Hey i was wondering if you can still buy all those aluminum upgrades still for the tt01e ? just bought one and really want to toughen it up . Thanks for all your efforts btw , great videos .
Those "adjusters" are called preload collars and you should never put grease on them. Dirt sticks to grease and dirt caused excessive wear. Also you want stiffer springs in the front for better performance.
@fordyrox thanks man..but your 1 year too late.. lol. I dont even own the car anymore.. but never had an issue with any of my RC's by greasing the preload collars and some would think by my channel I have had a few.. ;) Please remember when shooting video for others to watch.. sometimes you cant get all the terms right.. even when you know them.. lol.. kinda like writers block.. but your on cam. I never claimed to be a pro.. thats 4 sure :) And for the record.. Im a terrible drifter lol :)
@djmedic2008 Ok, I have heard of a few people who have ruined the thread on the shock body because of the dirt sticking to them but I suppose it depends on where you run. The track that I race on has alot of debris and grit so no-one greases anything exposed. I dont drift mutch either but im not too bad at it, plus it helps at the track for when the car breaks traction knowing how to hold a drift untill you get traction back. :)
hey im new to on road rc and have just ordered a hpi sprint 2 sport but i have been with off road for a while. is this car good begginer kit for an 11 year old like me?
@brooksslash Yes the tt01 is an awesome first car, Mi first was a tt01. I never won many races with it but it was fun. I have moved on to a sakura zero s. The sprint 2 is also a good starter but stay away from the e10.
@killersushi99 oh dang, now it sounds like Im being disagreeable.. Im truly not trying to be.. but i never had an issue with stripped gears in this rig. i have long since given it away - but never even stripped one gear. Good advice for others though.. in this rig.. it was bulletproof
But everything is SOLID! You cant adjust any camber. Best Setup on a TT01 if you want the bling bling aluminum is only do the lower arms. Leave the uppers stock. HPI Super Drifts will be smooth on asphalt in about 4 hours. That pretty tread will be history. HPI T-Drifts are better for the price. For out on the street doing some practice just run Sushi Drift plastic tires. 16 tires for $10. Indoor smooth polished concrete HPI T Drifts all day.
medic 1 bad thing tough i see that u cant change camber and some times thats critical for drift cornering and controll so adjustable would be good and is your back diff locked ??? if you lock it you drift the corners better
Your one of the best rc drift person! You show everything step by step clearly indicating any minor things too! Just wish i had more money to buy all these cool stuff! Keep up the good work!

@fordyrox how about drift cars? should the front suspension be stiffer too?
quaiboi 11 months ago
@quaiboi In general you want the same suspention all round but It really depends on where the weight is. Hope this helps :)

OH BTW. You had better replace the plastic motor mount with a metal one when you switch to brushless or youll be stripping gears like crazy.

I love the RC hobby, and showing people the fun they can have with robotics. I also support my local hobby shop and other manufacturers.
