What great fun it must have been for his band mates...to share with such great knowledge. To ba fe fagbo...I thought we should preserve Pebbles Shrine!
@inquiry7 Power na to help your land . I cannot even say I miss Fela men! Sad Men are not made like this anymore ehn our women our women which kind men una dey raise now?
That was back then. Listen to how alive it is even now, more than 20 years later. And we thought he was stupid. Betctwe want him back here and want him back now. It's even more sentimental if you could understand Nigerian Pidgin. Good old Fela Kuti. Bless your soul universal black man!!
Fela is still extremely relevant musically. I've never heard any one else say this but I credit him as the true father of house music. Fela pioneered the "Endless Groove" and the sophisticated musical layering that you are hearing here. As other posters have stated he is 100% invested in what he's doing musically when he performed live and has a wonderful Zen sensibility about improvisation.
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IT SO DAMN BEAUTIFUL I LOVE THIS MAN AND HIS BAND AND HIS MUSIC JUST BEAUTIFUL YOU JUST DONT SEE THIS NO MORE SO DEEP AND ON POINT MAN I WISH I COULD BACK IN TIME LOL LOL
@natalie20088290 ohhhh so sweet.. "baba 70's" music is for all to enjoy .. its as relevant today as it was when he made the music for those who remember him from back in the day with the SHRINE and the AFRO BEAT dancers etc.. for those who are now being introduced to our ICON IN NIGERIA welcome to our world a world that has been hidden in layers and layers of false information we are thriving musically and forever growing and we are not just mimics we are INOVATORS, BABA knew his worth .
