Ok a file sharing religion?...scientology version 2 anyone? Sure as hell not me. Also for a laptop 1 tb is a good size but in my desktop ive already used 2 tb of my 3.5 tb i bought thanks to steam game sales:) But if large space is needed just buy an external 1 tb drive then stick an ssd in the laptop and let it fly.

@toyotaprius79 People who do video editing (like myself) need large storage systems to store all of the video media + creating videos and 3d motion graphics. This is why we want/need terabytes of storage

@toyotaprius79 I do video editing for my school and as a hobby and I can honestly tell you that 1TB is the minimum any video editor needs. I am at 70 % full now and it's filled with Time Machine Backups of my Mac, photo backups, Final Cut Express scratch files and documents.

Good news if apple is using Thunderbolt and more things are then you can use macs with non mac monitors and PCs with the thunderbolt display!

I have been looking to get a MacBook pro and when I went looking I realised that there is a new set coming out supposedly around march April time with the new Ivy bridge intel processor, I would just like you to cover what impact ivy bridge will have or whether I should just not wait and get one now, cheers!
