if u get the new macbook pro wich i have u should get the 13 inch macbook pro and when u first start it up u can have the option to transport every thing form your mac book to your macook pro its called the time machine and thats wat i did and the macbook pro is really cool
Can't wait to get the new Unibody Macbook Pro 2.4 with 2GB of RAM (Will be upgrading to 4 for 40 dollars). Not to mention I only paid 1600 dollars for a brand new one. Compared to the 1600 dollar original Unibody Macbook, I am getting a kickass deal!! Anyways, I always do this when I buy stuff off the internet. As soon as I place the order, I start looking at vids that only make waiting HARDER.
True, I got a MBP in sept. 07 and I bought a black MB right before the new ones came out. I take the MacBook to school with me and use the Pro as a desktop! It works out for me
with the port problem your having, just get a mighty mouse that is wireless because it is bluetooth so you wont have to stretch a cable all the way from the left to right.
a few things. some people dont like the mighty mouse, it is uncomfortable. my $20 logitech is 200% better. the mighty mouse is expensive. $70! also, it doesnt need to be mighty mouse, you can find a wireless for $10.
i too have the new macbook, but, i think it scratches too easily, and i hate the new minidisplay port! its going to be $50 to get an adapter, and i dont even know if it will work with my moniter yet, because it only uses digital signals.
otherwise, it is the best laptop you can buy, except of course the pro version....
Definately a great computer but the aluminum's are wayy more scratch resistant than the plastic ones... i just sold my white MB for a new aluminum and cant wait.. because that whitey god scuffed sooo easy. even just dust granules.
The only thing I'm worried about the aluminum is how easily/hard it can be to get fingerprints/dirt off the laptop. There was only ONE case on Youtube where the guy was like the laptop is easy to get dirty, and hard to get rid of the dirt. Obviously, this sounds like a whole lot of bullshit but it is something to consider. I might actually go out and buy the Invisible-Shield by Zagg just in case.
yea sounds good.. i think u will be pleasently surprised. if youve had a plastic bodied mac you will find the aluminum absolutely amazing.. even with velour clothes sometimes the plastic macs scratch because plastic isn't very hard. ive had my aluminum for a month and it already has stayed cleaner. the screen is still a pain to keep flawless.. but overall you will love the aluminum.. an invis-shield is a good idea too. but dont buy a keyboard cover.. heat is disspiated through the keyboard.
Thanks for the reply. I'm still worried about using the InvisibleSHIELD, I heard that your laptop has to be FLAWLESS before applying the coating or else it will look like crap after a few weeks.
i understand that it is very troblesome to carry a macbook pro when you are travaling but might i suggest that you get a haverscak bag which fit the macbook pro i do not own a macbook or a macbook pro or any mac yet but i have use a macbook pro at the store i carry a 15 inch windows laptop when i go overseas just for watching movie's and keeping in touch with my friends and surf the net it my laptop way heavy tha na macbook pro and when i carry it in a haversack it weights nothing
i don't like cold laptops on my lap. slightly warm or even hot is good for me since i put my hands on the bottom of my laptop cuz they're always freezing.
I don't know if this is true, but while I was at the Apple Store, I realized that they turned the A/C on uncomfortably high. However, there was this time when I was there that the A/C was broken. The whole place was stinky, hot, smelly, and filled with burning Macs. That could be one reason for the heat, and also that they're not using flash or something that induces heat from the mac.
nive video , weren't you impressed with the screen of the new macbook pro ? cos the old one is not great , they seem like the one in the macbook air, and there are really amazing .

get the new macbook then
same performance as old MBP
daniel75o 2 years ago
Why don't you use 2 laptops then? Like you said that on the plane the MB is better but there is situations where the MBP would be better.
Just because you get a new computer doesn't mean you have to stop using your last one.

I just barely bought my MacBook White myself. So I'm in no hurry to get the new model yet.
Pinwormx 3 years ago
the screen is now one whole piece, so now it's thinner but if you damage it the entire screen needs to be replaced.
rashad123us 3 years ago
I wish it was aluminum instead of being all black!
EliteSoldier112 3 years ago
I prefer the black actually, it was one of the main reasons why I bought the unibody Macbook Pro
rashad123us 3 years ago
Yea same here, I mean look at the Macbook Pro 17" with the Anti Glare Screen.
EliteSoldier112 2 years ago
I think that only the old 17inch Macbook Pro had USB ports on either side. The 15inch has stayed the same I think.
