  • Thank you very much! I was stressing-out as I needed my passport and birth certificate as proof of citizenship for my new job. Unfortunately, I had misplaced the key for the fire safe! With your video, it took me two tries, as my tension wrench was jacked up, so I created a new one, did as instructed and opened it. Again, thank you so much!

  • Seriously, I lost the key to my safe years ago and decided I wanted to retrieve what was in it, so I took my tweezers and managed to open it. It's not hard to open a lock at all.

  • I just used a drill press?

  • Ooohhhh it goes COUNTERCLOCKWISE ! DOH

  • Works! Thank you, I have never picked a lock before, but lost my keys to this Sentry 1100 box, watched your vid, made the tools & got in in under 2 minutes. THX!!!

  • it didnt work but my locks thing is smaller then a normal lock, it has a small key, and i cant get it, how do u do it with a lock tht has a small key hole?

  • took me a while to get it, but I did thanks for showing us how to do this. Now I am interested in more!

  • Saved me Big Time!!!.... not sure this is a skill I should know though....

  • You sir are a life saver!!! We lost our key to the ''box'' and a local locksmith wanted fifty bucks to get in it. I did it in less than a minute with your help. Many Thanks!

  • BROTHER YOU ARE A LIFE SAVE...I HAVE LESS THAN 6HRS TO GET ON A PLANE TO MEXICO AND I LOST MY DAMN KEYS TO MY SAFE...I LOOKED YOU UP (GRANTED I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE) AND WAS ABLE TO DO IT N 5MINS..YOURE THE DOPEST!

  • honestly i'm glad you can do this cuz i'm always losing the damned key

  • what size diamond pick did you use? thank you.

  • @teatreeleaves1 Small diamond pick is my favorite and I pretty much use it all the time, as seen in my vid "Small diamond on 14 locks - timed", and most of my other vids.

  • it worked. i did mine a little different, but it opened. thank you. :)

  • @teatreeleaves1 You're welcome. That's really just a cheap wafer lock, like you'll find on desk drawers, cheap filing cabinets, tool boxes, etc... Which you should also be able to open now.

-But remember NEVER open a lock that's not yours without permission.

  • Awesome. I doubted it, and I didnt know what I was doing, but something started clicking and voila, it opened

  • First time took me like 5 min, then a few, now takes like 30 seconds. Great vid!

  • What the hell does 45 and 90 mean? degrees??

  • @IanSchultz92 If you do a 360 (degrees is implied) that means you turned all the way around, if you do a 180 that means you turned half way around, a 90 is a quarter way, and a 45 is a eight of the way around.

-Just look up "degrees of angles". It's really pretty basic, don't make it harder than what it is.

  • Popped open safe first try with this video. Then I broke the wrench off in the lock. Oops.

  • Great vid.. Got my passport just before bahamas!!

  • There isn't any need to have a the TV on in the background. It is distracting and someone that points out the flaw in the video is trying to help you make a better product. Tip for Bruno.... don't go into customer service.

  • @LavaGlacier I got a tip for you too, mind your own frickin' business and stifle.

I got many thanks for this vid from people who lost their key, and not one complained about the TV being on (technically you don't need sound to understand the vid). Except for one frustrated fu*k-nut with ADD that is to uncoordinated and can't focus enough to get his open.

-I also see in order to stifle you completely; I'm going to need duct tape annnnd a pair of oven mitts. :)

(I can count to 1000 in ASL.)

  • Don't listen to neeyotube, turn the volume up, it's Seinfeld!

  • Hahaha, I've never ever picked a lock before. Tried it on a modernish Sentry, worked like a charm. Damn those things ain't meant for security xD

  • @blackfeathr Actually Sentry safes are not secure at all. They are made to protect important documents from fire much more so than they are made to keep people out.

  • Turn down the TV next time.

  • @neeyotube Quit being a frickin' whiner. If you had any problem hearing or following me, because the TV is on in the background (at a reasonable sound level), well then you need to up your Ritalin.

  • It didn't work. my mom lost her keys. my older sister and I had to reaort to prying it open with a hammer and a giant flathead screwdriver. Sad.

  • locked my weed up n lost my damn keys, if i dont find em pretty soon im gonna have to try this

  • after u made this vid todas new is 100 people ben robed from their safes with a paper clip lol

  • Thanks. Worked like a charm. Was able to get into my safe for home info after loosing the keys. Thanks again.

  • WOW!!! Lost the key, but this opened my safe in less than 2 minutes. Thanks for saving me from a trip to the locksmith!!!

  • Thanks. Couldn't find the key for months, but it was very easy to do with your help. Once I saw what you were doing, it took no time at all... which was surprising, considering I've never picked a lock before.

Maybe with the $90 I saved from having a locksmith do it, I should buy a real safe, eh?!

  • yeah... i lost my key and thought of giving my sentry 1100 away (it didnt have anything in it) but i hope this works

  • HA! I did it! Straightened paper clip and a thin flat screw driver. Thank God for YouTube!

  • omfg u are the man. just unlocked my safe. tysm

  • Thanks...I spent two hours looking for my key, 2 minutes looking for your video, 1 minute making the tool, 2 seconds to pick the lock. I appreciate you taking the time. I think I need a better safe. Cheers!

  • This works i wish i had seen last month I had to cancel a trip to London England because my passport was locked up and my wife lost the key thank you for sharing it with me

  • PS - Just opened my other model Sentry 1170 in 10 seconds using the same paper click tools the trension wrench and rake !!!!! You the man ! Thanks .... ***** 5 STARS !

  • BRAVO ! Never picked a lock worked - it worked in under 8 minutes for me! Will it work for a Sentry 1170 model safe too? Thanks ! Cool ! Saved me money! Five stars ***** !!!

  • hi do you know the serial number of the sentry safe 1100?

I have one but I dont know the serial thnaks

  • @2migell The serial # is on a sticker inside, different # for each lock box. The model # is 1100.

If you're trying to replace a lost key, there's a "letter" stamped on the lock, it's the key code. Go to Sentrysafe (.) com you'll need the model, serial & lock #'s. They will charge a min of $15. Or try a lock shop he might be a little cheaper. You can't just replace the lock since it's snapped into the plastic holder.

    Key from Sentry $15

Key from lock shop about $10

    New safe $25, your choice.

  • THANKS it saved my a?? i was about to get the hammer and screw driver out.

  • yeah and then how do you lock it again

  • @amkiller13 The same way, just turn it clock wise.

  • yep, took me around 15 minutes to unlock (the hardest part was keeping the paperclip from bending out of shape) but literally just took a second to relock it...

  • and i said " ive seen it be done with a penny" : youtube.com/watch?v=OGA4P-Ma20E&feature=related

    i wasnt lieing..

  • @lexusowner I didn't say you were lying. I said the lock was already broken before he "opened it with a penny". It's a B.S. vid, I've seen it a few years back.

  • you could have straight up stuck the whole paper clip in there- and turned; ive seen it done with a penny.

  • @lexusowner Alright then, go for it. And let me know when you get it open with no signs of tampering. The only way it'll open with your methods is if the lock is already broken.

  • @bruno2260 wont waste my time buying a piece of shit safe.. sorry. i have an ar-15 for that..

  • @lexusowner Once again it's NOT A SAFE it's a fire-box.

I have a AR-15 too, check out my other vids- "open a gun lock with paper clip" & "picking a AK-47 trigger lock"

  • @bruno2260 theres a big difference between an ak-47 and an ar-15. lmao. to bad your not as smart with guns as you are with locks.. -- the difference between the 2 is like the difference to a "fire-box" to a "safe" -- they both are the same idea/ but one is way different then the other.. (does that make sense?)

what im saying is- noone comes in my house uninvited/ and if they do; they get the "get the hell out; 1- 2- pow!" and people know me for doing it.. i dont need a safe.

  • @lexusowner I don't need someone who actually believes that you can open a working lock with a penny, to tell me the difference between a AK and a AR, especially when I never compared them to begin with, wtf?.

Buy American, use spell check & get educated on a subject before you go yammering on like a fool.

  • you were watching seinfeild rite?

  • yo can you lock the safe after you pick it so no one can tell the safe was broken into?

  • Yess!!! ur the man!

thanks for the video, just unlocked my grandpa's old safe.... whats inside?? you will never know!

  • Cool video. If you can't get that to work use one of these tools for $1.50 Works every time. Easy. It's a sprinker head adjusting tool.

    store.rainbird.com/product/detail/Y05100.aspx

  • Dude you rock! Just did this on our Sentry 1170 that we lost the key for. Two minutes tops.

  • i tried this on my own just for the hell of it and it worked pretty easily but if i wanted to break in someones safe i would just pop it open with a wedge and hammer, or a small crobar

  • @tankownzu But that's what it's all about, being nondestructive. A monkey can smash it with a hammer.

  • holy shit nice monney want to share???? :]

  • Took me a little bit to get it to work, but suprisingly it did so I tried a few more times and once you get the hang of it, it's simple. Scary!

  • I tried this on my safe and I couldn't open it for the life of me!

  • this is not a safe its a FIRE BOX dumb fuck

  • @SpazzKid44 No shit ass-hole, I never said it was. Do a little reading before you go posting ignorant comments...dumb fuck.

  • all you really need to open this is a screwdriver tho that would dammage the lock in most cases.

and yes i know this is not a safe.

  • Damn you make bank with your picking skills!

  • Wow. I can't believe how easy this was. I lost my keys and ordered replacements over a month ago from Sentry. They made sure to bill me for the keys right away, but I haven't seen them yet. I'm going to call them to cancel the order and refund me as it took me less than a minute to open it after watching this video.

  • Showing how to pick this lock isn't going to help thieves since you can order new keys right on the Sentry website for $25. But it did save me $25 when I lost my key.

    Thanks for the video...

  • @bruno 2260

I have two of these boxes but ones blue and I can get into the white one like you but not the blue one, is there difference between the two boxes if you know

  • Thank you. I watched the video about 3 times to see what you were doing and I used a small flat head screw driver wedged in the bottom of the slot for the torsion and a bent bobby pin for the rake. 30 seconds of juggling around and it opened. I love the internet.

  • i use sisors

  • "Floppy disc box" wafer lock. Don't even keep your little brother (or kids in general) out of your stuff - but if you're lucky they'll keep out your mother in law.

You don't learn anything about serious lock picking with those floppy disc box locks - only how to break into your little sisters "treasure" chest.

  • thanks man i've lost my key while moving and i've got some cash i need to get to.

  • Man that was amazing; I did exactly what you displayed on this video and it work perfectly. Thank You

  • @Pastorhutch1 No problem.

  • Man that was amazing; I did exactly what you displayed on this video and it work perfectly. Thank You

  • Just what I needed! I can get to my daughter's SS card and shot records now!

  • @eicebleu Your welcome! Everyone loses there keys to these boxes.

-Also this method will work on other simple locks like desk drawers a file cabinets.

  • @eicebleu that was pretty sweet just did ty step mom lost her keys and told me to open it and she give me 20$ well i got it open tysm

  • @juston8r9steel Haha! that was an easy $20!

  • Thank you so much! I can't tell you how much you saved my butt today. My daughter's kindergarten roundup is tomorrow morning, and they won't let her register without a birth certificate. Needless to say, it was in my 1100 and the keys were "misplaced." I was skeptical, but your method was easy to accomplish! Again, I owe you one!

  • @adambomb092782 Your welcome! I know everybody misplaces there keys to their lock boxes.

-Anyway hope she had fun at the round-up!

  • Thanks for teaching people how to break into my shit...

  • @zzzilxlizzz It's a firebox NOT a safe. If your worried about your "shit", get a real safe (one that is fire-rated with a combo lock), and bolt it to the fucking floor, you stupid fuck.

  • @zzzilxlizzz OR.. People like you could just stop uploading videos for 38,000 people to learn how to pick locks.. I'm sure 38,000 people have lost the keys to their Sentry 1100 safes... Stupid fuck...

  • @zzzilxlizzz You call ME stupid? You last comment you replied to yourself! Now that's just beyond stupid!

The lowest rating on a modern Binet scale is IQ < 20 and is labeled "profound retardation", post modern it is labeled more harsher as "idiot".

I don't believe you are writing an answer to yourself because you are schizo, I believe it's because of you're inability to learn and you just don't know any better.

I just hope you are wearing your helmet.

  • @zzzilxlizzz I would of answered sooner if you actually directed your question to me and not yourself. And again it's NOT A SAFE, IT'S A FIREBOX. It's to protect property against fire not burglary.

If you're in an environment where you need a safe and this was your choice well... it's more than obvious that you are the actual "stupid fuck".

  • @zzzilxlizzz no what i am 15 trying to get pills to sell and i need money so shut the fuck up bitch

  • @zzzilxlizzz 45 large now ....yikes

im responsible glad i know now

  • OH HAAAAYYYyyyyYYYYY! I THAWT U WERE WURKN 2DAI!

  • Tried again turning to the left this time and within 6 seconds it opened. Scary to think how easy it was when done correctly, but once again thanks man actually one of the first videos on how to do something on here ive seen worth a crap.

  • Bron2260, coming from one of the most skeptical person ever to watch stuff like this online thanks man. Spent about 30 minutes trying this never could open it. Took another look at this video again the next day, saw that I was turning the lock to the right instead of the left with the tension rod.

  • I've never picked a lock before but had to get into my sentry 1100 and had lost the keys. This really worked in less than 2 minutes! Thanks for sharing.

  • thank you very much for posting this instruction. today my mother had lost her key to the sentry 1100 and i found your video on google search. i followed your directions and the box opened instantly.

  • @elkwedelfart You're welcome. This will also work on basic file cabinet and desk drawer type locks.

  • @elkwedelfart Whatever, you totally robbed someone. :-) I kid, I kid...

  • i used a flat head screwdriver and a hammer to get my 1100 open. stick the flat head screwdriver in the slot above the lock, hit it with a hammer about 5 times and it is open.

  • @markjungwirth Yea, but that technique not only ruins the lock, but also is a form of forced entry.

  • Can you please make a video explaining how to open a sentry 2100 without pro tools? thanks.

  • these are such garbage. i picked it with those tools, and thought maybe i'd accomplised something because i only had to try for like 10 seconds. then i reset the lock, and opened it with scissors... and it only took like 10 seconds with scissors and NO force.

  • Very good Vid. I Watched this once and did it in less than a minute. thx.

  • you can do it with a swiss army knife smaller blade its pretty easy just keep wiggling it

  • damn man i remember when i asked you for this i gotta tell you thanks man you were a big help

    your work inspires many

and secondly your like a guru right now to me aha

  • thankyou :D i spent countless hours looking for the key, gave up and looked on youtube on how to pick it and yours worked.

  • God Damn that mofo gotta bunch of money

  • wow whats wrong with me that i cant get this. im getting pissed off!!

  • got it :)

  • Can you pick a Sentry Safe 2250?

  • You really wanna open it, hammer and chisel 1 hard knock to the center above the seem open like a hookers leg. x

  • u can unlock this much faster with suture scissors you need the hook end it i got it open in 2-3 seconds jiggle turn left.

  • Comment removed

  • I lost the keys to my safe and i watched this video and i didn't think that i could do it and sure as heck it worked! Thanks... this video helped alot!!

  • holy shit.. i cant believe that this worked.. the thing that took the longest was bending the paper clips.. i thought they had to be perfect... but after a few tries the lock turned... I love you man.. no homo though! hahah

  • i used a nail file and it took me 2 trys... first lock ever, i still cant believe it

  • i just did it, and shit brix

  • Awesome video it took me two trys but i got it.

  • Yeah, Followed your instructions and had it opened in about 3 min. Thanks

  • My sisters money is no longer safe.

  • great job! as far as the paper clips..you're using the thicker longer ones, correct?

  • Just a normal everyday paperclip.

  • I own this safe. I lost the keys. I watched this video twice. Now i'm not worried about the effing keys. I can't believe I owned the worlds easiest to pick safe:( this guy is awesome. Time for a new safe.

  • ok for 1 ur fucking loaded and 2 what do u do with the top pick just wiggle it around?

  • Pull it out QUICKLY, "raking" it a crossed the wafers while turning the tension wrench.- If no luck with a few "rakes" adjust your tension, pressure & speed.-If you bend a clip, you're probably using to much force.- This is a great beginner lock and a 1st timer should get it within 5 min.- This is the same type of lock that is on desk drawers, screen doors & some file cabinets. Try them next!

-Also check-out my "friends" vids and soon you'll be opening "security pin" locks!

  • awesome this video just saved me never picked a lock before nor have i tried got it within 5 minutes... Wasnt even an 1100 but a different sentry lock box

  • Nvm I'm an imbecile I worked backwards lost my eys was gunna cut the safe open and get a new one now I'll just pick it every time I need to access it !!! Thanks man!

  • How do you re lock it afterwards

  • Do everything the same, just turn it the other way.

  • This is of great help. I was going to get it open throu a locksmith, got it done in 5 mins! Great relief

  • thats scary quick

  • that is awesome

  • Where do you live? Haha jk...

  • i wish i coulda done this... not smart enough i guess... just took a sledge hammer to mine and it worked great haha

  • Thank you so much it works great even though i did it on a honeywell

  • does it work for a 1150

  • wow so simple,

took me like 10 seconds first try

  • thank u so much i had 2 bb guns and 200 dollars in my thank u so much my cat ate my key:(

  • thank you a lot

  • thanks man that really help me out cause i left me key in my brother car but thanks i did it in 1min

  • really really good job man..helped me alot ..opened it less then a minute!!

  • Great video. It worked like a charm.

  • Thanx alot man, lost my key along time ago........and this video helped get the effin thing open.......THANX ALOT

  • FUCKIN' GREAT VID MAN! I just broke into the safe where my meds are stashed! Whoo-Hoo! Thanks a lot; it worked perfectly!

  • yeah.. sentry 1100 def isnt DAT secure... hahaa i bent my paperclip into half [ making it slim] and just stuck it in the lock and twisted and it opened.

  • Worked for me, great tutorial!!!

  • thanx man ... I was able to get into my Sentry 1160 thanks to da video in like five minutes on da first try. Thank you so fuckin much for this video

  • thank you that works so fucking well! =D

  • lol me and my friend just opened a safe in my room with a bobby pin after watching the video

    thankss

  • Keep pressure on the tension wrench to the left, insert the 45 degree piece in the top as far as it will go. Keep light tension on the bottom one and wiggle the top until it feels like it went like 1/16th of an inch (or something) further than you thought it could.

Now hold the two firm and rotate counterclockwise - Voila!

    Thanks a lot man.

When you turn it, remove your hands very carefully, don't disturb the picks. Open. Do what you will. Close lid and rotate clockwise.

  • i locked it using the same method.

  • this helped me out so much. thank you!

  • could you send me a download of this video to my email please?

  • I got mine open (I lost the key) but I destroyed it in the process.

  • never mind i got it

  • how do you lock it back with out the key

  • holy shit... i just tried it on my safe... it worked in like 20 seconds... now i just cant get it to lock again haha

  • dude oh my fucking "insert ur religouse "higher power" here" ur fna thank you so much dude i lost my key to and this really helped

  • if i pry a sentry safe 1100 open with the back of a hammer will i still be able to use it after or will it be broken forever?

  • Thanks a lot for this video...lost my keys and your method worked like a charm! Cheers!

  • All I succeeded in doing was to get the paper clip stuck...

  • Dumbass, that safe is to protect against fire, NOT THEFT! Here, a quote from their web site:

"A key-lock provides privacy in daily use and prevents the lid from opening in the event of a fire."

  • Well your a God-dam genius Gump,

This is a request vid-pay attention boy.

The guy who asked me to make this vid lost his key and didn't want to break the lock.

So before you go around calling people "dumbass" take a look at yourself, and at least spell it right dumb-ass is two words.

  • dictionaryDOTreferenceDOTcom:

    dumbass

    noun

a stupid person; these words are used to express a low opinion of someone's intelligence

    "Well your a" -> Well you're a"

And those were just the first words of your reply...

  • Lost my keys to both the 1100 and 1175 safes. This little video saved me a lot fo trouble. Not only did Sentry want $12 to replace the keys, they also wanted information about the safes I couldn't get without opening them. I'm just going to save my $12 now because this is almost as easy as puting a key in the lock and turning it. Thank you for the education!

  • cant get it with paper clip x-acto knife penny or a bedroom door key only the real safe key :-( does it matter if is a blue safe it still says 1100

  • It's really just a lock box to keep things safe in a fire, not a real "safe". Basically it's just a file cabinet, desk drawer wafer type lock.

Never seen a "blue" one but if it's a SENTRY 1100 (no matter what the color) it's probably the same lock.
