  • nevermind that last comment by me i thought u were someone else

  • hi dANNY remember all those times i got in trouble w/dr KAZUK for talking. lol

  • nvm i found it

    watch?v=dhzCewk3zzg

listen to the early riff and some stuff in the mid, would sound familiar to a trained ear

  • DAVEY GRAHAM... BERT JANSCH, Hmmn -- "She moved through the bazarre"? Hmmn. ALL INTREGUING Imfo. Take Note: Many have wondered why Jm. PAGE should Choose a 1958 Danelectro 6 String )model G-52d) For this selection. See the 3.5" Fingerboard on the wide Neck! We're' wondering,if this was tuned in standard //E,A,D,G,B,E Tuning// or ,perhaps an alternate tuning was used in this Progression?

  • If I'm right, he tunes it to D,A,D,G,A,d

  • there was an oud tune famous in morocco that inspired davy graham to write "she moved through the bizarre" that later became Pages' white summer, i've seen it before on youtube but cant remember the name

    anybody know?

  • Angie by davey Graham.

  • perfect ambiance from J.B.

  • One of my favorite pieces!

  • Jimmy page is an asshole for ripping this song off Bert Jansch and not giving him any credit. He seems to do thing like that alot. But this is damn good. Live sloppyness works for jimmy.

  • Bert Jansch ripped this from a guitarist named Davey Grahamn. Music is literally a cycle of notes and rhythms all combined into one concentrated form.

  • 6:58 is so awesome

  • clapton wasn´t satisfied until he was the leader of the camp, when music was done.after ocean boulevard.and what happened, only wonderful tonight and that´s about it.he is good with phil collins, sting and other raw...

  • you know it's really a shame there isn't more live footage of zeppelin. Every live video i've seen of them in their early years is godlike...haha especially this concert. They were untouchable

  • I'm 14 years old and I gotta say, Led Zeppelin kicks some serious ass. I'm really glad that as the years go by I love Led Zeppelin more and more. 3 years ago I don't thhink I could have listened to this all the way through, and now I can listen through Dazed and Confused live and wish it was even longer.

  • Does anyone know where this was and what year?

  • the year is 1970, but I will have to get back to you on the location

  • Royal albert hall. 1970 like god of the forge said

  • thanx

  • it made me cum

  • no se puede hacer mas lento

  • Possibly my favorite solo(s) ever!

And nowadays, "the shit" is a good thing.

  • HOLY CRAP 6:20-7:20

  • jimmy is out of control

  • is he using a pick & his fingers at the same time? looks like it..

  • hes probably using individual finger picks

  • hes using a pick..

  • nope, never mind, your right.

  • jimmy page is by far the best guitarist that has ever walked the earth.

from his dazed and confused violin bow solos, to going to california, and bron y aur.

led zeppelin will forever be the best band.

  • very well said bro

  • agreed

people say hendrix is the best but page is better

  • He's better than the best! LOL! But still there's no better or best, there is only what you like the most (AKA your favorites) and if you see someone said that Jimi Hendrix is his idol, don't go commenting him that there's better guitarists, there all good! There all unique! There all special! God lives in the guitar, and only the chosen ones can unleash the power from him... But still again guitar might be called the best insturment, for some they would say the piano, etc. Just leave it be.

  • actually you can technically say there is one "best" guitarists by using facts and such. Like i can prove jimmy page is the best. just like how technically its opinions on what video game is better than another, but you can technically use facts and such to prove which one is really better

  • well many facts can prove guitarists better, like Hendrix created a chord and it got named after him, it's on wikipedia, google... and now this chord is used by many guitarists to day... But sill I like to think of them all special...

  • I also belive Page is the better

He is better than Hendrix, Clapton and Beck pit together.

I dont understand why so many people like Hendrix (he great i m not saying he isnt)

Page is the greatest Riff creator, greatest Soloist (stairway, dazedconfused, heartbreaker) and most technically skilled (cello bow playing) guitarist ever

  • ur an idiot

  • yeah page is the better one!

  • I like Page, but calling him the greatest soloist and most technically skilled guitarist ever? That's quite a big claim. It seems like you don't know many guitarists other than the popular rock ones.

  • pretty sure you havnt heard any of eric claptosn work with derek and the dominos... try snake lake blues

  • i have, i can vouch for the fact that jimmy page is the greatest, clapton never could electrcally charge his crowd like page could

  • Hendrix and Page play way different licks and riffs.

And i think it's pretty stupid when people says that one s better than the other one.

Both do whatever they want with their guitars, and both give me orgasms. That's all i care.

  • Your wrong if you think that jimmy page is the best guitarest ever i mean opinion is one thing but as you said you can prove who is the best ever by using facts, then how the fucking hell did you end up with page. He is a rip off artist and plays very sloppy live but, it does work for him. I like jimmy and zep alot but i dont let how much i like the band affect my eye for fact. Jimmy Page Rocks.

  • he was extremely influential and wrote some of the most memorable riffs and solos in history, and his sloppy playing was only due to his drug use. Notice how his playing is far better in early concerts such as this one.

  • Page never set out to be the greatest guitarist. His talents are far more complex, from writing great original tunes, to being an exquisite arranger/producer, to creating a mystical hard rock aura. It was his fans that placed that Crown upon him, no one else.

  • in other ways to say it, the whole world is based on opinions, and there all right... When you're arguing with someone, you have to take in mind, he thinks he's right, but while you think he's wrong... But actually no one can change someone else's opinion, only yourself can do that...

  • I totally agree.

  • Honest to God I hear something completely new when I listen to this. It's like magic. o.0

  • this reminds me of a lot of traditional irish folk songs, like "she moves through the fair". but anyways, this is my all time favorite Led Zeppelin guitar solo, i wish youtube would let you post the whole clip in one vid.

  • its amazing how much if not all of that was improv

  • any1 have tabz?

  • In D tuning and just listen to the music... Because tabs really suck and notescores and using your ear is much better... Remember tabs didn't existed in that time, so why use it, it's an advantage, I would say tabs are for beginners and just to know where to place your hand, but still... It's new and everyone is using it... But mostly beginners, but I'm not calling you a beginner...

  • They didn't exist in that time, but he also wrote it so he knows how to play it. I might as well try to figure it out on my own though since nobody even has tabs. It's in D tuning? thanks!

  • the tuning for it is DADGAD

  • danelectro powa

  • LED ZEPPELIN RULZ MAN

  • Fuck the zoo.

  • truly a magician

  • this guy is amazing!!

you cant not like this, seriously

  • This shows how good of a guitarist Jimmy Page was.

  • OMG!

    I'm so not worty!

  • What are his fingers made of?

  • The powers of good dude, the powers of god :D

  • a little tiny part of god

  • no dude, God is a tiny little part of Page :P

  • classic rock isnt terrible

  • howdo you think it earned the title of Classic?

  • It's a good song, but I really wished it would be remembered, like Classical Gas, Tears in Heaven, Wish You Were Here, but sadly no... But in my opinion I would call it a classic...

  • Jimmy Page is the shit

  • lol @ all the comments on here

    im mad wE

  • u are the shit big mother fucker

  • no dumb mother fuck i meant he is badass because jimmy page truly kickass

  • jimmy page is the shit

  • no hes not hes really good

  • thats what superbadger means by hes the shit

    i think

  • absolutly brilliant

    legand

i know there was a bit of cheeky stuff involving bert janch and black water side but that was amazing LEGAND

  • haha jimmy on a danelectro, playing THAT

theres a reason hes regarded in the ranks of hendix and clapton, and this is it

I dont care how fast vai and malmsteen play, they will never have the same kind of personality and heart in there playing. sorry if you dissagree but thats the truth

  • *high five*

I personally think he is better than Jimi Hendrix!

  • 8:26 - 9.00 sounds like the voice of god!

  • hes got a danelectro!

  • the best at his best.

  • perfectly said

  • this is one of those songs where every time i listen to it i hear something i didn't hear before, i fuckin love that

  • Jimmy is the best improviser ever!

  • Jimmy Page is such a freakin' pimp! Only he could turn a 2 minute instrumental into a 10 minute one, he is amazing.

  • You're so right, its amazing how hes able to make so much.. dimensions with that one song, his improvising is amazing. even though the song existed already, he makes it into something new everytime. hes like hendrix.

  • What a cool instrumental. Even though it isn't exactly an original composition, it still rocks. I mean, what other guitarist in rock at the time ventured past standard tuning?

  • Lou Reed?

  • Billy Graham. A complete rip off. "She moves through the fair"

  • Search "Davey Graham - Folk Britannia" at abot 2:00 minutes.

  • oooh...

Over the hills and far away has got some of this aswell

  • damn this is so beautiful.

    could cry (L)

  • Jimmy takes you all over the world.....

you never know where your next stop will be...

Love the Zep and the aftermath!!!!!

  • i bet he just made the song up right there..haha

  • actually jimmy first recored this with the yardbirds then later with zeppelin

  • that's is davey graham's piece with some added stuff!

  • its true. i know. im a doctor

  • JIMMY PAGE IS GOD.

  • it's so unfair i play guitar all the time and this guy plays a song i can barely mimic without even looking at the damn guitar, gotta love him

  • This is a great song. I bought a dano specifically because of this song. such great tone.

  • one of the greatest tunes from jimmy i could only dream to be as good as him and his originality is awsome led zeppelin will be my most favored bands till the day i die

  • Amazing, fantastic and all the expletives aside, I just think sound-wise this was always a beautiful and powerful tune. Bonzo meshing so well with the flow of this song. Great stuff and just more proof to me in action that Zep was so much more than 'Heavy Metal'. I don't think Zep was 'Heavy Metal' whatsoever, but much heavier even in slow songs than most all other bands at their heaviest. Even "White Summer" is heavy in it's own way. Listen

  • i colud watch jimmy page all day

  • to arrotamiltan, they don't alter the sound when they re-master any of Led Zeppelin's stuff, so it was the distortion at the original concert

  • I bet he was really stoned. Fuck yea Page!!!

  • it just seems to flow once he hits the rythm. its so cool.

  • This is the best sound I've heard in the last ten years.- Blessing for you all. Osvaldo from Chile South ASmerica

  • he is the fucking man !!!!!!

    rock on lads.

  • awesome

  • F##KING Amazing

  • He makes it look so easy...

  • try listening to this on 10 grams of shrooms

youl find yourself in an abyss feeling lost

    but like in a desert

    its stright fucked

and yeah he sure dose make it lok easy

  • The distortion Jimmy used in this concert is excellent.

Did it really sounded like that or they Re-mastered it to do that?

  • no, I think that its original

  • Favorited!!

  • He's playing like a devil!

it;s like if a devil totally possess him

    Amazing!

  • you can hear the emotion in the guitar

  • this is actually a yardbirds song :D

    its great

  • when the drums come in at 7:27 makes all my hairs stand on end.

  • ive played a danelectro just like that one it rocks

  • better than eruption id say

  • great song, man

  • i just keep listening to this song over and over. PAGE-AMONIUM!

  • he is such a fucking genius

  • i got to listen to this song every week it's like crack

  • man, this is freakin' PLATINUM compared to crack!

  • no man it's like diamonds or some expensive stuff

  • true, true, just keep in mind that platinum is pretty damn valuable too, man

  • Lol I love the space pixie expression on his face around the 2 minute mark.

  • The wizard and his apprentice playing together, amazing.

  • hows he remember all the notes!

  • i reckon most of it is improvisation.

  • Yeah Robert says "it changes everyday"

  • HAHAHAHA that is awesome "it changes everyday" thats amazing

  • actually its not there is a version on cd but tiny tiny bit different like 2 notes but its almost note for note

  • its pretty much ALL improvisation

  • da shznit!

  • this song is awesome

  • white strips ha ha ja

  • DADGAD is a fun tuning to play in once you figure it out

  • i know its all about jimmy in this song but bonzo's drumming is great

  • i was just about to say that even though jimmy is great but bonzo puts that little spice in it

  • Indeed. Those drum fills make the whole thing perfect.

  • man i love that guitar

  • im getting one for chhristmas theyre only like £159

  • I own one, great fucking guitar man.

  • really? how much do they cost?

  • wut year wuz this

  • 1970 Royal Albert Hall, DVD 1 of the collection.

  • Its from the "Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1970". So i guess 1970.. :o

  • is this a baritone guitar?

  • No, just tuned to DADGAD

  • no its actually a danelectro baritone guitar its made from masonite the made a reissue of it

  • there not all barritone hes playing a regualr danelectro DC 59

  • i want one of those danelectros but i cant find one anywhere

  • collingswood music, collingswood, nj, where i go to get lessons, they have that model hanging up on the wall.

  • Esta maravillosa canción es casi insuperable, solo por tí, Lourdes, el amor de mi vida. TE QUIERO.

  • the best guitarist ever!! better than wylde, vai, johnson and all those guys that just fiddle about mindlessly....

  • Was Bonham automatically perfect?

  • yes.

  • hell yes

  • Jimmy Page is by far the best guitarist ever. He's so versatile and such an inspiration to my guitar playing.

  • wow dude! from 6:15 on, its like.."ooh jimmy page..dont stop! YEAH! DONT STOP! *orgasm when he hits the lightest note*"

  • Page may have got some of it from Jansch but he made it his own with his style & that amazing DC he put together from a couple of guitars. I think he has 2 of them, he used a different one with the Firm, black but with a smaller pick guard. If Zeppelin ever does tour again I hope he pulls out the Dano one last time.

  • gotta love that 59 dc

  • i wont some of wat he's on

  • WOW...u guys really dont see huh! what kind of fuckin thoughts u think were going to the people in the front row. Shit i would of gave ANYTHING, to be one of them. I see it...MYSELF FADED!!!! RIGHT IN THE FRONT LOL...fuck i wish i was there

By the way 2:44 is where he rips...u could tell by his REACTION hahahah...FUCK THE BEST GUITARIST PLAYER EVER!!! HANDS DOWN...SAID IT WHAT!

  • yea, stevie ray vaughn, jimi hendrix, eddie van halen, randy roads, stevie vie,slash..etc...all great. BUT...not fenominal!!! a deal at the cross roads was made for Jimi Page. #1 for 40+ yrs and counting.

  • 4:06 on is unbelievable.... wow

  • heehee. i get to email him on friday!

  • I think he used an old Marshall Plexi

  • Which amp did he use for this song cos i just bought the guitar.

    anyone know?!

  • wacala

  • tuning is dadgad. try to just sound it out and figure stuff out from the 1st fret to 4th or 5th.

  • What guitar is he using in that song

  • A Danelectro

  • search for "Munir Bashir - Taqsim Rast". i have a feeling that Davey Graham was definitely inspired by that track and subsequently came up with 'she moved thru the bizzare'. similarities between the two are hard to deny.

  • Page is God! He's playing an epic of a guitar piece on a shitty old Danelectro and it still sounds like the gods themselves are playing (which I reminded myself they are, they being Page).

  • Do you really think his Danelectro is crap? He's a multi-millionaire, and just like every other famous guitarists, he doesn't use stock guitars. They are custom made. B.C. Rich is a joke company, but they look cool, so metal guitarists buy custom made guitars from them, and they take time with those guitars. Same deal here. Anyways, I happen to like Danelectro...
