The R32 is Nissans most famous Skyline. Won the most races and even was given the nickname Godzilla. The R33 didnt do aswell in racing, partially due to added weight. The R34 had even more weight compared to the R33 however it did very well in racing. The R35 in my opinion is a failure. It weighs too much and the R34 is still superior in handling and speed. Exactly how I thought it would pan out. Are the three old boys restricted to around what the GTR 35 produces? I've seen R33/34s around the 800-1200Bhp range. I understand that the mapping isn't out for the R35 yet and can't get anywhere above 600-700Bhp so I assume they've all been set around 500-600Bhp with torque bands at similar RPM bands.

@lamazver The AWD will depend on several things. ATTESA reduces front torque in hard cornering, so the car will be more tail-happy. Also, if the ATTESA clutches are worn (with the R32 being the oldest car there) then he won't get proper front torque.

I would agree that the Sky's are modified. Looking at the launches I'd guess somewhere around 500+HP coming from them. The R33 and R34 are smokin' fast.

@lamazver Could be any number of reasons - It could be simply that the owner the car wouldn't let him rev it too hard.

Maybe it has a stroker kit with a reduced redline. Since he's short-shifting on the straights, I don't think it has to do with turbo boost or wheelspin. On t he corners, maybe yes, but not on the straights.

My guess is he was short-shifting for mechanical reasons - looking after the car, or if the owner wouldn't let him redline it. That's all I can think of.

I base this on the drivers surprise when it let out the first time, as well as not using the big single to it's full potential. (You can hear it's a single turbo with the exhaust note, all 3 other cars were twin turbo) Since singles are all up in the top end, that car definitely had some more in it, he was short-shifting.

Eitherway, it's still an awesome clip, the R32 looks the best :D

Come on ... GTR32, 33, and 34 are legendary sports cars. But they were NEVER considered as "Super Cars". GTR35 is a different breed. It is now the fastest and the best super car Japanese auto industry ever created. A lot of kids here will try to argue on this comment. Do your research if you can't believe it.

@metraus yea any car will go fast if u throw enough money at it but every car has its limits.. theres a reason alot of ppl modify turbo jap cars. its cos they r fairly cheap, easy to mod and pull power from, good handling and just built well overall. im also a fan of the toyota supra and im thinkin of buyin one with fairly high hp and still keep my r33
