  • That is not the Peter Principle...

    The Peter Principle states that "people rise to their level of incompetence", meaning you get promoted for doing a good job until you reach a level you are not good at thus no longer get promoted.

    The situation he described is closer to the Dilbert Principle which could be summed up as "leadership is nature's way of removing incompetence from the productive flow".
