I remember I was watch this live on 12 News at work when the guy who was narrating the chase all of a sudden said "OH MY GOD holy shit what was that!?" even the 2 in the studio were in shock and then you could hear him call out for the channel 10 guy and he came back and told him it was channel 3 and 15 he thought.

To people saying this should be a wake up call for safety, there are strict guidelines for clearances of news copters occupying the same airspace. It was simple pilot error, miss-communication or lapse of focus is all it takes. Same as any car crash, except it's higher profile.

Nobody deserves to be involved in a tragedy like this, whether you're a victim or a witness to the event. This was and probably will be the worst thing he's ever personally witnessed in his life. If you have the slightest bit of empathy for other people then you should be upset too. Four people died, that may not seem like a big number but damn these were people! Four families just lost somebody instantly. These were peoples' friends! It's devastating.

To people saying this should be a wake up call for safety, there are strict guidelines for clearances of news copters occupying the same airspace. It was simple pilot error, miss-communication or lapse of focus is all it takes. Same as any car crash, except it's higher profile.
