It's not the listeners' fault, the ones who like those crappy music just simply never heard of music like this. It's the record labels' fault, they choose the ones who they wanted to get popular, they can. Why? Money.

You can make Bieber lunch boxes and backpacks, but you can't make Arcade Fire lunch boxes. That's the first of the many reasons, merchandising. There's a lot more, but the point is that most of the ones that are marketable are crappy.
