  • omg is that all your hair that is gorgeous i want that for the summer

  • How do you get the volume with your twists, 17 months transitioning and just tried twists, they look so flat.

  • Your hair looks so nice I'm def glade I watched this because my first set of twist I did did not go very well. Thank you

  • thanks for sharing i will be using two strands to start my locs and worried about how they will look until they lock yours look wonderful!! you helped give me courage to try! we ll see

  • @mzjazz712 Thanks Love!

  • Love your twists and your cool, confident style. They look gorgeous, like liitle ringlets and curls, and the volume on them is amazing. Great tips and aideas I wear small twists too, like yours, and they're at my shoulders. I keep them in for a month a time, and I co-wash my hair with the twists in- no problems at all, easy to maintain. They're a long-term favourite protective style, and I have worn them for years........ So it's just lovely to see them on other people. Thanks for sharing!!!!

  • I am so interested in doing this style and want to experiment a little before school starts.

I have a few questions...what's a good oil to use when twisting the hair? I've heard African oil or Jammin works...but I'm not sure since this is my first time. I was also wondering what ya meant by maintenancing it?

  • @nothingbutsuccess Hey! I actually looked up the African Hot 6 oil and decided to not use it. IDK how they can put toxins into oils but they do (it's usually in the "fragrance"). So, I use straight up oils (jojoba, grape seed, avocado). Those are the "lighter" oils. IF you find you need a heavier oil, olive oil and coconut oils are great. To do 2 strand twists u need a moisturizer and an oil to seal. Oils aren't moisturizing. If ur gonna twist the hair, try the kimmaytube leave in recipe. HTH

  • Aww man! Your little girl is like soooooooo beautiful . You are very blessed ;)

  • @ROCKETDEJATULLOCH Thanks Love;o) Yes, definitely blessed.

  • Can I do the 2 strand twist even though I have relaxed hair? I havent had a relaxer in over 3mnths.

  • @ashkatXO I did two strand twists on my transitioning hair. They didn't hold so strong, but they held for a little (you probably can't wash them). I blow dried my hair with cold air so the relaxed hair would "swell". It got puffy, then I put some shea butter or cream on the hair. It was okay.

  • They look great. They remind me of sister locks with how versatile the style is.

  • @Kris0726 When I was wearing them--about 2 people in the mall stopped me to ask me if they were sister locks. They CAN and WILL lock up if you don't take them down in time! LOL

  • I'm LOVING these videos!! I am transitioning bk & I'm abt 3 1/2 months strong. When I was natural 6 yrs ago, I used to only do twists on my hair & it was so easy & low maint.! Only thing I would do is add some gel to tame any fly aways & run some moisturizer from root to tip w/my fingers. I do have a question for any1 willing to answer. What shampoos do you rec. for trans.? My mom used to buy Tresseme or Aphogee for my natural hair. I use Carol's Daughter & Mazani sometimes on my hair now.

  • @CSea07 Thanks Hunny! Yaay! 3.5 months ;o) Have fun with it. Yeah, the twists are so easy and versatile and low maintenance. I love them too. When I was transitioning I just used any products that I bought on sale! Now I like only natural stuff. I'm loving the shea moisture shampoo now (I think it's their moisture shampoo). Tresseme I have only used their conditioner (love their moisture one!) And aphogee--I did use their shampoo when I was transitioning. It was good. Just play around w/ it.

  • @007newnew Thx for reply. I just bought some 100 % natural uncut shea butter for my hair so I'm wonder if that will work. Another YouTuber said to use Hot 6 oil on my hair. I bought it but Idk how I really feel abt it yet. I'm thinking that I may not get good results w/it unless I'm fully natural. Anyway, Do you use gels on your twists? I used to but it weighs the hair & I have to wash it sooner :-/ Thx again for the help :) Love your hair!

  • Can you do a tutorial on the actual twisting?? I have an issue getting my tsists staying in........

  • what do you moisturize with, i want to go natural so im tryin to learn as much as possible and so far love the two strand twist look so much better than locks

  • @tadarsha Hayyy sorry so late! I moisturize with the kimmaytube mixture. I use whatever conditioner I like at the time (but it's always natural--b/c you gonna leave that stuff on your scalp). I like it b/c it stays moisturized for a minute..you probably could use it and not moisturize for 1 1/2 days!. I love the twists! So easy.

  • I Love your twists! They made me subscribe! lol. I love to do these as protective styles but as you were saying. These lead to locing? Like after one week it feels like my hair is locing so I've never left them in any longer than a week? But I'd love to go longer. Also when i moisturizer and wash, they shrink and frizz like crazy.. doing them on dry hair don't seem to matter for me, because once I wash them, they shrink. So i'm going to follow you for tips and inspiration!

  • @godsflame2 Thanks hunny! When I took these down, the only problem I had was the root area that was puffy--they seemed to be knotted. The length and ends of the twists were perfect (they were sooo moisturized b/c I was moisturizing them every day). I'm getting suggestions to braid the roots and then twist the rest. May try that. To kind of un-shrink them after you wash them--do a braid-out on your twists while the hair is mostly dry (of course moisturized).Thanx 4 your message Love!

  • @007newnew Okay..Thanks so much for the tip on doing a braid out on them, very smart!

  • I love your hair.... Thanks for the inspiration. I want to be just like you when I grow up! lol.

  • aaahhh!! I can't wait till my hair grows out some more so I can do my mini chop!!

  • @sking3225 Soon Time! We anxiously await the news! LOL Have a great holiday Love!

  • love your twists :)

  • @KSHANC Thanks Bunny! Have a great holiday weekend!

  • can you do a tutorial of some sort of how you wash and condition your hair in twists?

  • @xmaneeventx I can do that. I'll get together with my camera girl (daughter LOL), and see what we can put together. Thanks Love

  • your hair looks great and those earings are hot

  • @shellz2008212 Thanks Love! Me and T just found this little store in the mall and they have some unique style jewelry there. We were screaming at every earring and every ring. I didn't even get to look at the necklaces. I said I will buy 1 piece bi-weekly to treat myself ;o)

  • Your hair looks gorg ;) why is a tam and where can you get them? I love the style!

  • @chantillyluv Thanks Love! You can probably find the tam at local beauty supply stores or local 99c stores. They cost around $3.00 or so. They're just like crochet type stretchy caps that you wear to capture the back of your hair and leave out the front. They're cute!

  • Where oh where did you find those earrings???? Gorgeous!!!! Thanks for the video, very informative!

  • @ShaykeepJesus1st I found these earrings at this little shop in the mall. I'm going back there today to get my aunt a few pairs because their styles were so unique and eye catching! Thanks Love

  • Ooh girl. . .those are micros to me. .LOL!! But they look beautiful! The styling options are endless!!

  • @MsChanteJ72 Haha ;o) Yeah I know you don't deal with the long styling hours! I know, I gotta be in the mood to do it. Thanks Love

  • If you want the root of your hair tighter, you should think about braiding at the root (for about an inch) then2STing the rest of the way down the hair. The beauty of the braided root is more control. When I do fat twists, I don't bother but with smaller twists, starting with a braid is fabulous. Try it . . . you'll see. Love, love, love the earrings. Hair looks good, too! The longest I've kept twists in is 11 days. LOL.

  • @JazzWife Yeah, I though about doing that when I first started my 5 hours of twisting ;o) Next time. B/C I am getting a little irritated by the matting that is happening at the root area that is now loose. Gotta keep it extra moisturized. 11 days is more than enough to benefit from the style and the low manipulation! Thanks Love!

  • Loved the hair and especially the earrings! I think I will try the two strand twists when I am further along in my transition. The relaxed hair don't stay twisted at all.

  • @nakeasimone13 I did a set of two strand twists during my transition (got a video on here somewhere--one of my first videos ;) But basically I blow dried my hair on cold setting just to swell the relaxed parts so that they would hold. Try it when you're ready. Let me know if it works. Thanks Love

  • cute outfit at the end

  • @prettybrowneyescutie Thanks Love
