As cute as teacup puppies maybe, they are simply the runts. It is cruelty to then breed these dogs with the intention of making more runts with serious health problems and very short lifespans. So many people don't seem to understand the real impact of intentionally breeding these small dogs

She's just adorable. I totally understand the crate training, since I raise and show dogs. It's hard for people to understand how the dogs really do like their crates sometimes. My dogs love their crates. I show Schipperkes, but currently have an Italian Greyhound, and a Papillion. Mocha's a cutie!!

I have 3 dogs: doxie, chug, and Yorkie. All males. All housebroken. No wee pads. No rolled up newspapers. They are on a schedule to eat, walk, pee and poop, play in the yard and nap/sleep. To help them, I have bells on the back door. They ring bells to go out or I ring bells when it's time to go.

@Animalloverz1 thx!! i think teacup yorkies are bred smaller. but yorkies in general weigh abt 5-7 lbs. mocha is 5.5 lbs. and shes the smallest i've seen so far. hope it helps!

@thcsgirl The teacup is a lie. Its a buzzword breeders use to sell their runts. Breeding smaller in an already tiny dog is very dangerous. The smaller they go for the weaker and more sickly the dogs are likely to become. Any reputable breeder would tell you the same. A yorkie is a yorkie, there is no teacup. A yorkie doesnt need to be 3lbs to be loveable. Mine is 9lbs and shes still so small and cute and the best dog ever. Be careful and never buy from petshops.

@Animalloverz1 I have had two yorkies both 2-3 lbs after doing my research about the dogs there is no such thing as a "tea cup" it is simply the smaller studs and females having babies "teacup" is a term used so that they can raise prices on the dog. But the smaller the puppy the more health problems. my first yorkie who was 3 pounds 2 oz full grown wouldnt eat dry food leading to teeth prob.s and such they are just more maitenance(:

yeah if they're lined up of course she will pee on them..... it's logic.... what if she isn't surrounded by cardboard boxes and she can walk around in an apartment and she has only one wee pad on the floor, would she pee easily?? HELP MEE!!! I'm trying to train her, she pees everywhere else except on the wee wee pad..

@3333alex , the "Crate method", which is used in this video.... which is also what we ran into when searching online, was pretty helpful!! Later we also built an area with hardwood pieces (we have carpet floor) and put a fence around it. Whenever we put her in that area, we said "pee". Then slowly, she learned the word "pee", now we moved to a new apt and we have a balcony. Everytime i let her go on the balcony and i say pee, she pees, i say poop, she poops.

@3333alex , and unfortunately, yorkies are very stubborn........ she won't go on one wee wee pad unless they realize that is the place to go.............. Mocha does it now since she knows the wee wee pad is for her potty. you can try dipping the wee wee pad with her urine, and let her smell it, let her know that's the place to go. and if there's sente of her pee on it, she'll more likely to keep going on the pad. when she does, reward her.

@3333alex I'm no expert on dogs, but I will tell you how I trained my two dogs. We did have the same problem as you have. Then we started confining them to one room, with two pee pads in the room. They eventually learn where to go. Once they get the hang of that, you can start letting them run loose. That is how mine were trained.......and they always go on the pads now. You might not want to have rugs down though...........mine don't know the difference between rugs and pee pads. Good luck!

@JesusRocks1516 it's the news paper-spank method. I know it's not nice but I asked many people about house breaking and all of them told me that their dogs were housebroken that way..;p hehe Hope it works too..:))

PS, don't judge I have her since mid July, I'm frustrated, I don't want to give her up. :(

:) she's just a toy breed yorkie.

the look of every single yorkie varies though. We were lucky, mocha was the first yorkie shown to us from the breeder, and we just bought her on the spot.

hmm, that is a good idea. Build a lil city pen out of boxes. I have a maltipoo and I am doing my best to train her outside and in a cat box with papers in my room. She hasn't yet to go in the box and still taking some coaxing to get her outside. I usually have to pick her up and walk out with her.

Later we bought a pen from petco, it was expensive.... but she was very good with it. We just lined newspaper in the pen area and leave the little pen door open, she would jumped in there whenever she had to go to bathroom.
