  • I've seen Beck perform this song in many different ways and i respect him for often reinterpreting his songs...but this live version of "Nobodys Fault" is. awesome. One of the best I've seen.

  • wow

  • Ok, this is definitely from HBO's "Reverb" season 3. This performance was taped at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, CA on May 8th, 1999. Although I didnt post this video, I do have the complete episode on VHS. Hope this helps answer some questions!

  • i think this might've been from HBO's music show called "Reverb" from the late 90's.

  • WOW just WOW

  • This is Becks best song played live I ever seen.

  • Too bad he couldn't get Ravi Shankar to play sitar, now that would have been amazing !!!

  • Wow!! - that was --- very cool.....hunh. I never really listened to Beck before - my big mistake (nobody's fault but my own!!)

    thnx!!

  • Amazing, the sitar and sarod really add a whole different dimension.Wicked!!!

  • whoa....this is the best version of my favorite beck song.... :)

  • wish I could hear this for the first time again

    amazing lyrics, beautiful song

  • @julsxc Thats what I'm taliking about. 1st time I heard it my wife came back to our room on some trip years ago, dog-tired. Turned on the tube to Austin City Limits and he was playing this. I wept. I knew it it was one of those songs you are meant to hear. Shes gone now

  • incredible

  • This is the best live version of this song that I can find. I LOVE it. One of Beck's best songs for sure.

  • amaaaaaaaaaazing :)

  • ☺

  • I posted 3 months ago that i cryied like a baby watching this video...AND IT STILL HAPPENS!! FREAKING AMAZING MAN!

  • increible

  • This version's amazing! What year is this?

  • 2006

  • no, it's not 2006. 2006 is when this was uploaded. This version is prolly from before midnite vultures was released (or right after it). Because it's a mutations song but his hairstyle is not the one he had on the midnite vultures tour. So it's prolly 1998 or early 1999

  • Very good, thanks man. yeah, it's usually a good idea to go by his hair style

  • I just can't get tired of listening to this amazing version. It takes me away and brings me back crying like a baby

  • Beck is the real-fucking-deal! Brilliant!

  • I'm 49 and i drive a garbage truck, and beck is okay with me!

  • hahaha

  • word up

  • I'm 48 and you can call me full blown bat sh*t crazy for all I care. This guy is a genius.

  • I'm 49 and Beck is a breath of fresh air to me.

Great stuff. Do I need to see a shrink?

  • maybe one of the best songs ever.

  • this was just incredibly amazing! the ambient to it is indescriptible

  • Such a beautiful song and a stunning rendition.

  • I always thought the Harmonium was invented in Germany. Guess I was wrong about that. It is used for a variety of musical styles in India, including Hindu and Muslim religious music. There are even Classical Hindustani musicians who play the harmonium. It can be a very sweet sounding instrument.

  • Beautiful song. sitars rule.

  • Turn off the lights, hang your head. So beautiful a sentiment and so beautiful a song

  • nearly 10 years

  • awesome - beautiful song

  • Beautifull song. Think about all of the bad s#it that has happened to you. Was it the cops? Was it your girl? Or were you just f#kcking up like me...

  • totally, just as bitter too..

  • Achingly poetic. just like the last 3 hours of a trip

  • What happenned to the "Nobody's Foult But My Own" video from MTV2 that was on youtube? It's no longer there. It was much better quality and beck was playing the weird box instrument.

  • its not a weird instrument . its indian instrument called harmonium which exists for more than 3000 years

  • How may other mainstream artists have you seen playing one? Exactly. It's weird. And cool.

  • the instrument is mainstream in india. not worldwide i agree.

  • I wouldn't consider beck to be mainstream.

    just well known

  • The harmonium is a French instrument. I argued that is was Indian with someone and was proven wrong.

  • yup, well it was invented in paris, but wasnt used much there . then it was heavily used on qawallis in india.

  • the world is a much better place with Beck in it.

  • I remember when this song came out, it was right when JFK Jr. died, and I thought how much this song kind of reflected my sadness then... that "Camelot" was now truly dead. It also mirrored the fact that it was his fault, and his only that he was now gone. I'll never hear it again without thinking of him and his father.

  • This song is f*cking amazing.

  • probably his best album, though the pink album was equally creative and haunting

  • Pink Album? Sea Change?

  • "Mutations" is the album.

Maybe hisbest work. If you like this song listen to "We Live Again" and "Static".

  • I'd drink to that! ;-)

  • brilliant guitar, brilliant lyrics, brilliant guy ill never forget him

  • Beck is very talented. Not very many artists are as diverse as him.

  • great song

  • ah.

  • Never heard this song before. It's cool.

  • I absolutely agree. Astounding song. I admire him greatly.

  • gives me goosebumps everytime i hear this, simply amazing song from a natural born genious
