he is spamming holy light and loosing no mana because he is on a ptr and has crazy mana regen. He is over healing because he is using Val'anyr. its proc absorbs damage based on the heal, not the amount healed for.

We really do not want to kill the old gods. It is just Yogg-Saron we are after. To get to him though, we have to fight the other because Yogg-Saron has corrupted them to be against us. With some of the gods, you do not actually kill them. You beat them down to enough health to give them back their sanity.

Glyph of seal of wisdom reduces the mana cost of a spell, Divine Illumination reduces the mana cost as well. if he then crit heals he gets 60% of BASE mana back. Since he reduced the mana cost and not the base mana, he gets more mana back than that he spent.

I'm seeing alot of these paladin, or any healer for that matter, not use focus macros.

I don't understand why? I have mine setup for Focus on a tank target with a macro that targets the focus casts beacon/SS and goes back to last target which is always the boss for judgement. Then I simply heal the tank using the focus box easily setup for my convenience.

It's not a tank and spank at all. It's the hardest fight in the instance before General Vezax. Raid splits into two groups. The group that stays in the colliseum literally has to take on 100's of elites that spawn very quickly. The problem is you can't just stand there and aoe because new adds come in every few seconds. There's small amounts of aoe involved when safe, but usually you single target the elites down. Thorim usually adds when you still have shit ton's of aoe mobs up and it's a pain.
