  • I love her Hair!!!!

  • thumbs up if creed bratton from the office sent you here

  • CFC emissions had not been outlawed in America in the sixties. I suspect that all the Aqua Net she used in that hairdo must be responsible for a portion of the ozone layer's depletion. It just will not move. However, is good to know her breasts were as large then as they are now. Had it not been for them, I do not think I would have recognized her.

  • GOSH!! Dolly with a normal FACE!

  • how old is she in this

  • how old is this woman?

  • the amout of hairspray she used might be responsible for the depletion of the ozone layer, but no one can equal her singing!

  • wow that is the biggest chipmunk i have ever heard, lmao

  • @lonewolf8481 Shut up you fat fuck!

  • what an angel <3

  • Cool video I'll be back later to watch some more

  • Great song and a even greater artist, she wounderful!!!

  • normanowns0613 dude no offence but its not only your song. its a gospel song ment for ALL. i happen to love it. i've been saved for 3 years.

  • @TheNava19 Then may i suggest that if you are indeed "saved" & in the church, you should take the time to learn the difference between gospel hymns & gospel music. & yes there is a difference.

  • her voice is so amazing

  • seriously?....this was originally a slave hymn. Can we (Blacks) have nothing to ourselves? Or must every facet of OUR culture but raped by white society for a quick commercial profit?

  • @normanowns0613 You just promoted segregation in that comment.

  • @xFuriousMusicx Really? Because I thought I was promoting the preservation of a culture thats been oppressed for centuries & is now having their culture completely stripped from them (for profits no less) by the very same majority that told them NOT to embrace themselves & therefore their culture...

But no...you're right I must be promoting segregation.

  • @normanowns0613...I dislike your comment. The one thing blacks do have that whites can't take away is the color of your skin. Don't blame everything on the whites. Be proud of who you are and quit focusing on "slavery". It ended quite some time ago.

  • @sweetcharlie63@sweetcharlie63 Dislike all you want honey, it doesn't change the validity of my words. And if you'd like to take my skin color, I'd be more than happy to switch you. However, after experiencing the "double-standard" first hand, being racially profiled on a daily basis, or being declined a job for no apparent reason, you'll be BEGGING me for your skin back.

PS I happen to love the skin I'm in & my culture.

Thats why I cant stand to see Mrs. Parton singing a SLAVE HYMN.

  • @normanowns0613...then you've got problems you're bringing on yourself. FYI, I know what it's like to be a "minority". I am Gay and have dealt with a lot of crap over the years. Whether this is a slave song or not, to have Dolly Parton sing it, way back then, would be considered and honor. I sing it and plan on having it played at my service, are you going to object to that? What I don't understand is if you don't like "white folk" singing this song, then why did you come and view it?

  • @sweetcharlie63 Oh here we go, the gay card. "I'm gay...so I know what its like to be black". What a pile of flaming hot bullshit. You've insulted me yet again, congratulations. I'm also gay (what a coinkadink), & you shouldn't get me started on the discrimination that takes place within the gay community against blacks...Thats another can of worms you don't wanna open with me.

& STOP making me out to be a honkie hatter, I <3 white ppl, ask my BF. I just wish you'd get your own culture.

  • @normanowns0613...you've got some serious issues my friend. I never tried to make you out as a "honkey hatter" LOL @ that one! You go on about your rants. I've said all I want to. "honkey hatter" lol what's that? lol

  • @sweetcharlie63 haha im just fucking with ppl on here man. If i didn't, id probably turn into the next Malcolm X. When i start ranting about stupid shit like this, my BF (who is WHITE) tells me to go pick on poor souls on Youtube. Its just for shits & giggles. :p

  • @normanowns0613 it seems as though your disapproval is stemming from the fact that Dolly Parton is "white". I don't know what her skin color has to do with this song because this song was originally written by a Choctaw freedman. At one point he was indeed a slave, but he was not black. He was Native American.

  • @moonbeams90 oh honey please you're like two weeks late. You missed the debate. Try again next time. -_-

  • @normanowns0613 hahahahahahhaha omg i wasn't expecting that hahahahhaha touche, my nigga, touche.

that was funny! you're right, but i wasn't trying to get in on the debate. i just wanted to share some info.

  • amazing work is dne here

  • woo, she can sing.

  • A interpretação dela é muito show

  • Her face is beautiful and this is my favorite version of swing low, sweet chariot.

  • 10 people that know nothing about music rated this video.

  • i didnt understand all of this but its a beautiful voice

  • Damn, I was born 40 years too late.

  • Step aside Snooki. Dolly Parton is the founder of the hair bump!

  • The nine ones who dislike this must be bots... no human could possibly not like this!?

  • omg im doing dis song fpr choruss !:)

  • i like her hair style

  • i love this version. some of the other singers just seem to over-do it.

  • @littletooironic smh.....this was a slave song yet white people sing it not knowing the significance of this song....and they over do it because of the pain felt during the slave era....History LEARN IT!!!!

  • @destinetorite What make you the "presume' white people don't know the signifigance of this song??? maybey they "over do it' as you put it to help people forget the pain and the soaro of the slave days...did you ever consider that/

  • her hair is.... um..... ew.

  • BREGA BREGA BREGA MAHALIA JACKSON IS BETTER!

  • good vocals!

she is highly underestimated for her good voice with genuine emotion. She's the only one that can make me cry with her singing....Hat's off

  • @hypergenius You should take a listen to Joan Baez and her rendition of this song at Woodstock in 69. It's incredible!

  • sweet! Dolly is adorable! BTW, pretty sure that is a wig, she's been wearing them forever.

  • my favourite version of this song..:)

  • Does anyone sing this in Japanese???

  • @kinotori I dont think there are any famous Japanese singers sing this song, but the Japanese title is ゆれるよ幌馬車. I can't find Japanese lyric, but this is one of the most well known Spirituals music for Japanese people.

  • Wouldn't you love to be able to play the guitar that way?

  • does any1 hav the lyrics 4 her version of the song i cant find it anywhere? :(

  • that hair must be LOADS of trouble to care for...

  • It's hard to believe that even back then this style of haircut was a good idea...

  • Awesome take on the song. Great guitar work too.

  • Little head big hair but still GREAT VOICE!

  • WHAT A VOICE!

  • Well, it's one of the best versions of a song about our lords love, that i have heard for a long time...

  • I don't hardly know a shirt from a skirt, but I think that's a dress! Inside that dress are some of the best (ahem) pipes we'll ever hear, and Dolly tears this up! Carries me home!

  • i love her shirt haha

she has an amazing voice :)

  • there is only one Dolly

  • someone needs to take a lawnmower to that hair

  • This Is GOOD

  • shes like frickin barbie

  • She looks totally different nowadays....

  • Yeah. She looked so beautiful back in the day. Now, unfortunately, she has had too much work done on her face and wears too much makeup. It's a shame.

  • Backing voices, what I like the most about this version

  • Dolly is there will never and i mean never be another like dolly to come around

  • wow she was so pretty and has an amazing voice!

  • What has being 'devoted' to God got to do with anything.

Singers/Actresses/Actors etc get recording companies whatever there religion is.

& having someone like Dolly in the 'modern' recording studios, because music is changing soo much.

  • @TheSunmanho

    It's a wig..

  • @Struncan

    really? I'm not sure

  • @Nicosprintos LOL

  • isn't it ironic that this southern chick is singing a song invented by slaves?

  • haha
