I think people read to much into if a suicide or death may have taken place in a home or area. It's possible the person had a connection with previous owners of the home or even a home nearby. Anyway these are some pretty good EVPs.

fourman04, Also, what I've noticed is since all the TV shows popped up that there has been an increase of people investigating just because they seen it on TV, now there is a rise of Inhuman and Demonic case's. We went from investigating friendly and mischievous Entities, to until just recently uncommon possibly Demonic case's attaching them selves to People doing what they see on TV and not protecting them selves.

I have noticed that there seems to be an increase in all sorts of paranormal activity. I'm not sure if this is due to an increased awareness that it happens (and is just being noticed more than before) or if it is due to so many people making an effort to communicate.

I am the owner of this lovely haunted house. The original owner of the house moved out after her husband died (at the hospital) of a heart attack, and then rented the house out after that. There was a man who was a renter, he died in a car accident in 1991 on his way home from Florida...There have been no suicides associated with the house. And, of course, my name is Heather.

Hmmm. Do you know someone who is deceased that may have followed you? It sounds like they know you, but maybe they just got to know you. I hope the disturbances aren't too bad and you can get them to move along, although you are calling the house "lovely" so maybe you don't mind them :)

I honestly don't know many dead people. I don't think this was something that was ever "alive," but that's just my theory. There really is not a lot of activity in the house. My kids have seen and heard things, while I have only sensed things.

Oh, and "lovely" was pure sarcasm, lol...Ghosts scare the hell out of me...

I tend to think the same way about backwards EVP, I just don't feel it's something a human spirit would do. But I could be wrong, who know with this stuff. I just know I'm not comfortable with spirits who choose to communicate like this.

EVPClassABC, I agree 100% about that, especially since PsychicSible has a feeling that it was never alive. It could escalate with investigation's do to giving it attention and feeding it.

We really have no way of knowing if this is an isolated event until more research has been done. Many people on message boards, etc, have said that this is something that they have never thought to try. It is quite possible that spirits of all types use this manner quire often and we just haven't been aware of it. This is why a thorough analysis of all audio, past present and future, has to be done for reverse speech being present.

Any sort of connotation with reverse speech being connected to evil spirits or entities is a result of some heavy metal band in the 80s deciding to record a song that could only be heard in reverse. This was around the same time the the religious right had taken to saying said metal band was "satanic". Reverse speech in reality has been associated with the subconcious, nothing more evil than our own true thoughts. Now we just have to figure out (if its common) how this relates to the paranormal.

I read that because EVP is supposedly generated in an attempt to communicate, many reject reverse EVP's because that doesn't demonstrate a desire to be heard i.e. putting it some place most people aren't likely to look. I think this was an AAEVP article. I see some room with precognition if they could have known ahead of time they'd be reversed. But I'm still not comfortable with it, not from 1980's heavy metal, it's the tendency of evil to do things oppositely for effect. Upside down crosses.

Well leaving crosses of any direction aside with reverse speech having been associated with the subconscious through studies of humans it would feasibly apply to the subconscious of spirits as well. This would completely eliminate the factor of having a conscious desire to be heard. The subconscious is far from communicating rationally. Look at our dreams for instance. The subconscious speaks from another level and seems steeped in symbolism and riddles since it is not how our conscious speaks.

Just remember the type of reversals you are referring to occur when reversing regular speech- the sentence says one thing forward, and in reverse can reveal a message to agree or disagree with the forward sentiment or even say something unrelated. With the EVP's I have heard they say nothing forward at all, the words are actually being spoken backwards. I hope you see the difference. Even if you don't, just be careful is all I am trying to get across. It's a yellow flag if not a red one.

Yes, actually the owner of the house is named Heather, and it was her bedroom that the EVPs were captured in. There is still research being done on the property, the previous owner of the house was the original one, and there were no suicides there.
