  • At my estimation, he was about 83 years old when he performed this .... ######g amazing!

  • @MrPlatypus44 you'll never see a pop artist do this in their 80's because by the time most pop artists turn 20 they're already forgotten... lol. Or dying from drug overdoses.

  • this is agony

  • pirrevirre give him a break..hes 85 now and i would really like to see you play that guitar at hes age.

he is still one of the best rocknroll artists ever!!

  • 5 pessoas preferem escutar Luan Santana ao invés de Chuck Berry

  • The Legend, The Asshole, and The Father of Rock N' Roll. He doesn't get as much credit as he rightly deserves and plays with local bands when he tours. It's sorta sad to se the living legend not treated the proper way the Father of Rock should be. I'm just glad he is recognized as the Father of Rock.

  • eh tiene 83 años impresionante¡¡¡¡¡

  • he isn't playin it wrong hes just playin it slow

  • He's 82 1/2 years old!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • he's old now,he makes a lot of mistakes,but thats the way he's rock

not to forget that chuck berry is the beggining of rock.

  • Love Chuck but i heard he was a Dick

  • @gwstriker14 probably 'cos he's a grumpy old man lol :)

  • ERES DIOOOOS !!!!!! INMORTAL !!!!

  • Chuck Norris Berry

  • What about Chuck Berry bitten by a BUMBLEBEE ?

Watch " XBOX ROCK's Johnny BEE Goode "

    video !!! :-D

  • Amazing to consider after playing this with John Lennon, he would continue 29 plus years beyond that time. Oh and be thankful Yoko is not on this stage!

  • To be fair, as an 80+ year old he would probably start to suffocate if he sang the song at its normal pace.

  • whos chuck berry

  • @TheVideoman2247 D: are you jokin?

  • @Laopaspdi yeah im joking he the fucking king of rock hate to tell ya its not elvis with all due respect.

  • @TheVideoman2247 hahah oh THANK GOD i almost thumbed down your comment haha this guy is the 50's version of Elvis thats what I love about him

  • i dont care that hes 80 hes still a hell of a lot better than lady gaga and justin beiber xD

damn it i bet hell still put a much better show than those two suckers when hes two hundred and twelve =)

  • @chuydelara I don't even think there could be a comparison between Chuck Berry and those 2 :) honestly..

  • OMG... 5 Lady Gaga lovers dislike this video.

  • Less than two weeks i'll be seeing him. Front row center!

  • @jmd612 so you saw him ?:D

  • @DigUrOwnHole Yeah. Best show ever. He high fived me from the stage. And i got an autograph and handshake before the show!

  • @jmd612 lucky guy :D

  • @jmd612 You are one lucky guy and since hes 84 he might be gone soon and you got to see him before that happens :)

  • If ANY of us could sing and play 1/4 as good as this, and at his age? OH MY

    GAWWWWWWWWWWWWD, Chuck, YOU ROCK!~ :) :) A lifetime fan~~~and at

63---that's a long time, but not long enough! (Love the pianist, too!) *hugs*

  • the camera isnt good enough to capture the awesomeness of the pianist and chuck Oh my god even if you're off beat you're still a rock 'n' roll god and you play better than anyone could....... ever

  • @Petrrise

I respect him and his creations. "There still a gunpowder in powder flask"- as we say in Russia. But he looks pitifull.. :(

My grand-grandpa walked till Berlin in WW2, but I didn't asked him to show me how to fight when he was 85.. Do you understang what I mean? Old people should enjoy their respect and rest.

  • Too old.. He's missing the rhythm :_(

  • @lutobor13 he is 85 years old and still performing. if i still can play guitar and sing at[if i live till then] that age half as good as him i'll be thrilled

  • @lutobor13 play and sing this when you are more than 80!

  • @lutobor13 I bet when your are 80 you will sleep in your bed all the time

  • i would give anything to sit down and have a conversation with chuck berry.

  • Chuck perry is the founder of rock and roll Guitar hahah

  • Simply the best!! Great inspiration!!

  • I think Chuck last tuned that guitar in 1959!!!! LoL!!! He having a blast!

  • Oh my god, the pianist is fantastic.

  • LOVE IT

  • imagine playing the same song for over 4 decades without variation!! probably plays it according to his mood...I love it and he's giving others a break. a lot of people over 80 can't remember their names even. He's old but he still got it What he is saying is...."This is the way the song goes today" Every performance is different

  • imagine playing the same song for over 4 decades without variation!! probably plays it according to his mood...I love it and he's giving others a break. a lot of people over 80 can't remember their names even. He's old but he still got it

  • thank you god for Chuck Berry! all hail the firt true showman of rock and roll!!!

  • Damn, Chuck rocks more and better at whatever age he is today than dave matthews and his ilk.

  • did chuck berry have any kids?

  • @blacklight019 legitimate or illegitimate?

  • @captross07 lol even if illegiitmate, entire america is in that boat....

  • @blacklight019 lol I was asking about the kids. He banged a loooot of white girls!

  • he's been playing this song for over 50 years

  • Love it when he asks the to 'turn the keyboard up a little'. Pretty damn good for someone in their 80's. Still rockin' away!

  • wow he still got it...

  • SUPER LE PIANISTE !!!!!!!

  • as of tonight (3/27/10), a night in which he will perform in front of a sold out audience in his hometown, St. Louis MO, Chuck Berry is 83. His birthday is Oct 18

  • I wonder if chuck berry can let me borrow those tapes he recorded of women using the bathroom god this guy is a badass

  • Showw in BRAZIL,, ^^^^^^^ >>> Brazil

  • Chuck musta been very proud to do this.

it shows inspiration that rock and roll is very lively and you can have a lot of fun :D

    Salute to you Chuck

  • That is badass

  • Chuck is a living legend, incredible to perfom at that age. He's the proof: rock music keeps young and healthy ... lol

  • 86 years old¡¡ rockin¡¡ (born in 1923)¡¡

  • wow... that has to be a record....

  • 1926

  • elvis was a great NOOB.

    Go, Chuck, go!

  • Who's the guy playing the piano?

    Man he's awesome!

    Also: CHUUUCK!!!

  • @Muppio The piano player is Scott Ligon who plays many instruments. Look him up! He's currently playing with Terry Adams of NRBQ.

  • Chuck is a real HERO.

    84! ... incredible!

  • UNREAL! He can still bring it at 84! He can still duck-walk too! (I just missed him in St. Loo last summmer...damn!)

  • Well uuh... It awesome that he rocks ftw as 84 but seriously, he sometimes play the guitar in some octaves in the complete wrong places... Idk if its because hes old... but he still Rox! Chuck Berry is my ultimate favorite man!

  • He´s old and he dosent care if he plays wrong...he´s loving it when he rocks and everybody else =)

    long live the king!!!

  • @pirrevirre1000 Surely he cant play his own song wrong?

  • @Arcinite Didn´t mean it like wrong, but he dosent play the tones/chords like he always have done! Well listen to the tones and the one 20years ago

  • @pirrevirre1000 hes not playing it wrong.

He cant play it wrong. he wrote it rofl..

    hes the master!

  • @mycoolgecko only out of tune maybe? at least the latest shows have been partly pain to my ears. Roadie should tune his guitar before gig.

  • @pirrevirre1000 how could the original artist play it "wrong" anyways?

  • @forfunk49 he's played it that many times he's entitled to mix it up

  • Haha the keyboardist jumped to a WHOLE other level when Chuck asked for one more! That's what legends do to you:)

  • Wow after all these years he still sounds great! And I give extra props to the guy on the keyboards! What a beast!

  • Chuck Berry, the king!!!

    Elvis Presley sux !!

  • elvis dont suck and chuck dont suck, you suck !!!

  • elvis presley sux

  • this man is master i would kill an orphan just to see him play...

  • 84 years old, the age of rock'n roll, chuck rocks

  • its amazaing! he is 84 years old now and rock &roll like that!

  • to have Chuck Berry ask for your keyboard to be turned up and for you to play one more.... what more could you want out of life?

  • "One more baby!" They keyboardist just pours it on! Love it!

  • wasn't as good as he used to be but still good for his age

  • I hope i can rock this hard when im his age!

  • @DemonLord133 I hope I can remember how to put my pants on when Im his age, let alone get on stage and Rock.

  • Chuck Berry is the FATHER of

    rock and roll.

  • @MAGALTMALDITABASURA

Little Richard says he's the Architect Of Rock And Roll but that's okay, him and Chuck are buds.

  • Lets not forget the last greats of his era: B.B. King, Fats Domino, Tony Bennet...etc

  • BUDDY HOLLY

  • Respect Chuck Berry!

  • Let's see any one of you rock out at age 83! Chuck exhausts his "kids" when they travel with him because it is one country and one city every night. So much for what age can do to you.

  • wow and I thought it was impressive that the rolling stones and paul mccartney were still playing

  • can you imagine being 82 and still being able to do this. amazing. absolutely amazing. i dont like his version though, i hate when artist change the way we remember it. i saw him 30 years ago and thought he was old then lol

  • That's fair enough, but imagine playing the same song over and over for 30 odd years. You're gonna get tired of it at some point and change the way you play it once in a while, just to keep yourself amused.

  • @backshedblues- 30 years? More like 50 years. Chuck wrote Johnny B Goode in 1958, over 51 years ago.

  • True. I thought 30 years sounded like a long time ago but thinking about it now that would have only been in '79. My mistake.

  • I feel sorry for him.

  • Why...

  • Wow the way he plays it its so diferent from the original. Gess its because hes been playing it for 50 years

    Rock n' roll!

  • all of the live renditions of this from more recent years, he's basically flipped the rhythm of the vocal completely. surely other people have noticed. it's like he starts WAY too late but still ends on the correct cue. still, you cant knock the mofo at 82 years old still doing his thing

  • to right this crazy mo-fo will still be going for a few years yet, look at him he looks old but he has no problem moving around

  • This is called life ...

  • GUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUU!!!!!!

he still playing the guitar and singing so good !!!!!

    OMG !!!!

i don't know another someone of 80 that can do the half that he can !!!

  • BB King :)

  • Chuck berry - still got his style well in his middle 80s now !!-

  • id pay a lot of money to hear the true rock king live CHUCK IS A GOD

  • he is still play as good as he plays 30 years ago lol

  • he's been playing for 50+ years

  • no he doesnt but its still awesome to hear Chuck im 21 and from perth australia i so wanna see him live even if its only for half hour i am learning bass and can play this on bass CHUCK IS AWESOME :)

  • Gods do not die. Rock on forever. :)

  • The man is 83!!

Just hear him play the guitare and still singing quite impressive for a man of that age!!

  • Chuck can still play.

And he sings like he did in the 50's.

  • amazing isnt it!

  • I want to see Chuck the summer of 2010 (in Sweden).

  • Where in Sweden? Gottenburg(Göteborg)? Stockholm?

  • There is no shows for Sweden in 2010 right now, but I hope they work on it! I will go to every town if he comes over here :)

  • They talk Jimi Hendrix this, Stevie Ray that, Eddie Van Halen.

Chuck Berry is all I gotta say.

  • i got endless respect for chuck berry but hendrix is quite obviousley god

  • even though i agree with you on that one. jimi and stevie died. but jimi and stevie ray is an exception since they were alive while chuck berry was still playing. while chuck was still playing live, jimi died. then, while chuck was still live after jimi died, stevie died. eddie? he's still playing eruption and chuck's playing johnny

without chuck, jimi wouldn't be playing the iconic woodstock star spangled banner and stevie wouldn't be stevie.

now forget about eddie, he's still alive though.

  • Honestly yes yes yes id be a little drunk so i would have an awesome time rocking with chuck :)

  • haha man thats mean....but true...and u know what else im tired of hearing? that elvis is the KING OF ROCK AND ROLL. hell no. chuck is. the only reason elvis got famous was cause he copied his music and seeing as how he was white and this was in the 50's, he got famous =/

  • I agree! Chuck Berry is the real King of rock and roll.

  • He defintly is

  • YOU KNOW WHAT I SAY TO ELVIS FANS every time they say he was better then chuck i say well chucks still alive and i can still see him :)

  • Amazing glad hes still with us Chuck rocks!

  • 08/21 I'll be seeing this live...

  • IM 21 live in bon scotts hometown in fremantle australia and would love to hear chuck berry live in 209 or 2010 id be happy with just 30 mintes.

  • hes a legend, we rock musicians owe him a lot.. he started it

  • shit, we owe him everything. and he knows it too.

  • The man is great.

  • 82 years old... still rockin like that, i wish my grampa could do that...

  • He is the best guitarist in rock and roll !!!

  • I will go to a chuck's concert in 08/19 YEAHHHHHHHHHHH

  • eu tambem porraa

  • well chuck if you ever read this come to tampa fl

  • He'd probably say, wow, people are still going to want to hear Johnny B. Goode in 2009? And I'll still be around to play it? Yeah, he's an old man now and probably has arthritis, but I bet he would be happy.

  • wow amazing he is 82 and still playing he is SO good!!! he has been since the 50's!!!!! he is amazing

  • let him life his old dream till he dies, no one gets hurt :) - he gave us so much, so we could give him also a lil bit and stand by his side. he will not make it so much longer :/

  • unfortunately ...

  • He is still rocking that guitar! True King of Rock and Roll!

  • Smoke a little weed now and then like Ol' Chuck, and you too, can live a bit longer.....

  • he should stop now

  • he's really the king of rock and roll because he was the one who made the switch from blues to rock and roll.

The beatles once were asked in TV, "How did you came up with this revolutionary music?", and they said, "We only copied chuck berry". Which makes them honest and honorable.

  • missed him 2 times.

once i had to go to germany 1 day before his concert and second time he should have acted togother with john mayall but he didnt came.

  • Damn i feel sorry for you. Was that trip to germany worth it?

I Wish i could se him live

  • it wasnt :( i had to go to a doctor

  • Too bad that's a bummer man

  • He's not dead yet holy shit what a champ

  • rock n' roll never dies ;)

  • He's 82. Born October 18, 1926. Do your sums ;)

  • Most people 82 years old are druelling in there oatmeal, and Chuck's still rockin. Amazing. Pioneer, Innovator, Legend....Chuck Berry.

    He'll be 83 in October.
