  • @Melissa05121992 you can monitor through software. no super noticeable latency that i can pick up

  • Jeff sun?

  • Hey buddy! I just ordered that mic! But I want to get a camera so I could start doing cover ect as well! But I don't know what camera's can hook up to a USB mic. I was looking at something cheap and easy to use like the Bloogie 8gb by Sony. But I'm not positive how all this shit works! So I was just wondering if there's anything special a camera needs to hook it up to the AT2020?

  • True fact: In behavioral studies, women report that men with pronounced bass in their voice are perceived as more "authoritative" than men with a higher pitched voice. This might affect any women who write here, as they assume you are more expert than they might have otherwise. And it is goes double for the ehlyberry, who found it "effin' sexy!" She'll believe anything at this point [-)

  • Your unbelievably cool

  • holy asian bass voice

  • I mean, I know some microphones have a 3.5 mm jack slot for plugging in the heaphones, but I think this one doesn't. So, I'm asking you, maybe you have a solution.

  • @jaydreem If you're willing to put up with some latency (short delay between what you say and what you hear), you can monitor through the computer. The AT2020 doesn't have its own onboard headphone jack unfortunately. There's two workarounds to this: You could purchase the Blue Yeti, which is slightly higher quality than the AT2020 and has an onboard headphone jack. Or simply listen to the song through an MP3 player as you record, which'll take an extra minute or so to sync up in your editor.

  • @HarlequinFelis I have looked at Yeti and you are right - it does sound better. I have even seen there is a Pro version of it, 100$ more expensive, probably even better quality. Seems Amazon doesn't ship to where I am (Romania), but I was able to find an online store which delivers the "silver" version of it, not the Pro (the black one), for about 100 euros. However, I am now more interested in the PRO version. I'll look around maybe I can find. Any cons to mention about this microphone?

  • hello Jeff. I have been looking at various usb mikes and this one closes most to what I need. However, I do have one question. If I decide to use it for some songs recordings, say karaoke songs, and I want to monitor my voice and the instrumental version of the song, at the same time, in my headphones, will that be possible? Let's say I want to listen to my voice and way it fits the song while I sing, into the headphones. Will I be able to do that?

  • I'm getting mine friday! The at2020 usb is a great microphone, has a lot of reviews, you can get everything for amazon, for CHEAP, ill be making a review video as well! Everyone should invest their time in the portable recording studio, search it, BETTER RECORDING!

  • @SrCirlot Nope, no latency effects that I can notice! I'm on a MBP summer 2009 model.

  • Hi, I see you monitoring your voice with a headphones (i think) and don´t you have any problem with delay (latency)? i hear to many people say that this micro or the USb sistem have this issue. Some Idea? Thanks.

P.d.Good voice to radio program! ;)

  • @sigida2000 heya, the combination is the nady SSPF-4. I got it from amazon for $30, which includes the shockmount/pop filter. It's a pretty tight fit, but does the job:)

  • Hey where did u get your shock mount from? I been looking everywhere for one to fit this mic.
