@lovetheNorml Actually, the small stones entered the pipe during repair of the basement. I don't know how the stones got into the pipe, but it happened while a french drain was being installed along the perimeter of the basement. I had to have them flushed out at considerable expense.
why did you inspect this pipe because it kept backing up or because some one buyer/ seller wanted it?
that should of been snaked and flushed the first time ..
those were small stones ..where were they coming from roof...

@triboman Did you fit the french drain?
I'm just thinking, if you're 100% sure they came from the installation, perhaps you could reclaim the cleaning costs from the installer.
