To be ablse to move over many different grenres and sounds is a trademark for a good musician...James Iha was a backbone in The Pumpkins..always in the shadow of Mr Corgan...but vnever less important when it comes to their Specific sound. Recruited to the live-set lone -up in APC also bear witness that he's widely resapected. This solo album also prove that he truly is a fantastic songwriter with a surprisingly good voice. Evertthing performed with astonishing economy. Respect, Mr Iha.
Honestly, I think that is a great question. My thought is that James wanted to pass along the emotions that we women have when we are completely vulnerable. We do not want to be hurt and he's caressing that part of women. We all want to know that the next man will not hurt us like the last...
I don't understand why this album did not sell at all. I've been waiting for him to cut another album since then... its been a long wait... really long
eversince i was in highschool i listen to smashing pumpkins. My friend back then bought a copy of james iha's solo album. I liked it. My bestfriend and i listen to it intently as if absorbed with every lyrics. There's something about his songs that makes my mood nostalgic, sounds corny but i feel the purity of it, genuine and not over-rated.
There is no Smashing Pumpkins without James. BIlly never appreciated James. I love you James. You are so beautiful.
