I'm loving the music! So my first thought when i saw the title "tss Hollywood karate? I gotta see this one.." but after the video ended i found myself saying, "man I'd love to try it out". Nice dojo, nice atmosphere, a calm, focused, serious and for the look of it a bit traditional school. Sure it's a promo video, I know, but I like it anyway :) Greatings from Sweden, Osu.
adikta18, Wing Chun was Bruce Lee,s original system, make no mistake, he did not get past the first form Siu Nim Tao, but was able to get short cuts, due his his fathers standing with Yip Man, I got all 3 forms and the dummy and lots of Chi Sao, I appreciate the comment,Wing Chun also has takedowns locks, etc, I look at Seido Karate with an open mind and not form the view of others who have studied Chines Boxing, very potent system if I say so myself, deifnitely Kyokushin characteristics

Not all vids show what goes on, there are good martila art schools, I have a background in Tai-Chi and Wing Chun and may be going into Bando soon (with a heart condition) but I am impressed by Seido Karate (AKA kyokushinkai) all martialsystems are good if they have a good base and if they are taught and imaparted to others correctly, how often do you hear this from others with a Chinese Boxing background??? Think then speak

Dojos that allow students at all levels and ages practice the tenets of Budo, which include: Rei- courtesy and respect to everyone, understanding that we all have things to learn and teach; Yu (or Yuki)-Heroism, or allowing students to face their own challenges and take risks to improve themselves, and ultimately the community around them; Gi- rectitude, or right behaviour, in our actions as well as character. In Seido, these tenets of Budo are espoused as well as practiced.
There is a lot of fake nonsense in the martial arts today. This is a prime example. I just hope that they are not advertising this as "Self defense". because it is not.

No self defense value in this style of training. Too much crap on the walls shows that there is no real training going on in this so-called dojo. In a real dojo the walls are empty, kamidana is placed high, because students would knock everything off of them.
Another give a way is too many women and old men. I know that sounds horrible but that is the truth. A woman could never survive in a real dojo.
