3rd was put on tummy, was bottle fed by me shortly after birth in labor & delivery. Roomed in with me. only going to the corridor right near my room to be put on a portable heart test because she moaned for 12 hours, 3 temp drops brought back up with heated singlet on head on a cold winters night in a cold maternity ward without heating. Returned back and forth between my room and the corridor right outside my room. Pacifer stopped 12 hours of moaning. No need for Humidicrib/NNU/Nursery care.
With 2nd, cord cut from being wrapped around his neck twice, when stopped pushign for midwife to cut the cord. Put right on tummy, midwife put his mouth onto my breast, vitamin k shot, bathed and dressed by Dad with pictures taken by Me-Mom. Went to SCBU to be heated in a tent for a few hours then returned to me. Discharged home on the bottl at 24 horus old.
All 3 place on my tummy straight after birth, None of my newborns got suctioned at birth. Only 1 put under a radiant warmer at 1 hour old adn then put in a humidicrib she had TTN caused by Artificial Rupture of Membranes during a rapid vaginal birth. All 3 were winter babies, 2nd and 3rd were even quicker rapid births and did not develop TTN from amniotic fluid because with those natural vaginal deliveries the membranes ruptured on there own.

you can put the baby on the basin when you gave them bath, its much easier than putting the baby in a football position.only do the football position when you will shampoo the baby
