Its like we say "thing" over here in the UK when we forget the name of whatever it is, for example you forget the word for keys and you say "hand me that thing" instead, but in Ireland they say yolk instead of thing so they would say "hand me that yolk" and as you know the yellow inside of an egg is called a yolk.
