Totally agree with that. The only problem is: ZUN is japanese. Which mean that for all the peoples who don't speak japanese miss a lot of fan contents.

It's not like you bought a touhou games for dialogues, but the fancreations are nearly all in japansese, and it sucks.

The circle group that sell touhou games are shanghai alice team. Touhou games are not sold in stores (duh) and can only be purchased by tables at Comiket (コミケ) (But I told you where you can download them so no problem here =D)

2 of these game which are not shooters but a fighting style game similar to street fighters was created by ZUN and a collaboration of another company.

What is ToHo? is it a pervy game?

Many ppl get the idea that touhou, at first glance is

1. cute(萌え)/pervy/doujin/sim game

or

2. an anime (I see this alot)

when actually touhou or porperly known as　"touhou project" is a series of shooting games (not FPS but similar to thoes games where you play at arcades; you control a plane and you move vertically upwards, shooting enemys and gathering power-ups and fight a boss at the end)

Specifically the flash movies by ニコニコ (refer to 0:47) sparked the interest of many touhou fans, but this lead to many ppls misunderstanding to what touhou really is.

Since almost all the characters in touhou are female, its not hard to understand why they want to make movies/fanart though.

ZUN himself created the games on his own (this includes graphics/system/music). The games are most praised for its music.
