I don't think I ever had a revolution in ETW but the game is so vast that it can't possibly have scenarios for all possibilities. I'm sure that's why my games sometimes crashed.
Touch wood, my crashes are over. I think I was ahead of the game so to speak. I think the program was not expecting me to be fighting against a certain enemy at a certain time.
you can always ask them to surrender (its the icon of the wee man waving a hankie at the right side of the siege options). a hopeless case like this they usually do see reason and give up without a fight ;)
Maybe there could be a 'Road to Damascus' option where they all suddenly become Christians. Heee hee. I'm sure you are right though. At least I don't have to kill priests in this game. Even better; I don't have to watch my assassins be killed by the priests hahha.
I'm certainly enjoying the NTW let's play.

In Empire total war i had a crash once when i was in revolution.

I think there is no possibility to deal with religious unrest because of the timespan of this game; it's just eight years instead of the 100 in ETW.
