Loud crowd!

  • It doesn't help that ABC mutes the crowd noise so we can listen to the idle musings of Mark Jackson. Yuk.

  • @TheBrainMachine78 Yuk indeed >.<

  • So how did the refs make Portland take all those bad shots and thus allowing the Lakers to come back in this game?

  • 0:21 MARK THATS WHERE THE LAKERS START THERE COMEBACK

  • this isnt a kobe v james video either. i was just pointing out he gets help. kobe does to but LBJ as well. He's a great player no doubt. Still has a ways to go before you compare to Kobe. And as far as cavs comparison to Lakers'?? well. we'll leave that one alone. enjoy the videos.

  • I know the Lakers' do not own this video. This video depicts one of the greatest victories in recent Lakeshow history. So, usually L.A fans watch. But in some instances, fans of the other teams as well. Dont be ashamed to admire from afar. Sorry If I offended your sight with my horrible typing. Hey at least your good at complaining about pointless shit. So you got that. See you around.

  • i laugh everytime bill walton talks haha

  • SIMMONS! oh and I love the Lakers! Los Angeles till I die!

  • I don't think the Lakers' gym has been that loud since this game.

  • 'sheed and dunleavy blew game 7. the refs gave the lakers game 6.

  • @pbl1 not like this, but you should check you're history. the lakers LOST game 6, so i'm not sure what you're talking about "the refs gave the lakers game 6"

  • losers always say they nba is bought.

  • wow shut the fuck up haters...dont you realize 15 point defecit can erase in a minute in basketall...thats 5 made 3 pointers fukkin idiots

  • the bought game...the nba lost his credibility

  • well the better franchise showed the clutch it had to win the game.......

  • Too much Shaq in this game. I feel bad for Portland. That team was crazy deep. JONeal couldnt even get off the bench. Portland really needed for Game 7 to be in Portland....LA crowd was pumped

  • i miss the old nba theme song. that shit used to get me amped up lol

  • @415jdookie-agreed!! they need to bring the nba back to nbc.

  • @415jdookie

What do you mean, used to get you amped up? It still gets me amped up!!!

  • well rasheed wallace gets his revenge in 2004

  • MAN A 15 POINT LEAD , PORTLAND SHOULD HAVE PLAYED CLOCK MANAGEMENT FROM HERE , THIS WAS A MISSED OPPORTUNITY FOR THE BLAZERS , pippen had his chance to win a ring widout mike , its funny to see phil coachin the other team but when you look at it blazers didnt get screwed but they kinda screwed themselves they had there chance dam

  • you porkland fans are pathetic......10 years n u still crying hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Quit blaming the refs laker haters..they were up by 15 in the 4th quarter..the failblazers choked..the year before that they were up on the spurs by 18 in the second half in a playoff game...whenn the tough got going the blazers would run and hide

  • All of these haters have one thing in common. They get man handled and mistreated by the Lakers. The Lakers have devastated these franchises with crushing defeats. Dont blame the refs or the Lakers fans if your teams lacked the heart to pick themselves up from a beating. Reduced to complaining. Where is your pride?? hahaha

  • @Interloper83 hey buddy the only reason you even won this series was cause sheed sucked a fat one for the jail blazers. nice try though, im sure all the "haters" are hurt by your bullshit. oh, by the way, HATERS IS NOT AN INSULT. i hate dumb fucking lakers fans who are always talking about "haters." hey, maybe if everyone else doesnt like your team, MAYBE THERES A REASON FOR IT. retard.

  • @KobraCola Instead of hater I'll use bitter person with a penchant for losing. I guess they hate for a reason. Most reason's end up being rooted in them losing to us. I was just cutting to the chase but I can explain to you if you insist. You dont have to like the team and you dont have to insult or come to a Lakers' video to not hate but express your negative opinions of the Lakers which are based on past losses. Thanks for watching my vid's and the glorious history of the Lakers.

  • @Interloper83 I meant to say THE vid's not MY vid's. peace.

  • @Interloper83 A penchant for losing? I don't think any fan of any team has a penchant for losing there bud. Haha, there's the favorite Faker fan word again "hate." No need for an apostrophe there. I'm sorry, I speak English, what does "Most reason's end up being rooted in them losing to us" mean? That might be the most poorly constructed sentence I've ever had the misfortune to read. Check it again there pal, this is not a Lakers video. The Lakers don't own this video and it only includes them.

  • @Interloper83 This is an NBA video. I loathe the Fakers not because they have beat my team. Believe or not, my team has beat the Fakers in the past too. See, that's what Fakers fans don't get, especially the bandwagon ones: every team will have its day. The Fakers will one day realize the true potential of their suckiness. The reason that I and most other NBA fans detest the Fakers is in their name itself: Not only do they cheat and use cheap tactics to win, but they, as a team, are the biggest

  • @Interloper83 Fakers in the NBA. They act up on all sorts of different calls and because of Kobe's star power and because David Stern loves to have certain teams do well in general, they end up winning on a lot of biased calls. It is obvious that Stern has been controlling the refs for years, and if you don't believe me, you need to open your eyes. The refs in the NBA are far worse than refs in other sports because they literally decide games. Ask any sportswriter which pro sport has the worst

  • @Interloper83 refs and they will undoubtedly tell you it's the NBA.

  • @KobraCola You understand what I was trying to say. I love when people attack misspelling on youtube. I guess I can understand why you did it. To take the focus away on your loser ways. Its obvious you'd follow me to hell to continue this game. But It's not a game. Most likely If It was you would lose like your favorite team. I notice you have not told me what team you root for because they probably stink. If your a Blazers' fan. Just look at Snapper Jones. No he's not bitter . LOL.

  • @Interloper83 No, I didn't because you were talking like a retarded person with asperger's. Learn how to use grammar and spelling dumbfuck. My loser ways? What the fuck are those dumb piece of shit? What game are you referring to? The one where the Fakers lose in the 1st round to the Sonics, i mean Thunder? Actually, if you're so curious, you fag, my team is the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wait, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we fucked your record in half this season? I'm pretty sure we have a

  • @Interloper83 better record. No, but, correct me if I'm wrong dumbass. I'm not a Blazers fan, actually, but they're definitely a better team than your team. I would say my Cavs are gonna make your Fakers look like a Maine D-League team, but the gay-ass Fakers won't even make it to the finals. Have fun trying to get past KD and the Sonics, whoops Thunder, in the first round. Even if you do, there's no way the Fakers go far this year, they have literally zero chemisty. Try again fuckface.

  • @KobraCola yea cavs. how many championships do they have? you talk about referee help. maybe you havnt seen LBJ play. your a hypocritical joke.

  • @Interloper83 Thanks for the support bro, "yeah cavs." I'm not exactly sure how that is relevant to this season, please explain? When did I say anything about referee help? Actually, I have, many times. As you may or may not know (you may not, I'm guessing you're a bandwagon fakers fan who just happens to live in the worst city in the U.S., L.A.), LeBron is actually the MVP this year. Though that might've slipped past you. I have seen him play, actually. Many times. How so? Because LeBron

  • @Interloper83 attacks the basket more than Kobe and other players, seeing their opportunity, decide to hack at him in any chance of him getting hurt? I think those free throws are earned. Furthermore, I'd like to remind you that he doesn't lead the league in FT's attempted. Maybe Kobe should try to attack the basket more in his old age? I know it's hard for him, but go ahead, keep on sucking his d. I don't care. The fakers still suck cock.

  • @KobraCola better luck next year.

  • @Interloper83 with what?

  • @KobraCola Cavs winning a title. Think Lebron is coming back? What do you think?

  • @Interloper83 Haha, oh I forgot about that. I made up that I was a Cavs fan, I'm not actually. Why would I tell you what team I support? So you can attempt to lambast it? No thanks. As to your question(s), I wonder myself what LeBron will do for next season. I think there actually is a fairly good chance that he may come back, but, on the other hand, the Cavs really fucked this one up. They tied too much of their assets up in far-too-large contracts for players that arent as good as their

  • @Interloper83 contracts. However, he might go back to Cleveland. I'm not sure if you read Bill Simmons, but he made a good point that I agree with that I don't think LeBron's main goal is to win as many championships as possible. At least he hasn't appeared to go after it as hungrily as MJ or other such fierce competitors did. And he already makes a shitton of money in Cleveland, so it's not really necessary for him to go to a "big market" city in today's global internet world. I think the

  • @Interloper83 decision he makes will show us, the basketball world, a bit more about himself and his character.

  • @Interloper83 You mean like Sucramento after we came back to kick their Asses in 2002, with Game 7 being played in their Backyard?

  • @Interloper83 stfu dude

  • @uncthebest2005 You must be a journalist.

  • @Interloper83 um..nope. i'm not all on the Lakers ballsacks..

  • @uncthebest2005 YEA your too busy gobbling up tarheel nuts. I know your not a Bobcat fan. Thanks for S.Brown if you are. I hope your enjoying Radmanovic.

  • @Interloper83 Hahahaha. Nicely said. Go Lakers.

  • @Interloper83 Tim Donaghy.

  • @davd1986 Much easier than acknowledging the outcome for what it was. W for the Fastbreak Lakers.

  • @davd1986

    fuk

say what u want that aint gonna change things

    lol stupid ass

  • I'm getting extremely tired of these "lot of calls" and "refs on the lakers' side" comments. If the Lakers had lost, the focus would then be on how many calls the blazers got. The blazers lost it themselves by shooting low % in this quarter.

  • WAKE UP! they did the same thing against the Kings.

  • Wrong. That was a different and very blatantly corrupt game. Donaghy was fired for that.

  • Donaghy didn't even ref that game. Donaghy was fired for betting on games not for fixing them.

  • How so?

  • @swingingfordearlife donoghy was not fired for that

  • Yeah I was wrong, he just spoke on how it was rigged and the betting and such, everyone knows it was. Pardon me for being incorrect.

  • 4:44 bullshit call. It was definitely NOT a foul on Sabonis' behalf.

  • I love the Lakers, but they got A LOT of calls in the 4th...

  • i was glad when Shaq left L.A. I got tired of hearing the announcers talking about how Shaq needs touches every goddamn minute. Jesus.

  • i got tired of shaq standing at the free throw line watching shots go up when his lazy ass should've been going for rebounds.

  • refs in la ha ha ha blazers had no chance against the refs

and the beat them selfs every body know that

  • It wasn't even about the refs in this series. The blazers beat them selves. Bill Walton said it at the end of this game. They had a chance to win this game but they gave it away. This was one of Pippen's last good seasons.

  • how bout that call at 6:12?

  • I dont know if people remember how good the blazers were. They had sheed at his best in my opinion, Scottie was still OK, and . But B Shaw caught fire at the wrong time, Oh well.

  • Rasheed was and still is a very good player. In fact he's probably one of the most talented forward's to every play the game. But there was always something about Rasheed that held him back. Every game he either took too many 3's, fouled too much, or didnt handle double teams well. A lot of people, including Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson, have said if Rasheed could just play smarter, he'd be one of the greatest power forwards of all time.

  • the truth is, we won.. enough said.

  • Dunleavy is the reson why they lost this game. He doesnt know when to call a time out...If the blazers would have had a better coach they would have won...

  • You don't get an unlimited amount of time outs. He can't be calling timeouts every time the Lakers scored a basket. He coached well, he just got beat by Shaq and Kobe.

  • When a team blows a 15 point lead that means there is a lack of disipline.....he did not keep them playing as hard as they were.....when the lakers started coming back the blazers starting playing differently then they were before....thats why they lost and thats why he got fired

  • shaqs elbow to sabas was offensive foul on shaq...scottie pippen was clearly fouled on his way to lay the ball up...and that doesnt even matter, Dunleavy should have used the greg popovich technique of hacke shaq to the line in the 4th if he would have brought jermaine o'neal in and sacrificed him and have him foul shaq every posestion, that would have disurbed the flow of Phil Jacksons game plan respectivly..but Dunleavy being Dunleavy chose to let game play it self out

  • man youre an idiot. if portland had even made one basket during that 15-0 run, those "bad calls" wouldn't even matter. the blazers grew vaginas, straight up

  • ur a dumb ass read what i wrote..i said dunleavy was stupid for not bringing in jermaine oneal and having him do the hack a shaq routine on shaq..and yeah if portland did get some of those calls then they would have scored a few free throws here and there to score during that run

  • shut the fuck up. no one cares

  • yeah only a laker fan would have a tough time accepting the truth

  • Figures you would say that. So here's the truth, and the bottom line: the Lakers won, Portland lost. The end.

  • what ever man..had we had a better smarter coach..who would have played the hack a shaq routine then horry and shah wouldnt be able to save u guys

  • phil jackson = 10 championship

    mike dunleavy= ZERO championship

hmm... i wonder who is the better coach?

  • hearing tanter go "three pointer robert horryyyy" after his 3 got my dick hard

  • only idiots think the NBA games are fixed...get over the conspiracy theories and watch the game. Portland missed a lot of shots and the Lakers made shots. The Lakers defense picked up and Portland could not get rebounds and stops.

  • idiots

    search Tim Donaghy

  • i think the game looked fixed at 2002 till he got caught watching spurs was a joke

  • u cant jus say its fixed because of EVERY comeback a team has. Theres more easy wins then comebacks in the NBA. If it was fixed theyd havae dramatic games every time in the playoffs.

did u hear the crowd go nuts at this game.? That would get to me if i was Portland as well

    jus shut up

  • dude shut the hell up

  • 1 pass and lots of 1v1 play while lakers actually started running the triangle with shaq. Better coaching and players shine in the 4th quarter. I am a blazer fan but this was a well deserved comeback. =(

  • what happened to that little jingle after every break? :(

    its gone now.

  • Did the refs give up 4 three pointers in the fourth?

Did the refs miss 13 straight shots?

Did the refs miss two big free throws down the stretch?

No, No, and No. There was no fix here...the Blazers blew it more than the Lakers won it.

  • I am a huge lakers fan but I have to admit the 2000 portland trailblazers, from top to bottom, had a better roster. I considered them the greatest nba team to have never won a championship. Damon Stoudamire, Scottie Pippen, Rasheed Wallace, Detlef Schrempf, Jermaine Oneal, Brian Grant, Bonzi Wells, Greg Anthony, & Steve Smith...that's a sick lineup!!!!

  • this HAS to be up there in the ranks of the the greatest tragedy in sports history, behind the 2002 finals between sac and la. In fact, this is what started it all. sad that this group was prevented from winning a championship, would have been great. but 2009 is the year!

  • This game hurts so bad to this day. This past series with Houston brought all that pain back in a weird sort of way. If we could have got that rebound when Kobe threw up that wild shot when it was 75-60, it would have been over.

Notice how Wallace just went ice cold all of a sudden?

This loss put the franchise back 6 years,,,,,,,,there is some sunlight ahead though..........

  • you're team scares me as a lakers fan, well in portland anyway lol. but yea theyre only gona get better. one or two good role players away from dominance.

  • NBC have a better quality than ABC!!

  • and better music.

  • and better announcers even as annoying as bill walton and snapper jones were they were still better.

  • not hard to be better than van gundy and mark jackson lol

  • That'z true

  • Do you have this in better quality?

  • @Liface shut up unless you're gonna put one up

  • i miss the nba on nbc so much... that song brings back memories

  • U and me both. It seems like everytime Mike Dunleavy gets his team to big game situations, he ends up on the outs.

  • Looking at this dunleavy might as well have left Sabonis in or put in Jermaine O'neal cause Brian Grant did nothing.

Also he should have called a timeout after the Horry 3

  • Snapper Jones is such a Laker hater, he doesn't even hide it. What a douche.

  • damn your right i never noticed that before, he says everything against la

  • Dude, that's just the tip of the iceberg. I know the guy played for the Blazers, but he never EVER attempted to have any objectivity during NBC games with the Lakers.

  • True and you see how quiet he was when his poor little monkey ass Jailblazers blew that lead and eventually lost the series. He could hate the Lakers all he wants too. He never could or never will beat them.

  • i like the 7:40 mark and how the crowd stands up all dramatically

  • When that crowd stood up, momentum was beaming at the Lakers. Greatest come back in history of the NBA playoffs.

  • crowds dont do that anymore these days

  • i think its because it was game 7 of the western conference finals and they came back besides there are plenty of stadiums that make noise still.

  • Is Ghandalf the Laker's public address announcer??

  • haha rasheed wallace's expression "ima smack that bitch!"

  • i'm not gay!! you're sucking meye dick

  • 2 males copulating together, receiving or giving, is gay. you are gay.

  • this is one of the best comebacks in playoff history, even though this was the western conference finals, this was the nba finals, the two best teams, and whoever won this was gonna get the ring, i honestly thought portland had the best all around team, they had one of the deepest teams in nba history, shaq and kobe were just too much but i honestly said portland waited to long to start playing in the series

  • Brian Shaw, the 12th year pro, the vetrean, helped spark one of the most memorable comeback in NBA Playoffs history..

  • Yeah, Brian Shaw is a very very solid player.
