  • this is soo awesome :)

I can't wait to try out in August :D

  • Basses a little rough at the end...

  • The box sucks. This is a good line

  • @jazzycat1 the box doesnt suck dude. they are good at what they do just as this drumline is good at what they do. just because the box is a drumline doesnt mean they have to practice crorps technique. the box is all about funk and groove. which is entertaining and can get the crowd pumped and as well give them something to dance. all hbcu drumlines in the swac do that. remember a real musician not only can play but as well get the crowd involved and keep them entertained.

  • @TheDragonmaster18 No, the box sucks.

  • @jazzycat1 the box doesnt suck dude. they just focus on a different task than these guys. like i said the box is all about entertainment which is what they always do. funk drumlines dont really focus on being clean all the time. main reason being is because they dont have the time to practice being clean.

  • @rhssnare the box is the name of the prairie view a&m university band drumline. you should check out there 2006 feature

  • get out of the way cymbals, i can't see the drums :-(

  • whoop whoop :D

  • i would like to see them battle the box

  • The box is a fucking joke.

  • whats the box?

  • "Oh, and stop being douchebags on the comments. If we cared how your band played, we would look up videos for it on our own." LOL! Go MEAN GREEN!!!!

  • i like the description to the video, i think he just owned everyone there, and that is a great drumline

  • god, this line has really gone down hill... the tom float days, this line kicked ass, untouchable... now its just a huge train wreck, trying to play a lot of illogical meat for sake of playing it... pffft. nothing original or groovy... horrid.

  • Hey Jess, maybe everyone should go to your videos and listen to that deaf & blind woodpecker trying to find his way out of the junkyard. Because that's what your computer generated music sounds like. It's funny, with all of the talent that you credit yourself with, I expected better. Oh, does your mommy still have that soap lying around?

  • yawn, another

    EPIC FAIL!

due to limited intelligence you have used this illogical rather strange comeback line for the 7th time... yawn....

    seek help and psychological medication

  • uhhh. The Green Brigade drumline has never been the more infamous line from North Texas. The Indoor line has. In fact, the indoor program has been one of the most successful for the past 20 years. you'd think somebody with your "talent" and status would know that.

  • "B"- line in the house..

  • I bet the competition for this drumline is so stiff with UNT having such a great music program.

  • does anyone know the Blue Devils?

  • what???????

  • they're a REALLY good drum line.... like the best

  • Never heard of them. Are they new?

  • i don'tthink so.... but they'r like THE best ones in my opinion

  • are you joking?

  • this is the b line rite?

my skools drumline teacher was on the a line

my skool has these same drums custom made

  • foos look like a bunch a bitches

  • Does Mark Ford work with your front ensemble?

  • So many cymbals @_@

Our drumline is pretty small compared to yours.

    2 snares, 2 quints, 2 cymbals, 4 bass.

But we won 2nd place at the Finals, so it's all good.

    Sounds pretty good. :D

    Good luck next season. :3

  • lol, it's only 8 cymbals that's what UA marches... i dont get the 2 people on the end hitting the cymbals with a stick though, that's kinda lame...

  • yeah get the f'fing cymbals out of the way.

  • yeah for paul rennick

  • hey, Nice vid, UNT is very good. I saw them maybe 5 different times this semester. I am a member of the LBJ marching band (our drum major had cancer and we got to go to make an exhibition in the ALAMODOME. Also we won the Lonestar drum comp, maybe you could check it out and subscribe? Vids are on my channel! Thanks!

  • UNT is a corps style drumline. Its not really the style to "Start twirlin'" in this style of drumline

  • yeah they are more of a military style band like my high school.

  • i wanna be there some day, playing snare

  • i will be :) just found out the other day

  • I envy you, haha. I'm a freshman in HS, I still have a while.

  • Put the cym line infront of the snares to hide the dirt NICE lol lol jk....but really unless your vangaurd i could care less about your boring, overbaring cym line....this vid is shit

  • so im on the line at my school and this cadence sounds really familiar, the sound quality makes it a little difficult for me to tell what one it is...does anyone know?

  • lol midget on tenors thats great

  • that bass line is sick i marched w the cadets and these guys could hang w us anyday

  • well...

  • is that a midget on tenors?

  • No im just really short thank you.

  • thing the short one is a girl not being sexist but guys are normally taller

  • I kinda lik the beat!

  • who marks time on a cadence? thats wack

  • You're mom does.

  • an ensemble that wants to stay together...

  • im not saying its a bad thing......

if they were up in the stands playing this they wouldnt be marking time. they would be having fun. lol but sorry forget i said anything its not that big of a deal.

  • my highschool drumline marks time for everything...warm ups and all

  • most drumlines do, but I agree, it looks stupid.

  • i think it looks pretty cool.. especially if u have a huge line.. it makes like a side, to side groove

  • Nice job guys, you get alot of over props here from the JSU Marching Southerners.

  • nice, very nice, if i was able to afford unt and practice a shit ton i'd gladly be in the unt line

  • Hello: I have NOT read any of the insulting comments, and don't choose to This is my alma mater. 1983. When it was still N.T.S.U. Thanks Debra

  • lol lol wow.

  • I played tenors for two years in high school. We had a cadence called 'Satan' that was a crowd favorite. But looking back I really hated my time on drumline, wish we could have had some fun like this video.

Although I've grown accustomed to The Showband of the Southwest for the past 4 years, I can congratulate the UNT drumline for knowing how to rock.

    Denton represent!

  • Nice job!

  • huuuge ass cymbol line O.O

  • he not who lol w/e

  • haha he knows he wouldn't stand a chance at DCI so who just says F u lol.

  • Wow, you're all such sensitive lil bitches aren't you?! Very entertaining. hehehe =)

  • U would never survive traditional Black College drumlines'. Great effort tho.

  • wow you're ignorant.

  • I'm honest, dont try me cuz u can't take the "truth". White people always tryina steal shit and make their own, put a lil twist to it, a bitter twist at that. Ur pressed n very bothered. Back up bitch!!!

  • you ARE ignorant =D

and don't call me white cabron

  • This isn't the same style of drumming, both styles have a place in this world. And if you new anything about drumming in general you would know that North Texas University has more of their alumni drumming professionaly probably that Berkley or Musician's institute. If you want to go to college for drumming this is the first place you should go.

  • they'd get bored to death from how easy the stuff was.

North Texas has arguably the best college drumline in the nation. and i dont see any "Black College" drumlines beating them.

  • OOHHH, you're very bothered, LOL. And the last time Norht Texas was at the Souther classic was when, or Battle of the Bands. Your comopetitions are completely different and cannot compare. You're a damn fool. How many white people have been nominated for a BET award, or NAACP award, NONE!! It's a traditional Black event. Know what you're replying to next time you intend be quit witted.

  • thats cuz they have a totally different style than southern drumlines. if u would have band from the BET compete in DCI they would not stand a chance at all. they're 2 different things!! the south is more concerned with groove and funk and us white ppl (lol) are more concerned with playing really complicated stuff really clean with each other which is why i believe they're harder to play in.

CaviesPWN was right, u are ignorant.

  • hahaha. you're funny.

  • Shows how much class and education you have... good job on the spelling even though tho is spelled THOUGH....

There all different styles of drumming and this is one.. but when you dance around like a god damn moron with your drum on.. honestly everyone laughs at you mr. kaimixedboi....

Once you can play some DCI stuff clean and actually keep up then lets talk, but until then keep being a moron

  • Not concerned with grammar or spelling, Miss everydayurabitch!! This is a comment board, a forum where we can call express our OPINION, if u dont like it u white cunt, FUCK YOU!! White people, yall are sooo sensitive. Get the fuck ova it. hahahahaha

  • Umm, stop being racist. Kthnx.

P.S. And spelling and grammar IS important!

  • Why does it matter when I replied to your comment? I've had enough of you and your comments...you're getting blocked, bitch! :)

  • Just cause you went to a black school doesn't mean affirmative action is going to save the day again and make you believe that substituting visual flare for actual musical talent makes you better than a white man. Black schools take an already destructive culture and force it down your throat to give you the idea that you've actually archived something, while the rest of America sits back and laughs at you while you shake your ass on a football field on the news highlights of that BET bullshit.

  • oh my god your so right

  • lol

  • fuck yea!!!! go UNT!!!!! i hear them practice outside the dorm a lot!

  • GET IT ANT!

  • Drumline is awesome. I'm joining drumline next year, and im gonna play the snare

  • University of North Tennesse? jk, but can someone tell me what college this is?

  • University of North Texas

  • It's not all about chops, and that's whats made lots of drum lines sound very, very similar.

Wow, you can play a triple pataflafla with alternating quarter and triplet note accents, but does it sound good?

    Probably not.

Work on substance more than speed.

  • fuck that work on them both equally

  • The UNT Drumline is awesome!!!!! Great job!!!!

  • Yeah UNT Is known for music..

  • I don't know what the hell that ignorant idiot down there is talking about. But, I rather enjoyed this drumline.

  • cool vid stop moaning about these kids sounds great keep it up :-)

  • what's up with people trying to compare their high school lines with drum corps or even colleges? seriously? play your own exercises and show music, act like a mature player and person in general, and let your own playing ability do the shit-talking for you... i'm not in unt's line or anything, but, seriously, grow up and play your own notes instead of trying to trash talk others, especially when they're probably actually better than you...

  • THANK YOU!! OMG.

  • In case you guys didn't know, UNT's drumline is one of the best (if not the best) "technical" drumlines in the WORLD, university, drumcorps or professional level. They just ain't got no freaking soul. Period!!

Sorry "mean greeners", but you know it's true.

  • ehhh!

  • Hey, try not being an asshole. Thanks!

  • one of the most over rated bands and drumlines of all time

  • Well, aren't you just a sweetheart.

  • this guy probably didnt get accented to this school. lmao

  • no i didnt even bother to apply for this garbage i play at northwestern state university studying with ken green, now thats quality musicianship

  • have you heard there a line?

  • I've heard the Northwestern State drumline and if i were you i wouldn't admit to being a part of that crap.

  • i didnt like the whole song but the peoples formation was awsome, clean and organized

  • wonder if rennick still teaches there?

  • I wonder if any of the old "A" line teachers are there. I did marching band B line in 97 when Bureax was there and Doc was still in charge. lol good times....

  • Paul Rennick? I think so.

  • yeah paul dose teach this drumline

  • no he doesnt he is going to start teaching the marching drumline for the first time in like 9 years. Paul teaches the pasic indoor line. i go to unt.

  • great drumming mike, keep it up!

  • pretty sick line! please check out my snare solo and comment! :P

  • mane....from my perspective..

    this is not kool..

mainly becuase im the hbcu type of guy.lol

  • the cymbals were pretty good... at least what i saw of them!

  • dude theres never enough cymbals

  • have enough cymbols

  • Maybe at YOUR college.

  • you wana hear some good shit go to cu 07 there clean as shit and they fukin grooooooove

  • This is how we do in Texas, right here.

  • good basses

  • That five bass sounded like a six.... maybe its my speakers O.o!

  • It is six.

  • holy mother of soo many cymbal players lol

  • check out this drumline...search:

    Ocean lakes drumline

  • haha...not bad =]

  • my man Adam Ezekiel Scouten "The Rainbow" Lancer is on snare at UNT on a scholarship and no he's not gay.

  • not the cleanest but it's bad video quality so, ya... my brother went to unt in 02 he was a trumoet though

  • Bvilledude its college drumline ass, its not gonna be perfect, people have lives during the fall...unlike summers...

  • dirty as sin

  • i love drummmerrss..lol

  • woooo

    thumbs up cymmbal players

    im a cymbal man too

    we raw

  • Marching cymbAls are awesome

  • You have so many cymbal players

    crazy

  • why do cymbols need to be included ther just annoying

  • I play the snare drum in my school, that is a massive drum line though.

  • that is cool

  • nice outfits, that's what our colorguard wears, yah know, the girls

DR Marching Band- New England Marching Band Champs

  • Whats UNT?

  • university of north texas (it's in Denton, north of Dallas)

  • I tot the T stood 4 Tennessee

  • Probably sounded better when you were there, your camera and youtube didn't do it justice. It's also too bad your football team isn't that good; boomer sooner.

  • small stadium

  • That's quite a bit of cymbols

  • dude i play electric guitar in my high school marching bnd and our cymbal players suck. they always fall asleep and get yelled at.

  • At least you have cymbal players. Back home we have to use the middle school and the high school because we're so small and we have only one cymbal player and we pretty much suck ass.

  • thats true. we are the biggest band in our side of pa so we are decently fortunate. we marched a parade one day and some drumlines had two or three ppl. they attached cymbals to the side of the drums. but i play electric guitar in band and its sweet. i get a bunch of solos. but it sucks cuz i stick out so much that i get yelled at alot. i would rather be on drumline.

  • do you march cymbals or something? it sucks living in texas because most of the bands that my school competes with are like 300 plus people in their band. i mean we have a god 125 or so, but we do pretty well with those guys... we've been told that were alot louder than alot of the bands that are like double our size... volume doesnt really matter to me, were fairly clean (not this early in the season though(we just started school on tuesday))

  • one of the tenor players went to my highschool and he helps out our tenor line

  • Does Lalo still teach? He did a percussion feature for us when I went to Akron, and it was bad ass.

  • My drum line teacher went to this school. :D

  • a cymbal army...awesome

  • That stadium is pretty big. I've marched there at competition before. The UNT drumline is pretty good, but they have been better in the past. One of my good friends from High School played marimba in their pit for two years I believe...

  • i dont think they have marching competitions at fouts field... are you sure it wasnt CH Collins? they have a marching contest there every year...

  • woot thats a lot of cymbals!

  • LOl, that one quad player is really short!

(my highschool oughta let me on if they see this...)

  • hey guess what that was me!!! i was the shortes guy in the line that was my second year marching :) height shouldnt matter, its all in the hands

  • im a tenor player but its a small band and i'm the only one so i am the center im 5'7 and the tallest person on our line. and im a girl

  • what are the 2 guys on the far right of cymbal section playing? i dont know if its my eyes or what, but it doesnt look like their playing cymbals

  • couldn't afford a set for each guy so they just shared the last set...LOL! :-)

  • lol that sucks

  • i totally just made that up, don't act like you didn't believe me

  • ok. lol well what are they doing

  • squib cakes! Woooot.

  • damn, those are the shortest tenor players i have ever seen... im pretty short for a tenor player.. but dang...

  • hi im michael garcia im the shortest guy on the line including pit and cymbals save 1 im 5'4 or so im the guy on the right of the really tall center tenor...

  • whoa.. im like... 5'7 or 5'8 short for tenor players.. lol... our center tenor of 06-07 was like 5'5 when he started out he was like ... 4 foot(exageration)

  • Are you kidding me? you say all SU can do is play easy arrangements? Can you hear well? the piece UNT just played was rolls and 16th notes (and a bar of 32nds) NOTHING AT ALL was CREATIVE about that piece Also, UNT as a band just plays ordinary old pieces unlike SU who plays songs that the people LIKE to hear.

  • All SU plays is rap songs and easy old school songs like Neck and Skin I'm In( those are some VERY easy arrangements.ANd then they don't sound good because all southern can do is blow loud.Face it Southern would never be able to play a piece like that.Southern can't even play rolls clean because they are not good enough to make them sound clean.

  • its not the fact that they arent good enough, its the fact that show bands dont enforce stick heights and fundementals of musicianship. they just bang and blow.

  • I still say you can take the worst person on this line and he/she would be the section leader at SU. unless something has changed in the years since I left UNT,they talent wise should be on an entire different level than SU , not to mention the rehersal and pratice time the UNT guys have to put in over their counterparts.Check out some of the UNT PASIC drumline videos on here and you will see what I am talking about

  • I agree with you on the SU comment. But you are talking about SU as in Southern Univerity of Baton Rouge right? Oh and ive seen UNT Pasic videos already. They are good. Knights of Flamalot... Good Stuff

  • Yes I was refering to Southern
