it's sad that some of you just don't get it...mccain doesn't want our troops in iraq for 100 years, he said there's a chance that troops would be stationed there just like they are stationed all over the world, they would not actually be fighting a war for a 100 years! i know people that are in iraq right now and they and their families are all for mccain
obama knows what he is doing just because he hasnt been in washington as long simply means he hasent been corrupted by it as long thank you barrack for trying to help us come together not as black or white or latino or asian but as americans united we stand divided we fall wether its a group of friends a family a football team or ofcourse a country.
Obama has experience, but not a lot of experience in Congress. I think he has good common sense.
As for showing respect for the military, Obama supports Webb's new GI Bill, McCain does not. Obama promises to bring the tropps home from Iraq, McCain wants them there for 100 years. Obama promises not to deploy troops unless national security is at stake. He opposed the stupid war in Iraq. That, to me, shows respect and support for the military.
Oh yeah, McCain is full of corruption experience and lobby experience. Will be great to have a president with all that experience. For all the people who think the US is the number one (more military power) please go to see some of the ranking about quality of live, happiness. The countrys with better index of happiness are the countrys who are resolving:
Educational problems
Health care Problems
Security Problems
More equal society in therm of wealth distribution.
All "experience" seems to mean anymore is that of knowing how to pander to those with the most money and play the same games they've been playing for decades. Were our founding fathers all old men when this country came to be? No?
Funny, that. I think American needs to get out of its "all the fogies know best" mindset. They're just passing off their problems to /my/ generation, and I'm fed up with it. Let's get some new blood in there.
Like Obama said recently; everyone has their own problems, own issues. You can gracefully acknowledge that they feel that way, without agreeing with them... If your preacher says things you disagree with, you realize that it is his own opinion... Please don't try to dig up things to belittle Obama. He probably didn't realize how his preacher's ranting would reflect on himself.. the sad truth is that lots of folks probably agree with Wright.. that's one of the many the things we need to work on
Experience? Like Bush's administration? They had decades upon decades of experience in that administration, and look what they've done to this country. Obama will win the White House, despite all these despicable right wing lies and swiftboat techniques. In November lets say good bye to the criminal enterprise known as the Republican party.
define experience. no candidate running has any decent experience when it comes to foreign policy, bush had no experience at all and look what he did to the country. lol
in politics, you want someone honest, not necessarily experienced. in america, being more experienced in politics mean you're a better liar, more experienced at corruption in most cases
mccain and clinton are jokes, as for obama, time will tell
soldierswife65 - how about some examples of how "Obama doesn't hold true to all he says and doesnt do all he says he has either", instead of just a blanket assertion. I can name many such examples about McCain, such as immigration reform, the trillion dollar give-away to the wealthiest 1% (which he voted against twice before running for president), his lie about having lobbyists in his campaign, his support of veterans' benefits... should I go on? Talk about a flip-flopper!
Have you thought about what McCain will do if elected? No politician is perfect, and the future is uncertain, but Obama has a better chance of helping us out of this mess. Two things make up for his relative lack of experience:
1) He is more grounded and rational than McCain, despite his age-look at McCain's reversals as well
2) Many top Dems with chances to be on the admin. really know their stuff-Webb, Clark, Biden, etc.
With McCain we get the same crooks behind the scenes as we have now.
Experience is waht got us in this mess. We've seen the results of EXPERIENCE - it's more money under the table to sit down, shut up and do as you're told.
It's the special interests that are ruining this free society - who BETTER than a Constitutional attorney to become a Constitutional Presedent?
Our current group of fools in the government have forgotten that sacred of all documents!
It is this document that makes us free and is all of the EXPERIENCE Obama needs!
I would say that Obama gets my vote. He has stood tall to Bill and Hillary. Bush and McCain and Fox News negative campaign. This is how I know that we have the right man running. The estb. dems and repugs are trying to swift boat him. Barack keep fighting. Don't let us down.
After swiftboarding of Kerry & knowing Bush will campaign 4McCain, I think it's ok 2 call McCain "flip flop" on tax & lobby issue. They're trying 2 paint Obama as big liberal; weak on security, & 4 big gov't & spending- it's not working! That describes Republicans! They smeared Kerry, call Kennedy names, railroaded Gore, they weaseled themselves into WH & look @ mess they made! McCain has nothing 2 run on; he even looks sick. He shud just pack it up & say 2 Obama, please fix this mess 4 America!
McCain appears to have totally lost all sense of who he used to be and what he used to believe in... because the only way to WIN is to court the Christian right. He has to, essentially, parrot GW Bush to get anywhere with these imbeciles to hold onto the republican party with any assuredness at all.
I wonder if that "old McCain" is still in there, but lets others call the shots...
I'd say we'd had enough of a president who says one thing and thinks another. That's called lying.
Obama's only warming up and already McCain is on the ropes.
There is nothing like big corporations making billions while we get leeched at the pump to make you want to elect a candidate who rejects lobbyists!
Nothing like an administration that tortures in secret prisons, starts unnecessary wars, destroys our economy, destroys our image, failes in New Orleans, creates a $10 TRILLION debt, fails to catch bin laden, etc, to make us want change!
Go Barack! Don't forget to mention John McBush argued that Iran's President Ahmadedajad has ALL the power in Iraq! For him to be so ignorant to not know the Ayatolla's in Iran have all the power, then he shouldn't even be allowed to run for President. Just like his flip-flop on Tax cuts, Immigration and not knowing the difference between Sunni & Shiite extremists and Al'Qaida terrorists. I mean there are hundreds of YouTube videos showing the true colors of John McSame!
I like how the people seem confused in the audience. They clap, yell, and boo at odd places. Its like they are jumping the gun on obamas comments, they need to just wait until he is done speaking so they can figure out how to respond as they clearly dont know the issues.
Lovie Smith & Tony Dungee were the 1st black coaches to coach a team in the superbowl. Tony Dungee the 1st black coach to win a superbowl. Obama will be our 1st black president. Us black folk are making history everyday.
I used to live in Tampa, and I can tell you that part of Florida is as red as it can be. It is very refreshing to see an arena full of people listening to Obama in Florida...It gives me hope for my home state....GO OBAMA!!
McCain used to be so respectable. Back in February I was still deciding between him and Obama, but then he changed his stance on tax cuts, torture, etc. and ponied up to the hardcore conservatives. What a shame...
How do we stop terrorist and high gas prices? Elect Obam so he can talk to those other countries who we buy oil & gas from and they would gladly help and lower the cost for our statesman. Terrorist won't see us as a bully, arrogant or a threat when they see the positive image we have in a great world Leader and President. Barack the vote!
Obama is right. I liked the old McCain too. I even considered voting for him back then. I can't believe he has change so many things that I liked about him.
Canada believes In Senator Obama as well.
We wish you victory in November.
I hope you enjoy the tribute poem that we have recorded for the Senator. The Color of Hope Obama
Thank you

McCain has decades and decades of experience, but has accomplished nothing except flip flop on his own beliefs and pander for votes.
