the holy spirit is simply an idea. that is all. it is fiction. to say it is true is simply making a claim. it's a mental sugar pill. it's a placebo effect that anything good is percieved from it. why? because it being the ultimate enigma, human mentality naturally roots this idea to be the base of reason/power. praying therefore is concentration to oneself. any good effects seen are simply from having putting enough heart into something.

the holy spirit is simply an idea. that is all. it is fiction. to say it is true is simply making a claim. it's a mental sugar pill. it's a placebo effect that anything good is percieved from it. why? because it being the ultimate enigma, human mentality naturally roots this idea to be the base of reason/power. praying therefore is concentration to oneself. any good effects seen are simply from having putting enough heart into something.

what's the 'experience' then? emotions are from sensory input > thoughts > brain chemicals. the only reason you feel any happiness or whatever by believing in the holy spirit is because you've told yourself to by making any justification necessary to attribute to criteria that fits your version of the holy spirit. if there's no observable form of miracle going on, it's in your head. god is a concept that's easily made the root of the psyche if one fails at or doesn't attempt critical thought.

nice swift avoidance of my previous post. neway that's not evidence of god at all. even if it is, why would god help cure those who happen to not believe yet leave many times more still disabled, which would include those who do believe? belief is obviously irrelevant. no amount of prayer alone without the aid of medical therapy and general willpower can account for any real healing.

The fact that you don't just shows that there is something else other then this. Here is something else that will really boggle your mind. How did we really get here? If it was the "Big Bang Theory" then how did that start? And notice that when ask or talk to people about it they will always call it a theory. Because they connot prove it.

No, the fact that I don't know doesn't 'show' anything as far as proof of god. Especially seeing as I'm not the most knowledgeable person on earth. Replacing the unknown with god prevents one from wanting to learn further. Is it any wonder to you why theism tries to demonize questioning and promotes obedience? If it didn't, it would die off. Why would a god give us brains to reason his existence away and punish us for it?

it's about as enlightening as a stephen king novel, if not less. the problem with the bible is that it is written by multiple authors. naturally, there's going to be contradiction. you have all kinds of psychopathic evil on one hand, and on the other you have other self-evident philosophy...simple stuff that can be reasoned by man by himself. you pick and choose what to listen and what to not. it mixes truth with bullshit, but mostly bullshit.

That is no proof at all. Something that you don't understand about the Bible is that you can't just take a phrase in the bible and compare it with another part of the of a different phrase. You have to read the entire passage for the understanding of what it says.

I provided a plentiful resource to not only find loads of contradiction but many other ridiculous garbage. It's even nice enough to talk about the good stuff. The bad stuff is not taken out of context whatsoever. You just make up your own excuses for it. According to the books, god is not a moderate. You should be an imposing fundie and follow the bible if you believe in it, or realize it's bs and go your own path even if it coincides with the few rational portions of the bible.

That was well done brothers and sisters. Although I do believe that non-believer needs to connect with the Creator before you suggest that they accept a pentecostal type of religious holy spirit.
