I messed up once. I was quit for 1.4 years and then hooked up with a woman who was a smoker. Big mistake. I thought I could control it, but I was wrong. I left her six months later (unrelated reasons) and quit again. Lesson learned. I can't "be" with a smoker either. I'm so glad, I'm so relieved, and I am so grateful that I quit again. It wasn't as hard the second time around. What was harder was deciding to quit because I thought I "needed" it.
all those medicine that "help" you quit smoking are nonsense.. if you don't WANT to quit nothing in the world can help you quit smoking.. you have to realize how bad smoking really is and how it's not helping you achieve anything at all.. the "need" for smoking is an illusion and can be delt with very easily.. you have to just man up and stop cheating on yourself. Stopped watching this video as you started talking about "needing" to suffer and feel like hell as part of the process. Absolute balderdash!! I quit a twenty-five year habit (and I smoked weed which I quit at the same time) with no side effects, no cravings, no weight gain, no grieving, nothing except ease and joy at having done it. I did it all with EFT. If you want to know how...put Magnus Tapping Smoking in the search box above. There's no need for giving up to be a miserable experience!
@spacecatmoonbeam : I used some EFT when I quit. I didn't have much use for it when it came to smoking. However, I used to get really bad anxiety and I think EFT helped me out. Where are the videos that you watched? Was it a guy with a red shirt. I watched RObert Gorich for panic attacks, he's pretty good. But I would like to know who you recommend. thanks
@rmed30 Yes, guy with the red shirt. When you said you would smoke but were very much into healthy eating and detoxing etc.. I was so shocked cause I'm like that right now!!! I'm trying to stop smoking.. Cutting down to a few a day is helping but I can't seem to just STOP completely. Thanks for the video!!
On my 8th day of quitting Cold Turkey. I did the same thing. I tried to compensate being overly healthy in some parts of my life while being an addict at the same time.
This is so true, COLD TURKEY is how I quit my addiction to oxycontin, three days of hell. I will never do them again, out of fear. I am having trouble with cigarettes though, I am trying, I will try again. I need to do, not try.
you're great, i've quit smoking aswell and his video is reassuring me that anyone can do it, you just have to grab control of your life. your videos are extremely helpful and you seem like such a lovely person.
Youre right rawradianthealth. You're so right. You did a great job illustrating how disgusting it really is to be completely hooked to something that's killing you. Fuck it I quit. For real this time.
I smoked 2 packs of Camel Filters a day for over 30 years and I just celebrated 3 years without one puff of tobacco. My dad and my grandfather both died of lung cancer. When I hit 50 I knew if I didn't kick that monkey I was going to carry on the tradition of dying from smoking tobacco. It was the hardest thing Ive ever had to do but I did it. Ive been 100% tobacco free for over 3 years !!!!!!!!!!!!

@bsterguitar Ha Ha. I managed to quit again, by smoking herbal cigarettes for a couple of weeks. As they are non-addictive, I was smoking less each day till I just forgot to have any. Have been free a week now. At least I know now that if I ever need a smoke in the future, I can have one that won't get me hooked again!

I like this video but you can't just not be around someone that you like because they smoke. If you hadn't quit and it was your friend. How would you feel if she didn't want to know you anymore because she decided to kick the habit. I disagree with that point but Well done!
I quit, cold turkey, for three years, then took it up again. After a few more years, I quit again(cold turkey), again for only about three years. Have been smoking nearly 2 years again now. I want to quit, but am afraid I'll just take it up again in a few years...what should I do?
Smoking is obviously bad for you. You inhale more than thousands of toxic chemicals into your body, and it is addictive, draining you of the funds and well being with each puff you take. Some persons even die once they take their very first puff! Which is why quitting smoking is often a must...It is hard, but I have discovered a good way to quit smoking. Youtube wont let me post the method here, so I put the link of the internet site on my profile. Enjoy, and stay healthy!

Thank you sooooo much, I quit cold Turkey for 2 months and have been smoking again for 2have weeks, I have smoked for 11 years and I'm turning 20 this month, so I have to stop! The only thing that I didn't do this time was stay away from smokers, I thought I was strong enough to not quit and be around them, but I'm not, this time I will stay away from all smokers! Another this how you described withdrawal fits how I experience it to a tee! You have helped me tremendously!! Take care. -Robbie .M.

I am a smoker of a strong menthol cigarette, I smoke the 100's, about 1 1/2 pack a day & have been smoking for 15years. I am currently on my 6th day of a water fast where I have not been consuming anything except water... EXCEPT I still smoke. I really really wanna quit especially since I'm fasting cause I wanna do it the right way. I don't know what to do without going insane. How long before I won't crave a cigarette when I quit? To me.. to not eat at all is easier than to quit smoking.
@MuddyGunz I SWEAR TO GOD that I have not smoked a cigarette in 3 months & 3 days. I stayed on my water fast for a total of 23 days & not 40 like I actually wanted to. I quit COLD TURKEY! I suffered through the side effects & full effects of withdrawls. I still sometimes want a cigarette but OH NO WAY :) I owe it to water fasting though because if I weren't fasting then I highly doubt that I would had quit. The water fast didn't end up so good but hey... I QUIT SMOKING & that is enough for now!
A large percentage of persons see it truly is really difficult to quit smoking. Stopping will be very difficult, but itýs not improbable. Lots of many people similar to you have stop using tobacco. I'm a vegan (5 years) and while I am not fully raw all the time, I do believe I follow a healthy lifestyle. But I smoke! This video has made me feel so good about myself! I feel bad about being a smoker yet trying to be healthy in every other way. The people around me all make feel like I'm a weirdo for eating healthy foods and then lighting up afterwards. But this video has inspired me. I'm not the only health conscious person who smokes. I'm quitting this month and I'm so excited! Thanks <3
Hey, I agree with you on the whole destroying thing. I can never focus properly without having a cigarette. Then there's the laziness, the not being able to sleep properly, etc. I hate it! I have a quit date for Monday August 16, 2010. It's time to get rid of my bad habit! Congrats on the one year btw!
Smoking is not worth it. You are paying to put toxins in your body, what a waste! I was a heavy smoker till I came upon this miracle cure. Youtube wont let me post the link here but if you really want to know, its in the website on my profile.
i am on day 5 of not smoking and i am using the gum. it seams to be working. i tried to quit cold turkey but i was so angry and unlikable that i had to chew the gum. i didnt even like myself without the gum.
It's been difficult for me to quit because my husband smokes and it's hard trying to motivate him to quit. So how would i be able to quit and be around him while he continues?
I am an ex smoker, and you know when people like us quit. you can't convince smokers to quit by intidmidating or galvanizing them by showing them ads of bad results for smoking. everyone around me insisted that I quit, but i didn't, until i myself was feeling my body worsening. however, if you have babies, then it's different. you might have children, and if you smoke, your children will be covered with nicotine, no matter how much you wash yourselves.
what a load of crap, telling people how to live there life,if they wanna smoke then let them smoke,so what it could kill u.you could wake up tommrow and get hit by a car and die, then this health kick and quit smoking stuff would be for nothing, just cause u get healthy doesnt mean your going to have a longer life than anyone else,i say drink, smoke eat fas food and everything cause u never know u could die anytime soon
I used to feel similarly. It also depends largely on one's lifestyle and their intended life expectancy; if you don't intend to stretch your life out as much as possible, then as you say, there's very little incentive to quit.
It can be very fulfilling and liberating to quit, though. Even if you do end up dying a short time later due to unforeseeable circumstances, I think there's a huge sense of empowerment when you rid yourself of any influence that controls your life in a negative way.
I would def. agree fasting really helps when quiting. i too have tried all sorts of remedies, and i had finally succeeded when i had gone cold turkey, combined with the Master Cleanse. thanks for your wonderful videos, i have been really enjoying you since i've subscribed :D i also love the way you say "Fabulous" you have such a contagious smile...luv ya! <3
@Tamyy1988 Natasha was raw for almost a year before she quit smoking.
Personally I've been raw for 4 months, and now I'm in the quitting stage.
I do however believe you won't get the full rewards from raw food if you're still killing yourself slowly. Please take my word for it, I was raw for 3 months with no smokes, and its FAR FARRRR more rewarding, and you'll feel MUCH better, much more "clean"
Also should be said, don't use raw food as an excuse not to quit. Just advice, Good luck

I suggest a week waterfast to quit any addiction. Also food addictions. It is maybe hard to believe if you didn't do it, but it seems after a few days on water (like 3 or 4) the nervous system gets reset. You don't even crave that chocolate anymore then! I'm not kidding!!
I quit in October! This is the longest I've been without a cigarette in 10 years. I quit cold tukey as well. I've tried to quit many times but this time I dumped my last disgusting ashtray in a glass jar with a lid and put it up in my closet. I decided that when I had a craving I'd take it out to look at it or smell it. The amazing thing is that I never even had to take it out. I only had to think about it's nastiness when I had a craving and it helped me get through it. Strange but true :)
@RawRadiantHealth I'm the total opposite, I love the taste and especially the smell of cigarettes, I believe this is because my mom smoked around me while I was growing up. I quit smoking for almost a year and restarted due to stress, quit again, then restarted from stress again.
I'm working right now on quitting again, and trying to develope a new stress reliever ;) lol
I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU!! Your quit smoking journey sounds exactly on par with mine... i tried everything ... 5months ago ... stopped cold turkey ... still feel like i am adjusting sometimes ... but feel soooooooooooo much better .... thank you thank you thank you ....
So inspiring Natasha, I dont smoke but ive had a sugar addiction all my life as far as i can rememer. The juice fasting is the best thing to cut cravings but i fell back onto sugar addiction again. I think i just need to make a decision and stick with it like I tell my clients. Just what i needed to hear ..thanks Super Woman:)
This is very inspiring, even though I don't smoke. We all have some kind of addiction (sugar, anyone?).
Actually, I'd like to convince one of my friends to quit, but I don't want to offend her. Is it easier to just let the addict choose to change, or will persuading help?
you and I were seperated at birth. Parallel situation to the T. I"m in the health field as well. Been smoking for 20 years. I'ts the monkey on my back. I appreciate you doing this vid. Thank-you so much for going into detail too ; )
come on, i ve done it too, but i was fortunate that i had the book of allen carr. I beg you to read its the greatest book on psycological addictions ever written, the principle can be used on any psycological addiction. smoking has no physical addictions. when i quit i had no physical symthoms at all, it was the easiest thing because of the book, ridiculously easy. READ THE BOOK ITS CHEAP U WONT REGRET IT, EVERYBODY SHOULD READ IT
I've have read it over 5 times and have read all his other editions and books, plus had the audio program. I know many people who successfully quit with it, but for me it didn't help!
No WAY!! I would have NEVER thought you were a smoker!
Great job on a year! I am now at 8 months tomorrow! :D
I smoked for 20 years as well. But here is my take on it. Everyone will be able to quit in their own way. All we can do is share our own experience like you are.
All I did was reduce the amount I smoked From 20 to 5 cigarettes a day. I did that for 3-4 months. Every day I told myself this is just silly and disgusting. Then I set a day and went with using the gum. (cont.)
Since I reduced the amount of cigarettes I smoked I felt that it helped me get through the first 2 weeks A LOT!!!
I used 4mg Nico Gum for 2 weeks then I switched to 2mg for another 2 weeks and that is all I needed. I also created a journal of the experience that helped a TON! I told myself I WILL PREVAIL VICTORIOUS everyday! I did WIN and I do NOT have issues with wanting a cigarette now.
I hope this will inspire people to quit! BTW CONGRATS Natasha on your victory!! :D Great Video!
please, tell me, why did you start smoking ?

@letitsmoke : The same reasons everybody does. Curiosity. Trying to fit in. Peer pressure. Trying to look like a boss. Because people in movies do it. People make a conscous choice to start smoking the first few, but NOBODY chooses to become addicted. You are a non smoker I take it.

@JuicyStacy Look up Allen Carr.
MuddyGunz 1 year ago
@MuddyGunz I SWEAR TO GOD that I have not smoked a cigarette in 3 months & 3 days. I stayed on my water fast for a total of 23 days & not 40 like I actually wanted to. I quit COLD TURKEY! I suffered through the side effects & full effects of withdrawls. I still sometimes want a cigarette but OH NO WAY :) I owe it to water fasting though because if I weren't fasting then I highly doubt that I would had quit. The water fast didn't end up so good but hey... I QUIT SMOKING & that is enough for now!

It's been difficult for me to quit because my husband smokes and it's hard trying to motivate him to quit. So how would i be able to quit and be around him while he continues?
prettythick 1 year ago
@prettythick
I am an ex smoker, and you know when people like us quit. you can't convince smokers to quit by intidmidating or galvanizing them by showing them ads of bad results for smoking. everyone around me insisted that I quit, but i didn't, until i myself was feeling my body worsening. however, if you have babies, then it's different. you might have children, and if you smoke, your children will be covered with nicotine, no matter how much you wash yourselves.

what a load of crap, telling people how to live there life,if they wanna smoke then let them smoke,so what it could kill u.you could wake up tommrow and get hit by a car and die, then this health kick and quit smoking stuff would be for nothing, just cause u get healthy doesnt mean your going to have a longer life than anyone else,i say drink, smoke eat fas food and everything cause u never know u could die anytime soon
markking2006 1 year ago
I used to feel similarly. It also depends largely on one's lifestyle and their intended life expectancy; if you don't intend to stretch your life out as much as possible, then as you say, there's very little incentive to quit.
It can be very fulfilling and liberating to quit, though. Even if you do end up dying a short time later due to unforeseeable circumstances, I think there's a huge sense of empowerment when you rid yourself of any influence that controls your life in a negative way.

@Tamyy1988 Umm...except that it's healthier to cook food than eat it raw??

I would def. agree fasting really helps when quiting. i too have tried all sorts of remedies, and i had finally succeeded when i had gone cold turkey, combined with the Master Cleanse. thanks for your wonderful videos, i have been really enjoying you since i've subscribed :D i also love the way you say "Fabulous" you have such a contagious smile...luv ya! <3
kclord7777 1 year ago

Strange but true :)
wutahoot 2 years ago 5
Yes, whenever i have a craving I also think about the nasty cigarette smell-- I never want to smell like that again!!!
RawRadiantHealth 2 years ago 4
@RawRadiantHealth I'm the total opposite, I love the taste and especially the smell of cigarettes, I believe this is because my mom smoked around me while I was growing up. I quit smoking for almost a year and restarted due to stress, quit again, then restarted from stress again.
I'm working right now on quitting again, and trying to develope a new stress reliever ;) lol

I used to smoke, drink and eat junk food. The raw food changed my life 100%
hillrunner616 2 years ago
This is very inspiring, even though I don't smoke. We all have some kind of addiction (sugar, anyone?).
Actually, I'd like to convince one of my friends to quit, but I don't want to offend her. Is it easier to just let the addict choose to change, or will persuading help?
Psypomp 2 years ago 3
Persuading won't help. You just got to be your friend's friend and support them with whatever they do. That I believe is most important!

come on, i ve done it too, but i was fortunate that i had the book of allen carr. I beg you to read its the greatest book on psycological addictions ever written, the principle can be used on any psycological addiction. smoking has no physical addictions. when i quit i had no physical symthoms at all, it was the easiest thing because of the book, ridiculously easy. READ THE BOOK ITS CHEAP U WONT REGRET IT, EVERYBODY SHOULD READ IT
Mongodelight 2 years ago
I've have read it over 5 times and have read all his other editions and books, plus had the audio program. I know many people who successfully quit with it, but for me it didn't help!

Smoking has no physical addictions? Please site a specific source (pref. that I don't have to buy.) Thanks.

(cont.)
CptUnknown 2 years ago
Since I reduced the amount of cigarettes I smoked I felt that it helped me get through the first 2 weeks A LOT!!!
I used 4mg Nico Gum for 2 weeks then I switched to 2mg for another 2 weeks and that is all I needed. I also created a journal of the experience that helped a TON! I told myself I WILL PREVAIL VICTORIOUS everyday! I did WIN and I do NOT have issues with wanting a cigarette now.
I hope this will inspire people to quit! BTW CONGRATS Natasha on your victory!! :D Great Video!
