To add to that, if you don't believe me, watch "An Audience With Celine Dion", unfortunately when she did that show, she did not sing live, the reason for that I am unsure but it is a fact that she did lipsynch during "An Audience With Celine Dion". Pay particular attention when she sings "River Deep, Mountain High" because that's when I found it most obvious that she was lipping. I am well aware that the video sometimes lags to make it slower but I watched it on tv and it was definitely lipped.

the directors of the show didn't pay for the rights of these songs, and Celine can't sing it live, I know, its sad, but is not fault bye Celine. There are many reasons, one is that i say, and others are cause sometimes in some shows the acustic is not good to sing live etc

@BlueSkyMYD Yeah I totally understand however I recently watched the Michael Buble' version of the show and he did not lip. I adore Celine so it is just a little disappointing to see such an amazing performer using playback. However I am aware that sometimes this is their only option. What do you think of this performance, do you think it was lipped? I don't think it was because she's singing it too perfectly and her mouth movements are exactly in time which doesn't happen when she lips.

Me, a huge fan of Celine Dion, however I can admit that at times she does lipsynch. However,I believe that this is not lipsynched. Firstly, her mouth is moving perfectly in time as it should and no one (not even the great Celine) can fake it that good. Secondly, if you listen carefully, you can hear the slight sound of noises in the background, for example there is a slight echo due to the fact that it is in some type of hall.In addition, at times you can hear the microphone noise when she sings

Okay I am so sick of this never ending debate about whether or not she lip synches! Whether or not she lipsynches, everyone can agree that she is incredibly talented. If you don't want to see her lipsynching, don't watch her live performances, just stick to the album versions. You are ruining it for everyone who loves Celine. I know personally that if this whole lipsynching business was never mentioned, I wouldn't think anything of it but now I find myself questioning every performance.

this is a beautiful beautiful song and she poured her heart, soul and UNCOMPARABLE voice into this song, I am certain it is playback but I listen to it every year at Christmas and it is very VERY GOOD, I think this song shows off her vocal prowess as good as any other, better than a lot of her songs, there are low notes, high notes, belts and sustained notes, awesome song for her!! She has an uncomparable chest voice, very pure and powerful

Celine Dion does a beautiful job with this song. However, if you want to hear the BEST version of "Don't Save It All For Christmas Day", please listen to the group Avalon's (original) version. It is awesome!

Disey made every singer sing playback- even the choir in Celine's other performance was singing to a playback track, not live. Disney wants a flawless performance, and do you really think the lobby of the Grand Floridian, which was a backup location bc of the rain, has this good acoustics? No way. So they just equalize it with playback. The artists don't necessarily choose when they sing live or not. She's perfect though :)

someone I know was in the chorus and said they filmed both performances multiple times. So it may be lipped in case her voice messed so they wouldn't have to stop the entire filming process.

You know artists lip sync sometimes because they have to or for another reason. When Celine went on a few shows she lipped her songs but all artists do that at one point. But again Celine has an amazing voice :)

Definitely a lip sync...most likely due to the acoustics in that cavernous lobby. Had it not been raining, I'm sure she would have been in front of the castle and singing live. I've seen Celine many times and trust me, she does not need to lip sync.

celine doesnt lip on tour (ive seen her), every artist does for TV though... and celine doesnt have to prove she can sing!!!!! only problem this was a long time ago so her voice does sound different now, but still... in theroy EVERY artist could be lipsyncing, to a different track than the album, but you cant think of it that way.... p.s.- she is VERY good lipsyncer! looks totally authentic!

I'm not sure nether. She doesn't always lipsynch and when she doesn't, she sounds amazing! After all, she's not who she is today for no reason :S I do know that a lot of shows in europe are expecting singers to lipsynch, but when it comes to american shows I really don't know...
