Yeah Cedric Benson has ruined for all TX runningbacks. I like Charles' speed and he had a good combine. I agree that we have bigger needs but we have to get Benson some competition, I'm thinking they should address the RB with the first third(thanks for tampering 49ers) round pick.

I read this morning that his rehab is not coming along as quickly as they had hoped. Lovie Smith had lunch with McFadden and Felix Jones yesterday, so I'm sure we're eyeing a RB in the first or second round. I wouldn't mind Mendenhall with 14th pick really.. The first play is vision too. The tackle pulls and it is supposed to be a sprint to the left. Rashard sees all three linebackers read the play and go to his left so he makes his cut up the middle. He also sees the center with a kick out block on the outside linebacker, and has a nice gain.
I see no reason for Dallas to get a back like Mendenhall, They have Barber..now a compliment back like Felix jones would suite more for the Thunder(barber)/Lightning(Jones) combo.

6. Rashard made a pathetic IL offense look good and carried them, basically by himself. Hart carried Michigan at times but it's easy when you have Henne, Long, Manningham, and Arrington around you. Don't give me any Juice Williams/Arrelious Benn BS. They don't compare to the Michigan talent (sorry illinois).
There is one thing Hart has over Mendenhall and that's football security. No one protects the ball like Mike.
Actually there may be another and that could be Hart's "heart" and competiveness, but that's pure speculation, and hardly enough to bump him up to Rashard's level.
I love Mike but I gotta be real. If my team is picking in the draft I'd have Mendenhall as 1st round talent, and Hart as 4th round at best.
they are both great, but i think that harts competitiveness and heart makes me favor him. and i dont think rashard has better hands than mike, maybe the same. but the massive arms on rashard could make it difficult for him to catch at the next level.
and if mike hart wasnt injured half of his career than he would be considered a first rounder. if he went in the draft last year he would have went in the first round, but he had to wait and get injured and lose to OSU again. like i said,we'll see.

I'm not going to argue that Hart doesn't have talent because he does. But the knock on him is that he just isn't fast enough for his size. He'll probably slip by a few folks and end up getting drafted late on the first day or early on the 2nd day. The combine is coming up shortly, so he'll need to run that 40 as fast he can, or else he'll drop sharply IMO. I'd be a bit worried about his ball security though.
first of all, he is one of the best at securing the ball. one fumble in his entire career (i dont know what happened at the florida game but he must have had popcorn or something like that before the game. ) second of all, i dont know if it means anything but at the all-star challenge mike hart beat rashard in every competition. they will both do good in the NFL, but i feel mike will do better.

he is scheduled to visit Denver sometime this week. and knowing the Denver Broncos is they are interested in a RB this early, two things are true the RB is really good like clinton portis and the broncos will prob get him if they are looking at him cause the broncos never look at RB's this early

perhaps Mcfadden might be more spectacular, in my opinion Mendenhall might be the much more important player for his Team... a Workhorse able to break any play into a big gain!

Yeah Cedric Benson has ruined for all TX runningbacks. I like Charles' speed and he had a good combine. I agree that we have bigger needs but we have to get Benson some competition, I'm thinking they should address the RB with the first third(thanks for tampering 49ers) round pick.

haha yeah we'll gladly move up 5 spots anyday. i believe we should take chris williams or jeff otah whoever is there, but i wouldn't mind mendenhall 14th overall. both positions are really deep this year, and we'll have to take the best remaining receiver in the third. i wish we did more in free agency so we wouldn't have to hit on every draft pick, and most likely have them start week 1.

i think hes a great prospect who we could probably land in the 2nd maybe 3rd round..

I read this morning that his rehab is not coming along as quickly as they had hoped. Lovie Smith had lunch with McFadden and Felix Jones yesterday, so I'm sure we're eyeing a RB in the first or second round. I wouldn't mind Mendenhall with 14th pick really.. I don't think Chris Williams or Ryan Clady will be there.. so it'll come down to Jeff Otah or Mendenhall 14th overall and whatever position we think we can fill best in round 2.

The Bears may Draft Him only if Clady and Otah Are Taken, Somehow I Dont Beleive They will Draft Chris Williams From Vanderbilt they Say he Has Short arms which isnt good for a OT, There are OT's In later rounds of the Draft

I don't think Mendenhall is overrated I actually think he's going to be a better pro then Darren McFadden(I'm serious too). With that said I am a huge Bears fan and would be disappointed with that pick because the o-line is horrendous at best. BTW There is no way the Broncos are drafting a runningback in round one.

This man speaks truth. The Lions will draft a cornerback because they have a pathetic defense and the bears will draft an offensive tackle because they have a pathetic offensive line. No reputable draft expert predicts Mendenhall going to the Lions or the Bears, but rather the Cardinals. Feel free to give this a thumbs down because you want Mendenhall to be on your team, but this is what the experts are predicting.

I have actually seen a lot of drafts with mendenhall going to the lions. Lions will not take a corner. With the addition of leigh bodden they have a solid corner duo. and who do you think their running back will be? tatum bell? broncos won't take a running back in the first round. this draft is completely stacked with running backs and they have more pressing needs. get ready to see mendenhall in blue and silver next season

been hooked on him since middle of last year(little late ya lol), saw him while flipping channels on my way out the door and then saw him run. Put my keys in my pocket and sat down to watch the rest of the game(Wisconsin game o course) and then proceeded to find the Illinois schedule online immediately after the game. This guy has the potential to be REAL big in the NFL.

Wisky's defense was a joke last year but even still I think Mendenhall is one hell of a back and the best back in the draft this year by far. Yeah I said it, the best, this kid is way better than Darren McDeadlegs will ever be.

He's going to be a great addition to the Cardinals. And Mendenhall isn't underrated, when it comes to the draft, experts normally pick him or McFadden as top RB.

100% with impress 3, hes fast has some burst through the whole but hes not showing very good vision and hes getting taken down pretty easily on a lot of these runs

The first play is vision too. The tackle pulls and it is supposed to be a sprint to the left. Rashard sees all three linebackers read the play and go to his left so he makes his cut up the middle. He also sees the center with a kick out block on the outside linebacker, and has a nice gain.

I see no reason for Dallas to get a back like Mendenhall, They have Barber..now a compliment back like Felix jones would suite more for the Thunder(barber)/Lightning(Jones) combo.
But Im a seahawks fan and I hope he is available..Knowing that JStew will probably go before..Give me either but this kid is amazing.

It would be awsome, then if we could get Fred davis in the 2nd round would be great. I would only take Davis if Mendenhall was gone before we got our chance. Then get a Stud O-lineman, a WR and finally maybe another RB for the future? You never know if we can find a diamond in the ruff to compliment Mendenhall later in the years ;). If not another QB so Seneca wallace could go more in the offense as a reciever would be awsome!

I think Seattle should draft Mendenhall. Shawn doesn't have the same explosiveness like he used to. Dallas already has a running back in Marion Barber.

well you've got a few things going against you.
1. Rashard is bigger and stronger
2. Rashard is faster and quicker
3. Rashard doesn't have injury problems, Hart does (which leads into my next point)
4. Hart has a ton of miles on those legs. Rashard doesn't
5. Rashard has killer hands. Hart's are good but I don't see a back in the draft with better hands than Mendenhall.

6. Rashard made a pathetic IL offense look good and carried them, basically by himself. Hart carried Michigan at times but it's easy when you have Henne, Long, Manningham, and Arrington around you. Don't give me any Juice Williams/Arrelious Benn BS. They don't compare to the Michigan talent (sorry illinois).
There is one thing Hart has over Mendenhall and that's football security. No one protects the ball like Mike.

Actually there may be another and that could be Hart's "heart" and competiveness, but that's pure speculation, and hardly enough to bump him up to Rashard's level.
I love Mike but I gotta be real. If my team is picking in the draft I'd have Mendenhall as 1st round talent, and Hart as 4th round at best.

they are both great, but i think that harts competitiveness and heart makes me favor him. and i dont think rashard has better hands than mike, maybe the same. but the massive arms on rashard could make it difficult for him to catch at the next level.
and if mike hart wasnt injured half of his career than he would be considered a first rounder. if he went in the draft last year he would have went in the first round, but he had to wait and get injured and lose to OSU again. like i said,we'll see.

I'm not going to argue that Hart doesn't have talent because he does. But the knock on him is that he just isn't fast enough for his size. He'll probably slip by a few folks and end up getting drafted late on the first day or early on the 2nd day. The combine is coming up shortly, so he'll need to run that 40 as fast he can, or else he'll drop sharply IMO. I'd be a bit worried about his ball security though.

first of all, he is one of the best at securing the ball. one fumble in his entire career (i dont know what happened at the florida game but he must have had popcorn or something like that before the game. ) second of all, i dont know if it means anything but at the all-star challenge mike hart beat rashard in every competition. they will both do good in the NFL, but i feel mike will do better.

just because hes 5'9 doesnt meen hes going to be a scat back. hes over 200 pounds so when your that short and weigh that much your usually considered a powerback. not only is he powerful but he is also very agile. but the things i love the most is that he rarely fumbles, and he never gives up on a play.

he can allways get faster. he was faster when he first came to UM. their was something wrong with the old UM training system. and by the way, he is definately capable of bulldozing defenders. he also has amazing balance.
