@xphilly1818x lol as if the time and energy it would take, not to mention the increased risk it would pose to the cat to care for an infant would not be nearly as effecient as simply hunting the adults.
Perhaps she read a book as a pup about the smell differences and made a rational decision about keeping it as a food source later, because she knew that the food inflation rate in the steppes of Africa is going to accelerate.
I think its the same for all species of females...they love babies or cubs..even if its not of their own...its natural for them...that could be the reason why we call the nature/Earth "Mother"
Soooooooo, the cold killed the Baboon that night I take it by what it says at the end??? Well that's just lame. Even though the Baboon would've died either way due to the Leopards inability to feed it the proper diet, or give it milk..
its a pity that the baby most lickly didnt surive ,,,,,,,,,but keeping it company in its last hours is somthing that the tiger was probably doing and that is nice all the same ,,,
but there is nothing completly amazing abou this ,,iv always known animals are able to carry
most of the same traits humans can remember us humans are just animals as well
@morr42 it's not compassion though it's just the leopard's wiring in the brain of a maternal nature taking over the predatory side. It thinks it's a cub so tries to help it survive because it's wired into the animal to make sure their species survives
wow when even animals appreciate innocency of a child even though it can be their delicious food, unlike humans who frequently forget about human being and just think about their benefit, these ppl r more poor than animals
This is so fake. Im a jaguar and id have totally munched on that monkey.

I think the leopard is just fattening up the baby baboon for the later kill.
djhobby 11 months ago 2
@captainflagella Or maybe the zombie noises are taken from the leopard's growl. That seems more logical.
lateraldrop 11 months ago
Anyone else notice how the leopards growls at the beginning are taken from the zombie noises in half life 2? xD

so beautiful and full full of compassion!

Its called farming... With her own baboon she could raise it and mate it and have a readily available food source for whenever she needed.
