Sergei is back in California with his family. He is working on getting his GED and staying away from trouble. His story is very complicated and knowing Sergei personally, I would advice people not to judge him or his mother too harshly. Sergei is working hard on getting back on his feet.

His mom kicked him out on his 18th birthday, so he can't go to high school if he's not near his home or high school. You know it's funny...generally I find that the posts & replies on youtube are filled with hate & insensitivity, but this channel has really shown me how caring people are. Even people just watching these clips, posting how much they care for their fellow-men. It really gives me hope. It saddens me just how lost & alone Sergei looks in this clip. And while life is not fair, I'd hazard to bet many more of these people in the videos are thankful than those that don't struggle as much...they know the value of simple kindness and being able to make the best of their situation. You know it's funny...generally I find that the posts & replies on youtube are filled with hate & insensitivity, but this channel has really shown me how caring people are. Even people just watching these clips, posting how much they care for their fellow-men. It really gives me hope. It saddens me just how lost & alone Sergei looks in this clip. Omg... that's so sad. To spend your first day being 18, an adult, roaming the streets looking for a place to stay the night. If I was a mother, I would not abandon my child like that. She could have at least waited until he was done with high school. With no diploma, it will make it 100 times harder for him to find a decent job. The problem I have is our government spends trillions in foreign aid and relief but doesn't have any programs in place for our homeless. The military was the place that young men in this situation ended up in my day, now the military won't take them. Why don't we have work stations for these people to go to and earn a decent amount of money? We spend trillions on education and there"s not a place for this young man to get a High School Diploma, education should never end. Shame on our government
