  • By far THE BEST McCartney song ever written. Beats the hell out of that hack bubblegum Beatles crap. The fab what-for.

  • My vote for the worst Paul McCartney song is "We All Stand Together", I also could never stand "Let Em In" and "Ebony and Ivory", I actually liked "Another Day" and "Say Say Say"

  • One of the Greatist movies ever made. You have to love Neighbors and any thing than Dan Akroyd is a part of. Chevy Chase is great too.

  • They DEMANDED it. An SAS response to "permanently fucked cabbage colonials brainwashed into wannabe thinking they're all martial artist Superchicnk spooks" and it's difficult when they challenge me, I break bits off, and they remember the bits belinging to the wrong people.

Yet they are the ones who start it, from seomething resembling a highschool bunker.

  • Saw a guy in higschool once, went INSANE because he got a 99% on a test. Started freaking out, smashing shit upt. This has been kinda like 17 years of "let me rearticle my student body" resulting in the same spaz at the point of "no... I beg you.. please...you don't understadn... my father....my father paid you EXgf a lot of money...."

    LOL

    That didn't work either.

  • Was that the valid"threat to the President" from 2000?

So it was a joke, just a 17 year long chemical experimentation animal clinical trial "joke" then?

I'm going to be KILLING you for it, that's all.

  • Scariest thing I've ever seen. Someone buying "you must have been adopted".

    Poor JenGland...

  • Pauly here overslept a bit again.

    It's 2011, dude...

  • I think you' d better go back on your meds, Yaren, till you feel better about having a superior forcing you onto them.

    Oh, it's "Public record".

  • YO penut beat that thang!!!

  • This video also shows an "Emulator III" keyboard that is really an "Emulator II+" - according to Paul Wiffen, he noticed someone discovered the white tape (what was used for naming the channels on the mixing console with a chinagraph) was almost the same width as the I's in the legend "Emulator II" on the back panel. It was irresistable, so this Emulator II became the "Emulator III." McCartney thought it was a joke. It of course caused a decline in Emulator II sales.

  • John Landis recently admitted the only reason he agreed to put this song in the movie was because he felt bad after having a phone conversation with McCartney who was over the moon about it saying it was the best thing he felt he'd written since John died. After that Landis couldn't bare to nix what he actually thought was a dreadful song.

  • Same to you, microencephalitis.

  • @TheFiresteel Stfu cunthole.

  • if you want to get right to the music go to 0:48

  • One of his weakest TBH, but still shows his voice is decent.

    and 0:55 <3

  • Dan Akroyd=Douche Chills. What a Lameass Fuck.

  • Spies Like Us is such an EPIC movie xD

  • how come you never hear this song on the AM/FM radio stations considering this song was a Top 10 hit during its release?

  • @Doobie1975

Because it's the worst Paul McCartney song ever?

  • @NeilFraudstrong No way man, Just Another Day was his worst!!

  • @Will090681

Ebony and Ivory was pretty bad too.

  • @NeilFraudstrong I agree with you on that!

  • @NeilFraudstrong Say Say Say was too!!

  • John landis isncorrect this song does suck.

  • What I like about this song is it gives me that "no matter how bad things can get something good always comes out of it" vibe and it also makes me feel goofy

  • @microcephalec Says the guy who thinks Elvis is alive and McCartney is dead...

  • No, sorry, all the video is funny ! Hahahaha :D

  • Abbey Road Studios ! *__*

Here, Paul is so funny ! ^^

  • Q. Who is the odd one out? Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Elvis Presley.

    A. Elvis Presley - The other three are dead.

  • @microcephalec Paul McCartney is alive and well!! WTF???

  • @BRH4711 Paul McCartney was killed in a car crash on 9th November 1966 and was replaced by a lookalike.

  • @microcephalec I think your information is running together. Paul McCartney did not die in a car crash. Maybe you should get your facts straight before you go displaying it on public things like this. Also, I do believe Elvis Presley is dead. He had a heart attack right?

  • @BRH4711 Obviously you have not watched the film Cranberry Sauce. It's on You Tube. Look it up, you complete and utter prick.

  • @microcephalec Oh what lovely language. Do you talk to your mother like that? I would never talk to you like that. I don't even know you. But anyway, do you believe everything you hear on the television or the papers? I don't. So just because Paul McCartney decided to spend sometime with his family doesn't mean he's dead. And you didn't answer my question, isn't Elvis Presley dead? I think so!! Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix are dead. Congratulations, you got something right...

  • @BRH4711 Tard

  • @BRH4711 Tard

  • @TheFiresteel What the crap?? Teaming up now??? Obviously you to don't get out much... There have been many things proving the Paul is Dead rumor is NOT true... Now Tell me TheFiresteel? (stupid name) Why are you calling me a 'Tard'? I said nothing to you...

  • @BRH4711 Tard

  • @TheFiresteel Again. Alright. You're not that funny. And again I said NOTHING to you... Fucking Idiot.

  • Great song.

  • Well, what a sloppy clumsy mess we've got here. Ah well, at least Paul still brought us Say Say Say in this decade. This is definitely a black mark on his record, though.

The thing about a lot of fun or goofy songs, is that most of them are pretty polished, to get a crisp sense of humor and wit. This however just sounds like it staggered out of the studio, and it's barely trying to keep its lunch in.

Ah well, at least it looks like they had fun in the video.

  • i can never find guitar tab for this song

  • Paul is playing drums right handed ......

  • @jsbruzina but he is crossing the abbey road in shoes! hmmmmmmm

  • @jsbruzina but he is crossing the abbey road in shoes! hmmmmmm

  • Shake it Paul shake it!!!!

  • 4:06-4:09 - Abbey Road Part 2

  • this song for some reason reminds me of 2009 when I've gotten reacquainted with a bunch of old high school buddies on Facebook and some of them rejecting me on Facebook but it did give me an attitude makeover and helped me remember the person I used to be in my younger years and it feels great to be that person again, from 2006-08 I've had a close relationship with this girl I really liked and I became this egotistical rock star and I didn't know who I was anymore, thank God for Facebook!

  • Ik ben een grote Macca fan, maar slechter dan dit gedrocht heeft hij gelukkig nooit gemaakt. Pure trash en rommel is dit... die typische eighties sound, om van te kosten... bweurk!

  • Why were Donna Dixon and Vanessa Angel cut from the video?

  • So what's all the fuss......35 people are ijits.

  • Hands down - one of the best solo-songs from "Macca"!

  • @fortheloveoftunes Tho I agree it is second,Press To Play Just kicked ass!

  • PAUL looks GREAT in this video! well.. Paul always looks great! Love this song's rythm

  • Too bad this had to been Paul's final Top 10 hit

  • @Doobie1975, it sounds really weird saying this was his final top 10 hit, and yet he's still alive.

  • Macca hit #7 in Billboard, 2-8-86. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great week!

  • haha... Cool. Paul's nice in it

  • Shite.

  • i like the ending of the video they are walking Abbey Road

  • Who paused from 0:54 to 0:55? I did :-)

  • Thats Vanessa Angel. If you ever seen the movie Kingpin you know who she is.

  • Nope, sorry Paul, don't get it.

  • @kanesgirl623 its a song for a movie called "spies like us" ... its just based on the plot for the film

  • best band set up ever

  • @wkukify lol you bet

  • wow

    great!!!

    PAUL ROCKS!!!!

  • paul with the prince charles's mask is sooo coolll

  • RUBBISH

  • @georgedelaselvapue COMPLETE rubbish.

  • Siempre pense que esta cancion estaba vetada por la industria de la musica...I always thought this song was banned by music industry..am I right?

  • I'm not a big fan of Paul McCartney's zmusic in the 80's, but I think this song is freaking amazing!

  • Saw this at the theater with the first girl I ever loved. Back when Chevy was still funny.

  • 31 people are not spies like us

  • This song for some reason reminds me of when I've first joined Facebook and me getting reunited with a bunch of old high school buddies and they helped me remember who I used to be back in my younger years (I graduated from high school in the late 90s) and I sure am grateful to have them back in my life again today! This song also reminds me of how goofy I was and again today

  • Old Paul was pretty devoid of good songwriting ideas by this point.

  • I wonder if this video could've been better if John Belushi had not died on March 5, 1982.

  • The guitar that Paul is playing is the same one he used on the original recording for "Paperback Writer". It's a right-handed Epiphone strung upside down.

  • why did people think it was ok to put all those sounds in a music video? makes listening painful

  • Paul makes me smile like a giddy little girl.

Well, I AM a giddy little girl!

  • It's hard to believe that the same genius that wrote all those brilliant Beatles and Wings songs could actually have created this crap.

  • @themindminder trollin'!

  • God, I hate that drum sound. Funny how the 80's are the dustbin of pop music. Well, at least this video has great shots of the Rick and Casino!

  • @lptomtom the 80s were definetely higher in the food chain than the 90s. although, the 80s had traveling wilburys and flowers in the dirt and the 90s had stuff like flaming pie & driving rain

  • This could be an awesome model runway song

  • Paul <3<3<3

  • The original Pomplamoose video.

  • Comment removed

  • Paul looks awful with grey hair.

  • @kurciarz I honestly think his light brown hair looks worse.

  • wow this is one BAD fucking song. bad song, bad recording, bad acting in the video - I wish John was still alive, i can imagine the phonecall!

"Paul? Paul ya koont - what the fook was with that stupid video?!"

  • I really hate the way drums sounded in the '80s.

  • @FruscianteLennon311 I hated most of the 80s production values. It was awful at the time. I remember detesting 80s production back then but also being bemused as to why people wanted their music to sound so dull and devoid of tone.

  • I may be one of the biggest Paul McCartney fans... but hey folks, this song sucks, what a DRAG - that eighties sound...

  • @patjepatatje1958 you sir, are an idiot. How can you be a fan of McCartney if you don't like this song?

  • @Ironriot11 thats like saying how can you be a fan of food and not like all food

  • @stavie03 No it's like saying you like hotdogs but not all hotdogs. WTF?!?! Anyway I respect your opinion and if you don't like this song that's fine, if a little odd.

  • @patjepatatje1958

Despite the stereotypical 80's production the melody and lyrics are classic McCartney and that doesn't 'suck' and is not a 'drag'.

  • One of the greatest movies of the 80s, the song isnt bad either!!!

  • paul mccartney is cool. he was my favorite and he always will be!

  • 0:49 - what a beautiful moment :)

  • is that carl wilson in the vid too?

  • hahas at the end, looked like abby road

  • @gunboss201 it is at abbey road

  • a great video and a very funny movie.....Love this!!!.....thanks for posting it

  • Great song.. But, where are the choir-girls at the end of the video???

    Original video shows them...

  • Paul wrote some of the greatest songs ever. And he also wrote Spies Like Us.

  • @slidebone Is that a good thing or a bad thing that he wrote "Spies Like Us"?

  • @Doobie1975 i actually saw this at the movies and i had the 45 of this song. my excuse, was i was only 14 at the time.

  • back when chevy and dan had hair and paul actually let his go salt and pepper! a catchy little number none the less.

  • 25 people hate spies like us! :D

  • One of the rare Paul McCartney songs of the 1980s that didn't crack the AC chart

  • DOCTOR!

  • DOCTOR

  • never seen the movie but im tempted to now :P Was this actually in the movie or is it like most videos where the cips are but the actual video isnt?

  • @JohnnysGurl4Ever95 - Paul wasn't in the movie.

  • Paul McCartney is and has always been so cute =)

And the best musician of all time ^^

  • Can we be spies like them?

  • Boy did that being back memories. Paul mcCartneys proudest moment. And Now 25 years later Dan ackroyd is yogi bear. Congratu f-ing -lations to you all on getting older not better.

  • @OneLonelyPepper Spies Like Us.

  • I love this song.

  • This song isn't bad at all!

  • I'm sorry, but the chemistry between Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase Isn't there; It's not the same as Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. That's why "Spies Like Us" wasn't a good movie. This song is cool, however.

  • Huh, Paul plays drums right-handed. Odd.

  • Vintage McCartney.

  • Epicness in a bottle!!!!

  • McCartney is a musical genous!

  • i love it bc of what it reminds me of, damn i miss those good 80's days and movies!!

  • i rememebr this song bacc in 80's loved it then and now jus didnt know it was a paul mccartney song, GREAT SONG

  • I wouldn't exactly rank this as one of Paul's best songs but it is a really fun, catchy tune to sing along with and it does make you feel goofy

  • The best McCartney song ever!!!!!

  • aww, such a cutie... even at his 40s!! :D

  • 1:04 Paul cant drum like Ringo

  • PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTEEEEE

  • Even if this isn't a good song at least it's a fun tune to listen to and Paul seems to have a knack at turning a mediocre tune and making something great out of it

  • Billboard's #93 song of '86. Macca hit #7 pop, #31 rock, in the US. Did he chart in the UK? God bless y'all, and, Merry Christmas!

  • OUCH! Lets just say someone wasn't writing the best songs in the 80s ... the bigger they are the harder they fall, and this song is one MASSIVE flop!!

  • The rocket plane drop was instant funny.

  • Such a flimsy piece of fluff. Paul wrote a certified classic in "Live and Let Die," but this is even worse than his theme song for "Vanilla Sky." The video is clever (in spots), and Paul pours on the charm, but John's "pretty face" swipe is right on target here - it's the only thing going for this otherwise embarrassing crap. And it still made top ten.

  • Was listening to McCartney's Radio Band on the Run on Sirius radio hoping to hear this song and it came on. Put a big smile on my face and shook my head like crazy at 3:14.

  • wait i was looking for that sarah shourd song

  • The spies kidnapped Paul and forced him to do a song for them. Otherwise they'll force him to be an Amercian citizen. ;p

  • I was going through a string of rough times in my life and this song helped me cope with these rough times and turned me into a happier soul knowing that things will eventually work out and me discovering this song has totally changed my life

  • 2:52 face palm. Somehow he already knows just how bad this song is.

  • Sucky!

  • ugh i just love this video.

  • And This was his last Top 10 hit in The states...

  • I thought this song/video was stupid 25 years ago, and I still do.

  • ha ha ha ha horrible.

  • I have never seen this movie, but this song is great - it's catchy, Paul wrote it, sang it, and played all of the instruments. The song is up-to-date with its time (80s), shows Paul's adaptability where some song-writers can't get out of their era. There is nothing wrong with the song - it may be outdated today, but for it's time - it's a solid hit.

  • @cheatshot26 if youve never seen this movies I would definitely recommend that you at least rent it. Its an 80's icon....a cult classic. I would have to rate it right up there with "The Breakfast Club". Its a cult classic.

  • @cheatshot26 I've seen the movie, it's pretty funny, Paul does such a great job on song writing :) He is a brilliant genius

  • 1:44

so fucking embarrassing watching him get into this crappy song!! It's like you just know that six months later, he saw it and probably thought "WHAT THE HELL HAVE I DONE, this song is terrible!"

  • @cheatshot26 you've never seen the movie? holy crap - I've seen it dozens of times - excellent flick!

  • @cheatshot26 The movie what hilarious.

  • @cheatshot26 How can you not have seen the movie?? Its one of the best movies of the 80s!!!

  • @cheatshot26 Very much agreed. 28 people need to stop trollin' and start appreciating good music. Like you said, good for it's time. It's also a damn fun song to listen to today.

  • I don't understand whats so bad about this, its catchy? I mean maybe its not his best, but still great!

  • Back when Paul,Dan and Chevy were still not too fat !

  • from "Live and Let Die" to this........

  • When Paul pulls off the Prince Charles mask, he has the most adorable look.

  • @kirchfam i know! <3

  • @kirchfam U FAT???

  • this movie sucked ass so badly I wanted my ticket money back!

  • 4:05 Well, thats double win for me.

  • Why are people all of the sudden bashing John Landis on this song, I thought he was a great movie director and some of my favorite movies are the ones he directed, meanwhile this song definitely makes me feel goofy and it inspires me to still be happy no matter how rough things can be in life

  • Hi do a search for "the fourth contrast" in our latest single "Jane" we have incorporated some McCartney sounds, merged it with Brian Wilson´s harmonies.

  • haha 4:06 its lieka combination of band on the run and abbey road (probably cause it is)

  • John Landis is a murderous idiot and an embarrasment for the USA and the human race in general, and anybody willing to work with him is a certified idiot with no shame nor sense of decency.

  • @oliaiguambfigues76 and a special welcome to Vic Morrow's relative!!

  • @oliaiguambfigues76 - WTF???

  • @oliaiguambfigues76 dude he's not that bad I mean he directed such classics like National Lampoon's Animal House, The Blues Brothers and Three Amigos

  • Aren't all those people ashamed to themselves. Collaborating with that murderer, that waste of human flesh called John Landis. I know that Chevy Chase is an utter idiot, so he doesn't surprise me, but Paul McCartney and Dan Aykroyd? What they were thinking?

  • Hilarious ! thanks for the vid visuals ;-p

  • @YelllowNailVarnish its 80's man!

  • Did Paul ever perform this song live? It's a shame this was his final Top 10 hit in the States

  • Oh Em Gee.. When Paul took of the mask at 0:49 I was blown off my chair from the pure sexyness of his smile... *drool*

  • @TheJesterGirl I know right?????!!!!!!!
