@TheFindertom yeah! the government wont help, we have to i guess lol. do what ever u can, i tried calling the phone # that motherofthedrum posted, it just rings and rings and rings LOL they probly hid the phone somewhere i dunno lol...cant reach anyone...

@TheFindertom someone should also let people know of the horrible abuse that goes on there and not just there but all first nations communities. 80% of their women or something like that has to suffer abuse that is staggering. they go to police but police dont do anything,in attawapiskat theres no where to go for help. they are told to keep quiet about it because then the community would have to spend more money on programs to help those victims. i feel sick and lose sleep over attawapiskat now.

Never mind. I just put: To Attawapiskat, on the box.i got insurance for if it cant get there. I saw a vídeo someone eles put up on you tube. There was a comment from someone in Algeria. It said: "wow they treat people like this in canada?" Someone replied "yes" its pretty sad. Its really sad. Dont laugh, but i cried everyday for a week after finding out they wernt getting much help. Anyway thanks for ur info and dont give up.

@charlieangus I tried calling them. they're taking monetary donations, but i have a box of stuff here i wanted to send. I'm in Halifax, i asked the Red Cross people if there was anywhere i could drop stuff off....they didn't know and gave me the phone # for the Atlantic region.I called that number and no one answers. Is there any receiving address in Attawapiskat I can send this stuff? I can't find an address or anything online, it is so weird...

I've know of this crises for years i thought the government knew too and were helping i thought that was their job. How come no one..."knew about it" why has only now, someone stood up? Where can i send stuff to Attawapiskat, you have been there, u must know of some address i can send blankets to Attawapiskat.please, i want to help these people. I thought the government was helping thats why i havent sent anything before..but i guess they werent. that money that was sent was problyover 10 years.
