I just bought a mixed six pack from trader joes. Their regular wheat beer is pretty great. Awesome review, I think I might make a couple videos for their beer also.
I've only tried a few German ones and was well impressed. I definitely prefer dunkels over standard hefe-weizens. Try Franziskaner's version if you can find it.
I tried the TJ's JB Dunkelweizen earlier tonight. Not bad for the price, but you'll love the Franziskaner - and be glad to pay for it! It's a bottle of heaven from Munich.
Six for a six is a great price and that alone pushes the ratings up for me. I'm just not a fan of clove though. BTW, I think you're feeding those birds food that strengthens their vocal cords!

You'll only find it in a 500mL bottle. Otherwise, you'll be getting a keg of it! But I'm drinking it now - great with a lemon!

That beer did bubble up quite a bit but got under control pretty quickly. Maybe it was partly due to "operator error".

Yes, operator error for sure with weissbier. "Aggressive pour" is a good damage-control term! But better than my average weissbier pour :)

good price. you just cant beat a hefe in the spring. but can anyone but the germans really do a weizen better? this looked pretty good though.

I haven't had too many weizen but this one was decent. I do need to try some of the "authentic" German versions of the style.

If you like clove or banana it's good beer. Yeah, the birds are a little loud. I guess I'll have to stop putting the vitamins in their food.
