I miss my Brucas. Why do the OTH writers and Mark have to be Pro-Leyton?

Yeah but don't the actors of tv shows have some kind of contract they have to sign that states that if they ever get involved they'll have to leave their personal lives and issues out of the work area and have to comply with what the writers/producers give them? I dno, I always thought that.
Also, they were together in season 3 {Brucas} when they were already divorced {Chad/Sophia}, so what's up with that?
