Most of that is probably just the result of a short ram intake being installed, which makes the VTEC engagement much more audible, especially if the car is coming towards you (Or is simply close by) when it engages.

It sounds great!

my vtec aint loud at all. it kicks in at 4400 rpm. barely hear it crossover, good thing is i can rev to 10,500

no its actually on a 91 integra. but that motor no longer exist. droped to valves on cylinder 4 on the intake side. thats what reving 10,500 gets you. now im back to the busty ls for now.

y not just keep vtec on at all time. u just have to adjust the pins inside the rocker arms. then it would sound loud all the time.

man, i agree. i have never rev to 5.5k at all, i treat my car like a baby. (95 civic SI @ 80k miles). one day i let my friend take it for a spin and he ran it to 7k... man i never expect a d16z6 to sound soo sexy.

nothing really just an intake.  but u have to have a DOHC motor with vtec cus the SOHC ones u can barely here it.

intake, headers, and intake manifold will make that shit pop. but get some cams too then damn you can really hear that shit
