entertaining. Now and then I hit things just right in the spring and it's astounding how many animals are on the road.

i live in colorado too, my favorite snake is the bull snake, but i cant ever find any, do you have any suggestions?

getting kind of late in the yr now. dirt roads in the late afternoon is best suggestion. out in eastern colorado

Try the state parks that have resevoires. They are all over. Once may rolls around you can start finding them crawling around during the day. Like Rob said, dirt roads seem to produce them a lot.

Sweet! But i suggest for every herp you find putting them on the side off the road...just in case

depends on what part of the country you live in. we've spent hours herping in CO, so we kind of know where/when to look.
