  • is this the us or European version?

  • @360spider06 This is the European version.

  • i hate to say it, but its overrated

  • best multiplayer stage beat em up ever. huge gameplay fun.

  • Wow great memories with this game!! Used to waste days and days with and friend on co op mode

  • ill tear you a new asshole

  • holy shit this game was awesome

  • @FacePaintedClown this game IS awesome i play it now and then and its fking epic

  • @berenbotje1934 you dont have to be an asshole about it.

  • For an snes side scrolling brawler it had a pretty indepth fighting system.

  • I just recently found this game in my garage again...It just brought me back to the times I use to play it when I was like 7-8 years old with my friend,we would always get farther and farther in the game but I think the farthest we got was the train?Well we don't hang out that much anymore because we live so far away and like to do different things now,but it still brings me back, with that in mind I'm going to beat this game with my friends or by myself,I'm gunna go kick some ass.

  • they should turn contra into a movie....but i guess it would end up being a rip off of alien.

  • 1:39 is classic. Boomerangs are dangerous.

  • This was the best Double Dragon game ever made..

  • @gilgamesh777amg Damn right

  • @gilgamesh777amg Yeah bro i agree with you this is the Best Double Dragon. Im going to get my snes out right now and going to kick ass !

  • @gilgamesh777amg It really way for sure!

  • @gilgamesh777amg double dragon advance is better

  • they should turn this into a movi....ohhh...wait...they did. Sorry.

  • It's like Bruce lee the game(not to be confused with the jaguar game)

  • That music is too damn good!

  • All the double dragons never lived up to the original. DD1 was the best in the series by far. These suck shit.

  • Ahhh I remember those days.. When you can uppercut a guy 10ft in the air lol

  • love how the enemies throw out one last DEATH BURP every time.. what a fucking brilliant game!!

  • 2:26 What the hell! A clone!?

  • I never beat this game. I dont think we could gain extra health. Anyway this game really brings me back. This game was awesome. Just wonder if they rereleased or will rerelease the original game.

  • The blocking system alone makes up for the game's general lack of polish. Every beat 'em up should have it.

  • I know how to arm lock the lawyer in the end, just have to be quick when you do it

  • like the game very much i hate how the bad guys use a magnet effect though.

  • man this game is fuck-ass i love it

  • This brings me back to summers spent on the reservation with my Grandmother in rural NC. Me and my cousin would play through Super Double Dragon, Contra 3, Mortal Kombat 2 and Street Fighter 2 countless times. We had nicknames for all the characters, based on the area we grew up in. Just like country boys, lol. Ah, good times.

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW WHEN THIS WILL BE ON THE WII?

  • @0123456what The Wii isn't powerful enough to handle it. Sorry.

  • @Skullomaniaaaa Sorry to bother you. What do you mean it's not powerful enough? Also is there info were what you said is a fact?

  • It's funny how the memories come flooding back. What a great game.

  • This is one of my top 10 snes games. damn this brings back memories.

  • You just punch or kick the boomerang to knock it down so you can use it again. I never found a problem with the game and the music is high quality for any video game :D

  • I remember me and my brother beat this after 10 years later. We ran through all these levels like we about to murder somebody with 2 credits left

  • This game was awesome, but really hard. The attacks you could do didn't do much damage, at all. The rapid face kick or punch should have been able to knock down enemies a little easier.

  • Classic n a half, Missed it highly, so i brought a snes and this game on ebay not long ago and still a brilliant game, just a shame it is so basic in move wize

  • Good news for all Double Dragon fans they are currently remaking Double Dragon 2 The Revenge for XBOX Live. This time it's called Double Dragon 2 Wander of the Dragons.

Now let's just hope they don't fuck it up!!!!

  • @VideoGamePervert it looks like ass

  • @BlackChronosXIII I've seen the gameplay footage and I am very disappointed, they should call it Double Dragon 2: Raping of the Dragons.

  • @VideoGamePervert THey fucked it up.

  • @VideoGamePervert when is it gonna come out!

  • @VideoGamePervert Remaking Double Dragon 2 for the nes? cause that one anus.

  • @VideoGamePervert Guess what....they did!!!!

  • From what I understand, they were supposed to put a lot more into this game, but due to time and budget constraints, this is what we got, not that I'm disappointed.

  • The ability to grab punches and counter...genius!!

  • I love this game straight classic

  • great game, idk if i like this or 'Streets of Rage' better. .

  • @LetsPlayWithKyle1 Tough one.....The original Double Dragon in the arcade was awesome, I used to love it as a kid when I was so small I had to stand up on my toes to play it! But when it came to consoles it never seemed quite the same, the arcade was just better, the hits seemed more brutal, but still I loved it anyway. Double Dragon 1 was the best Dragon, but Streets of Rage 2 may just be the best platform beat em up of all time, and definately the best console beat em up. In my eyes anyway

  • I always played this with my friend. Good Old Memorys

  • I love how when your enemies are stunned they grab their crotches. It's like all strikes inevitably land there.

  • Whoever is playing this is fantastic at it!

  • love the footwork on the dude with the numbchucks

  • I loved playing this game....a few years ago on my computer. Another game I missed out on when I was a kid.

Best controls out of any beat em up I've ever played.

  • @gunswordfist I have to agree 110%!!! Me & one of my childhood friends of 20+ years played this game a couple months back, & it was like playing it for the first time all over again! I still have not seen, to this day, a side scrolling beat-em-up that matches the controls & move list on this game. Clearly ahead of its time.

  • @LarryPiznoTn I got to play this on co-op. Can't imagine how fun that'd be.

  • hello. please could you tell me how do you recorded this game video ? thanks

  • I like the puke/burp/barfing sound effect when you finish off a guy.

  • man too bad they don't have this on wii. this was my game!!!

  • I rented this one weekend back when I was in my teens! I liked DD 2 on Nes for some reason better than this, though. Not to cause any arguments on here...

  • @rang3r34 Me too

  • @johnnyponny4 COOL! Glad you agree!

  • 90s rule

  • Nintendo needs to get this on the virtual console. Game reminds me of middle school.

  • So this is a clone of Streets of Rage which was a Double Dragon clone. Still it looks cool.

  • This was the best one in the series. It had the best move set and the best controls. Loved the block button and being able to counter with that "Van Damme" style multi-kick. The only things missing were the head-butt from part 1 and the ability to punt kick enemies into orbit from part 2. Was Abobo in this game too? I can't remember.

  • STAR on the STAR!

  • Super Double Dragon (SNES)

    Super Off Road (SNES)

  • The Best Beat em up ever, I loved this game Just recently brought a snes again as i thought that was one of my pre loved consoles and boy am i getting this game again soon, wish they made double dragon on ps3 or xbox 360 updated one with loads more moves and a co op campaign with a mate, be the don of all games.

  • no matter how old I get and how much time passes since I played this for the first time back in the 90's, I'll never forget this levels music. "dun dun dun dun, dun dun dun dun..."

  • free download link for the game pls. oh and cool video

  • I recently bought this game from a store outside of my hometown for 6 bucks!

  • Ah... some many memories :)

  • Holy crap I forgot about this game! This was awesome!

  • Thanks for the video!

  • this how video games should still be like..it's not about the graphics but gameplay.I loved my mispent youth.

  • the greatest game ever!

  • This part was much harder then the other ones.. (nes) for me.....gg

  • love the way the other guys get pissed off..they start smashing their heads

  • I'd rather pay 50 for this than some of the shit thats out today, i wish gaming wasn't the cool thing to do anymore, might get some decent games then, not the same bullshit

  • I love that sound track , damn! it's épic.

  • @Bitzy0693 LOL i know.. do u know by any chance where we could download it?!??

  • @TheAeoz Oh man , i wish i could know it LOL

  • 1:40 - 1.43 LOL :D

  • this game blows as hard as anything can blow. you can punch an enemy and instead of him getting stunned he just starts a combo on you. of course every hit YOU take is a stun. and the blocking is rediculous in the later stages. enemies have jobs. one in front and one behind you. the one in front is charged with blocking your every hit so the guy behind you can rape you up the ass. and every single guy takes sooooooooo long to kill. with so many guys to beat they need less health. game blows.

  • This game feels so 80's. I love it.

  • I miss playin this game with a vengence i need to get it again just for no reason than to bring back memories

  • this game rules so hard. is this the euro version btw? it sounds different in pitch than the game I'm used to hearing, also guys seem to die pretty fast.

  • Wow this takes me back. I would love to have a chance to play this game again! Co-op is freaking awesome! Bodies flying everywhere, tons of kung fu weapons and acrobatics. Can't go wrong with this game.

  • Double Dragon II is my favorite, what an incredible game for the NES, but I liked all of the DD beat 'em ups. I wasn't a huge fan of this one when it came out, mostly because the graphics lagged behind brawlers like Final Fight and because it was already the 4th game in the series, I guess I was a little tired of it. It was also on the easy side but now that I play all these years later, I realize that it did have one hell of a fighting system for it's time and is an awesome game.

  • I don't know why it is but this game is by FAR the most fun I ever had with a side scrolling beat em up.

soooo much potential in that fighting system.... even with the bad graphics and music.

  • love this game but can't save :s

  • one of the most epic beat 'em ups ever.

  • Love how the guy pwns himself with the Boomerang at 1:39

  • @AustrianFilmGeek The best is playing coop and tossing the Boomerang off screen, only to have it come back and own your friend.

  • @AustrianFilmGeek I played this game all the time as a kid, and its funny I didn't realize how stupid that actually is. The guy has enough skill to through the Boomerang at an enemy but he can't catch it when it circles back to him. Instead he just stands their and lets it hit him in the face, knocking him on his ass. He must be retarded or something. Think about it, who goes to battle with a Boomerang in the fist place?!?!? I mean it's a Boomerang for Christ sake!! NERF makes those!!!

  • @azane 1. There are more serious kind of boomerangs than the nerf kind.

    2. This game was unfinished. In the Japanese version (still unfinished but more finished than this one) you can actually catch boomerangs.

  • @CirqueDuFreak2000 so could your enemy.

  • haha shitty graphics, shitty music... but at least this sequel kept the comical double dragon style

  • @piratesephiroth How old are you ? i guess you'r born with ps3 ....

  • @letyran62 nah, I'm 29. I played the original game before this crap.

You should try Double Dragon Advance, it's way better than this.

  • @piratesephiroth Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion but this game far excells the original and advance. It basically was an innovation from the orignal which seemed one dimensional due to it being designed to eat quarters and this oen that explores martial arts in full depth and creativity, I think classics deserves to be imortalized but you can't put down a great game like this that actually does well on improving from the orignal, most game companies can't do even that these days.

  • @shoNuuff yeah, the idea of putting the different weapons and block is cool, but it was very poorly executed.

You can simply compare it with older games, like Final Fight or Bare Knuckles/Streets of Rage.

Even been released later, this game evidently loses in graphics, sound and gameplay. Double Dragon failed on the SNES.

  • 100% wrong, I can beat this game without dying ONCE, the controls are near perfect, the graphics are great for its time and the weapons are generally well balanced. the game typically takes away the super powered weapons rapidly (most notably nunchucks, they last for about a screen or two before they're gone due to scene changes). the game forces you to think quickly on your toes AND use your memory in the heat of battle to learn and recall where sub bosses and knife tossers will come in.

  • compared to final fight, streets of rage, or any other beat em up really, this game is miles beyond in terms of actual player skill required to take the challenge on. every other beat em up boils down to a quarter eating single attack button mash fest with little to no technique required, save for basic positioning and range moderation. this game excels far beyond every other beat em up I've played in all regards.

  • @KoolDudester Streets Of Rage 2 has lots of scope for Combo's so I don't know what you're talking about.

Final Fight 1 is limited on Combo's yes, Streets of Rage isn't

  • @KoolDudester Streets of Rage 2 is light years ahead of this in every single aspect.

The best Double Dragon is on the GBA.

  • 52333

  • watch?v=R4FSqtVKR5U&feature=related

  • ohhhhhhhhhh shitttttttttttt, let me press start I wanna join innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • it more fun if used with the snes turbo controller. set it half way it rocks

  • This is one of the best in the double dragon series if not the best. is it my imagination or do some enemies on this look like they were copied form "The Last Dragon"? Oh btw, where did you find this? I want it.

  • Okay no argument that this is one of the best video game level songs ever made!

  • @ 2:02 Van Damme style

  • Yep. That's quite a great move.

  • i used to play this every day for at least 3 years straight, no game can even come close to this

  • @hebosboy if it came close it got fucked up

  • My favorite was getting the knife guy to hit someone else and kill em :)

  • pay attention video game developers, this is how you do a sequel RIGHT!

  • HAEH!

  • Super Double Dragon!!!... i really love this game!... with my brother... fight and fight between us (in the game)... XD ... good times!!!!

  • they need to remake this and bring it to xbox the combos are amazing!

  • great game

  • Ya know, I had to see this again, and I am going to pull this out and record myself playing this very game..lol. Then I am going to hope YouTube do not YANK my audio track ;] .

  • The guy in that black and white picture at the top looks like Guile, lol.

  • use to play this all the time at my uncles i love it thanks for posting was tryna figure out what one it was

  • @Solareffects Watch my channel I extracted the music from Super Double Dragon

  • Billy has them ogg boots! lololol

  • man this game is sofa king awesome

  • has anyone ever beat the whole game without taking ANY damage?

  • 3 persons who disliked this video game are fucking out of their mind!!!!

  • I remember playing this game! This was very fun to play, and of course, i've won the whole game several times. And I would still do it again.. :)

  • This isn't as good as the arcade Double Dragon, but it comes the closest out of any home video game system version of the game.

  • i totally LOVED this game when i was a kid

  • i have this game and it looks so awesome but it's a bit difficult

  • I thought this stage had another music. A better one.

  • This game is the ultimate beat 'em up. the fact that you get to fight Van-Damm and the Terminator makes this game an instant win.

  • @dabos90 What are you talking about??? Van Damme? Terminator? Where are they in the game?

  • @nicomell1 Van Damme is on mission 1, 5:30 into the video. Terminator is on the jungle level, you fight him on the bridge.

  • @nicomell1 he means da guy in da suit is van damme and terminator is da big guy with da glasses in mission 6 in da jungle lol da bosses in this game are funny

  • @reyfuego360 Yea...I understand that. I was taking his words literally...I played the game before and beat it and I didn't remember any of those two characters. But what he had MEANT to say was that there are 2 characters that LOOKED like Van-Damme and Arnold Swartz/Terminator...I remember now... lol

  • this is too sick!!

  • So damn awesome, don't we all love Double Dragon.

  • omggggg i miss this gameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee so much lol i used to play that when i was 4 or 5

  • this game is 1000000x better than final fight

  • @pyslie way harder too

  • @Balaban78 doesn't really matter if its harder or easier, it has much more moves and its overally better.

  • This classic of a game was a hard game, but it was worth it. So much ass whooping integrated into one game. I like how they add more enemies for the 2 player mode. That just means that there will be even more ownage!!!! I love this game.

  • Wow, When I was a kid, I just spammed kick and I beat the whole game. Didn't understand english at the time either. lol. Good times.

  • man I wish My copy of this still worked I would be playing this game right now, one of the best 2P games of all time!!

  • Man, was this EVER classic...2D FOREVER!!

  • ahhh the memories !

2p mode was awesome back in the day

  • I played this game. Boy was it tough but I beat it.

  • things I didn't like about this game (or Return of DD, which I own, the more complete version, only missing the ending text): no vs. mode, small characters, and you can't pick up the swords. for a long time it was one of my least favorite of the official series, but it's grown on me, to the point where I'd play this over any version of DD3

  • hear that sound.....so fucking funky!!

  • Good lord, this brings back memories. I remember when I was like 6 and I would play this with my dad like every day. I really wanna play this again now that I'm actually good at games. :)

  • i haven't played that game since i was 11

  • I wish I knew how many countless fucking hours my cousin and I spent playing this game. We had it down to a science where we knew exactly what to do. I'd kill to have some of those nights back.

  • this game kicks butt it reminds of me of streets of rage for the genesis.

The rivalry of the NES & SEGA Master System, SNES, SEGA Mega Drive (GENESIS), Turbo Graphics 16, and NEO GEO is like the Playstation vs XBOX

  • yay this is the beat lol

  • My favourite game...

  • I just counted the floors while using the elevator. its about 100 i guess. and how is it possible that the elevators are sometimes faster and then slower???? :-)

  • Boy, I wish they made beat em up games like this. I mean, it wouldnt hurt.

  • @Superapeaholic i feel you, games now are to complicated lol

  • @moneystacka86 sometimes, but I often have just the opposite experience... too many "open ended" games with little real purpose other than messing around... or games where a button press triggers a tone of scripted stuff. I guess in terms of being longer or having more buttons, that's true. but fighting games were always simple and are best when that's what they are (not throwing in stupid puzzles or other distractions)

  • @Superapeaholic yeah on virtual console at least or made directly for wii 360 ps3 in 3d

  • this wuz the best double dragon ever made i remember when i wuz a kid i used 2 finsh the game everyday this game is fucking fun 2 bad my snes doesn't work

  • Man i gotta buy me a SNES

  • this look so gay

  • @jasmine8827 This real gaming, not that bullshit Halo 3, you prolly wasn't even born when this came out.

  • @jasmine8827 yo daddy iz gay.

  • wow i remember this snes rock dawg

  • I wonder if Wiiware is going to get any more DD releases?

I know they have the original DD, but I'm really hoping for some of the later titles.
