@TrickWithAKnife I call B.S.. I'm 6'2" (190cm). I've lived in Japan for over 15 years and not once have I seen a woman taller than me. She is very tall; especially for her generation (I'm guessing by the hair styles mid-80s). I have all the same problems as she does - banging my head on the door frame, sinks are too low, Japanese cars are too small.

i have a korean friend who's 5'11...back in skl,she used to hate being tall esp cuz her crushes were way shorter than her...damn, i used to be envious of her..she'd grow a few inches every other semester or at least that's what it seemed like. i'd rather be 6 feet tall than 5'4(which is the average height for most women).

@goofygoat2009 -It's hard for models who are 6 foot and above to get work these days especially runway shows where they prefer to have models of the same height range(5'9-5'11). Just because you are 6 foot tall doesn't mean it's easy to become a supermodel much less a model. Looks also count....a pretty girl next door kinda isn't what most designers look for.

@heomak no i don't agree. there are many six foot tall models. she stands out of course but even more so in her own country. if she were to do a runway, it wouldn't be a big deal so her height helps her in the fashion world.

@goofygoat2009 u obviously know nothing about fashion. my cousin works at a modelling agency in NY and she tells me it's not as easy as it seems. Just because you are 6 foot tall or even taller doesn't guarantee you'll get hired for runway or even editorials and campaigns. There's more to modeling than height. You need to be super slim(not skeletal looking) and should be able to fit into sample sizes .
