MAC Pro Lip Erase Review!

This is one of those products I call a waste of money. I was curious becuase I saw it on the MAC site. A nude lipcolor or concealer and lip primer will work just as well.

you could replace your lip erase by studio sculpt concealer, if you dab that on your lips your lipstick will stay the whole day! no lines, smudges. it even works if you have hard to work lips, haha

you should reall dab it on with your ring finger as opposed to rub, so it gets better coverage and you dont irritate the skin

Thank you for that review and demonstration. I liked that you did a before and after and also put a gloss to show the effect. Now that I see how it adheres like a balm because concealer looks gross on the lips after a while. I am going to buy this next time I'm at the Pro Store. :)

Several companies make a scrub either in balm form or in a pot and usually made of sugar to exfoliate any dryness and chapping. You can make your own even : )

Nice review... thanks :) I want to get this so I can wear a really candy bright pink gloss on top. My pigmented lips right now distort the shade of the gloss... do you think it would work with a bright pink gloss and make it pop on our kind of pigmented lips? Thanks :)

Cheaper option - Max factor pan stick. Pick a colour closest to your skin tone & boom. I do it all the time. :) x

Oh yeah, I do that all the time. But sometimes when I just want to do a quick haul it would be nice to just pick up the phone and make an order and be able to get some pan refills as opposed to pots from the website. I've tried concealer and it does not adhere well to my lips at all..kind of slides off. also wants to combine with your lipgloss to make that mono-glop on your lips.

this would do it :). you can also try a lipstick in a fleshy tone.

I've tried various nudeish lipsticks, they don't seem to hide the colors of my lips very well. I tried the concealer mixed with the gloss trick that someone told me, but it was really drying on my lips. v.v

you can always apply lip blam first. and then using a liquid foundation, apply a dime size amount on your lips :) works like a charm for me ;)

your lips are great, i wished i had lips that full, you don't need the lip erase because it looks like you are wearing a really natural lip liner naturally, I know girls that would DIE for lips your size and color.

I've tried concealer (MAC Studio finish spf 35) and it doesn't adhere to the lips at ALL. This concealer in particular was way too thick for use underneath a gloss..it made that "gloppy" mess I referred to with lipgloss. It looked just unnatural and was very thick.

hmm I have never used a maybelline foundation sadly! The ones I use are MAC mineralize satinfinish and Bare Escentuals in Medium Tan. Since you mentioned you were oily, you may find a powder foundation to be more non-pore clogging than liquids. If you want suggestions let me know :)

currently, i'm using everyday minerals in fairy light. it's the only foundation i have, and it seems to blend into my skin well? lol

i'm so clueless when it comes to foundation...I wish i knew someone who's as makeup intellect as u are :)
