I think it's a bit harsh to compare the very unreliable Disco 3 to the latest iteration. I'm still looking for some hard data on the LR4, but sites like jdpower only still have data regarding vehicles with an average of 4 years - the LR4 came out in 2009.

Thanks very much for the post tmanutd82. We know Land Rover's can be cantakerous, and we probably should make mention of reliability, not just for them, but for everything we video review... we're in the process of tweaking our review template so this is great feedback. Keep it coming.

It's just unprofessional to not address that reliability issues. Consult any reliability survey (JD Power for example) and Land Rover is consistently at the lower end. Or ask previous owners, such as myself, and they'll tell you that while Land Rover's customer service is excellent - we only know that because we watch our vehicles be towed back to the dealer every 7,500km (at best). That's not to say they aren't great cars, they are, but if you need reliability, just buy a Toyota.

@tmanutd82 which I presume would be important off road as if you break down in the middle of no where getting out and getting something done I would think be harder

Oh and be sure to tell buyers NOT to get the under-body wet, dirty or drive off road as they will most likely then have to replace a park brake at a cost of around $2000
