I just bought Liberation and there's about a minute and a half of a quite outro to the song "Liberation" that calms you down, only to lead into this explosion of aggressive drumming and fast guitar playing... There is truly no better black metal band out there right now than 1349.

Grim was the drummer who played on Immortals Pure Halocaust and Gorgoroths Under the Sign of Hell and I think he played for Taake or someone like them. He killed himself back in the 90's though.

Is anyone else more imressed by the speed at which the guitarists are tremolo picking? Just to be that fast is pretty damn inhuman and to do it throughout pretty much the entirety of the song. For fuck's sake. I don't think people give 1349's guitarists enough credit because Frost overshadows them I guess

Hellhammer is a fantastic drumer,but he is to technical with his drum work to the point hwere it sounds like everyting is being hit and you can't tell what is what.I like frost's drumming in this cover and all of 1349.He does really cool and solid drumming for Satyricon as well...But why compare.They both are BM's best drummers and possible the worlds best drummers as well.
