Peter Cook did an American sitcom for two years in the early 80s. I guess that's the thing he "didn't really want to do."

Peter certainly mellowed as he got older and was less cruel and jealous of Dudley's success. He became a genuinely nice person and less imposing and spiteful towards the end of his life.

There will never be another Peter Cook or Dudley Moore....unfortunately

Thanks for posting this rare piece. Peter looks so bloated here he's barely recognizable. When was it filmed? I'm guessing around 1992? Cook was a genius and his insecurity is palpable in this clip.

@TheKenfig Yes, the early interviews are from the early 70's but the later interviews are from the late 1980's or early 1990's I think.
