  • Hi Craig, can you provide a recipe for your Amarillo beer? Cheers Mate

  • Been watching for 3yrs now...no plans on quitting...love all your vids, Craigtalk, Craigtube, and Craig's Kitchen...they are the best!! Cant wait to see all your new vids in 2012....Keep it up Craig!!! :) PS..like many others ....I began brewing because of you!!! and I love it!!! :)

  • Craig, I've enjoyed all you've done in 2011 and look forward to this year...Cheers my friend!

  • Great year Craig. The wife and I look forward to everyone of your videos. I even started making some of my own which got my friends involved in home brewing. Love it, look forward to another great year!!!

  • The Coopers DIY kit that I did the video about is perfect and you can brew any beer with it. Even All Grain if you get that far. I recommend it. I believe the banner on my website, about half way down, links strait to the DIY kit, or your local home brew shop might carry it. My website... craigfarraway (dot) com

  • Oops, sorry. Craig, what is the best homebrew kit for beginners? Do you recommend the coopers kit for beginners? Are you able to use other mixes from other companies aka other styles and flavors? Thanks! I'm so glad I found your channel! I can't wait for your response.

  • Happy New Year Craig

  • i always make a turkey curry very nice, all the best.

  • Hi Craig - I've got an APA in the secondary now and am thinking of tossing in some sweet orange peel for a few days before bottling. I know most brewers add the orange peel at the end of the wort boil when they use it for flavoring, but could it be added to the secondary for a sort of "dry hop(peel)"? Other readers feel free to chime in

  • I just did an extract amarillo APA. It's a great beer. I used 1 lb of crystal 40L and 6 lbs of the northern brewer gold malt extract. Then I used 2 total ounces of amarillo. Small amount for bittering and then I started gradually adding the rest at 20 minutes left in the boil. Then I used 1 more ounce of the hops as a dry hop after the fermentation was complete.

The hop is nice and citrusy and floral.

  • I love turkey soup as well. I started smoking turkey a couple of years ago and I didn't realize what a wonderful surprise the smoke added to my soup.. in a word... GREAT

  • Happy New Years Craig! From Florida.

  • Craig glad my package made it over the boarder. Sorry i forgot the letter on my desk i wanted to include in the box. "alls well that ends well" they say. Enjoy the xmas ale and other assorted goodies. Happy holidays and i hope to join you this weekend! Thanks buddy! -Frank

  • hes really getting awesome at what he does, like you had all these cooks in our area that did this type of thing, and you know hes getting there i hope to see him on a cooking show but since its youtube they throw it away. I hate that, I have seen cooking shows with the most annoying guys, put yourself out there again craig you are what we want to see. what else could we ask for beer and cooking, smartest thing ever.better then then cooking with yan.

  • This cast was brought to you by the good people at Coopers. LOL Just joking Craig thanks for a great year. Life would not be as good without you.

  • happy new years and happy brewing, Craig

  • Happy New Years Craig from Maryland!!!

  • Amarillo hops....love them. Compared to other hops, they contain one of the highest amounts of myrcene. Myrcene is one of the many oils in hops that can contribute to outstanding flavor and aroma. Amarillo also is very low in cohumulone (another hop oil), which tends to give hops some harshness or somewhat unpleasant "bite". The combination of these factors results in a hop that bursts with flavor/aroma and not all the jagged unwanted hop characteristics.

  • mmmmmm Turkey & Amarillo Ale. I'm glad you enjoyed them. Cheers!

  • Hahaha, shots of vodka just tend to happen sometimes, lol. Cheers Craig, great vid as always, and I always look forward to your next vid/broadcast, 17 my friend!
